We had the gen1 Chromecast on a few TV's in our house, and loved them, but had a few minor issues over the years. We decided to pick these up on sale, and haven't experienced any issues so far. It gives a great option for streaming different types of media, and simple screen sharing. For the price, it can't be beat in my opinion.

This is amazing to change your regular TV to an Amazing smart TV. It works great with your phone, All you have to do is download the Google Home app and then you can connect your phone to it, even if it is an Apple. The only problem is that sometimes it freezes and I am not sure why, but when I want to use it and turn on the TV it is freezed, but all I have to do is restart it and it resets in less than 3 minutes.

This is so easy to set up, easy to use, and works amazing for streaming whatever you want to a television rather than having a bit set up or a bunch of other stuff. Everything you could want is able to be streamed rather than being limited and having youtube stream battles is super fun with friends!

If you don't mind having your mobile device present and running your entertainment all the time, this is excellent. Personally, it's just better to have the apps on your tv, but if you don't have the capability, this is an excellent work around.

Wish I had found this sooner?! We have one older model tv that didn’t allow us to cast videos, Netflix, etc. from our phones & other devices. This device has solved that problem with easy setup and use. Same quality picture as if we were watching directly from the tv itself. Happy with this purchase.

Compact, easy to install, and very simple to operate.

We use this to stream videos and movies on our iPhone to our TV. When visitors come and share videos, we use this to stream. Our friends and us use Youtube to stream our videos and it is so useful to use this. The processor on the chrome cast is faster than that of the built in software on the TV. This also turns our TV on for us.

Use these units specifically for chromecasting on conference room tv's. Occasionally have to restart them, but have much better reliability than TV's with the built in chromecast feature. I'd rather buy a TV without the feature and add this secondarily for an extra few dollars

I really like this device for streaming with the Chrome browser. It allows you to stream content to your smart TV et al from websites by using Google's Home app with the "Mirror device" option. This way even when a website doesn't have a Chromecast icon displayed, you can still stream it onto your smart TV with this product.

Works great to show content from your cell phone on a non-smart tv. Once you send a stream to the tv, you can even turn your phone off and it continues working. Found it more appealing then Roku where they demand that you give them a credit card number just to sign up for an account.

I had a broken laptop lying around. So I salvaged its LCD, connected it to a control board and used it as a secondary monitor. Later bought a chrome case. Now i own a smart TV. In a market where casting devices are inbuilt into the LEDs these days, I believe the cast devices are meant for cheap DIY products like these and its works like a charm. Having it with a google home devices as a partner enhances the experience greatly. I would totally recommend this.

My son requested this for his dorm. He uses his laptop and iPhone for almost all his entertainment like Netflix and music. Sometimes he will have friends over and it is difficult to share the phone screen. By using the Chromecast, it was easy for him to cast whatever he is watching on his TV. Just plug it in the HDMI port and cast. Easy,

At first I was skeptical about setting up this product thinking it wouldn't work but I just connected the HDMI port and plugged it in, set up my TV name, Wifi and boom. Instant entertainment from my phone to the TV. A lot easier control than one of those magic remotes. Now I can enjoy Starz, YouTube, Netflix, etc. effortlessly.

I have had no issues with this. I had an older version, witch would lose connection. This is a much better deal. Easy to use and set up. I did purchase while it was on sale, but bought another one at full price. We use this to stream all our streaming services instead of cable!

Love this Chromecast don't know what I'd do without this.
