I have it in year bought couple ones they they first came out. My parents saw it and been wanting one. I bring it 1 time at their house while thwy babysit our kids while my husband is in tye hospital. Bought some for them and My parents love it. They can cast wherever they are now

Easy to install and works great. Reasonably priced.

Works well once installed and setup complete. The initial setup can be a hassle. Use the GOOGLE Home app and not the older apps. Chromecast and the smartphone must use the same WiFi connection. If there's a lot of strong WiFi signals available, it very easy for a WiFi mismatch to sneak through.

I have an old LCD TV on a swivel mount in my shop and I can now cast YouTube videos from my phone straight to the TV. It helps me get more work done when I need to watch a video on anything I'm building or fixing. The connection process to my Google Home app on my phone was very easy.

I recently subscribed to YouTube TV and purchased this 3rd Gen upgrade to my 1st Gen Chromecast (from 2013) to speed up casting to my TV. This works great for streaming YouTube TV. When not streaming TV, it is a great way to display your favorite photos from Google Photo (or lots of other options) through Google Home.

We love this little piece of tech. We have one for each tv and I really wish they had come out with these a long time ago. So simple to use. Plug in and go! We cast just about everything. You literally don't have much to do. Sweeping a floor takes more energy then using this product! Love it!

This has been a fun addition to my older (not smart) TV. Not only does it handle casting from Android devices it also handles Windows casting (via Goodle Chrome) better than the TV's that have it built in.

I bought 2 of these. One for each room i watch tv in and they work very well. I leave them plugged in 24/7. This way all i have to do os switch on the mobile device which is very easy to do. It doesnt prohibit me from plugging another hdmi cable right next to it, which was one of my problems with the first version.

I bought the Chromecast because that was the only way to cast from my Pixel to a TV. It does work great, but that is the only time I use it instead of the Roku. IMHO, Google Home is a pain to use. When I had to change the network for the Chromcast, I had to factory reset the Chromecast to complete the wifi config.

I purchased 2 Chrome casts for our older smart TV’s as we can’t get newer apps on them. BEST THING EVER. Now we have tv access to Disney Plus and HBO Now, instead of having to huddle around a tablet or watch from our phones. So east to hook up as well!

By using the Google Chromecast device, I am able to use different media options to watch shows. It is easy to install, and allows you to use different TVs throughout the house. You are able to also control it with different devices such as your smart phone or tablets. It is an great addition to your home media.

I have a 59” tv that is not smart but it’s 3D. I bought it like 5 years ago. It’s a good screen but I couldn’t enjoy Netflix or YouTube. So this small chromecast changed its life now it feels like brand new and it’s easy to use. Even my mom who is not very friendly either technology can use it perfectly.

The chromecast worked really good and fast. Installation was very easy.

You can you a cellphone, tablet, iPad or any device that allow you to scream to the chrom cast. The chrom cast is a good dive and really easy to set up. You can unplug this dive and relocate it easily in you home if needed. Overall this is a great device!

Bought it for work - pretty good, the Ultra is far superior in quality and speed.

Got this for my uncle, as he had Netflix on his phone, but not his TV... Best gift ever, like a kid on Christmas, I set it up for him, and showed him how to use it, and he moves it in between rooms to watch his shows.

I bought this to replace several of my devices that would no longer support the major streaming services. Also, I had the original sine the original launch date and has severed me well. I take the old with me to stream from my computer and tablet. I like this new one and was easy to set up.

We have found that a good number of our streaming apps are not available on our older devices. Rather than updating a ton of expensive equipment, we can plug this in and stream the apps from our phones. So for its worked really well and we haven't found an app that didn't work.

I have a old dumb TV. Adding this is a great alternative to buying a new smart TV. TV works great, it’s just dumb. Now I can stream live TV from my iPhone apps and watch streaming movies. Plugged it in my HDMI port and available USB port in my TV and easy set up via Google app.

I wish it had apps, you can get a fire TV stick for the same price and also do casting with that plus have apps on it. HOWEVER, certain casting options only find my Chromecast, and not any other casting devices like my smart TV or my fire TV stick, so the chromecast definitely comes in clutch at times and is a great backup
