Customers are impressed with the Chromecast's ease of use, streaming capabilities, and picture quality. Many appreciate its affordability and the ability to transform a standard TV into a smart TV. However, some users experienced connectivity issues, and the lack of a physical remote control was a common point of feedback. The small size and generally positive performance were also frequently noted.

I was surprised by how easy it was to install and use the Chromecast. It worked well with my desktop PC that was on the same WiFi as my phone and PS4. It is very easy to cast any tab from Chrome. I would definitely say for the money, this is the best product out there.

This works so well I purchased one as a gift for my mom. However, I also have the google speaker, which I let’s me to play/control the content with my voice. Very easy to cast from my phone to the chrome cast as well. I use an iPhone, but it’s thrice as good with an galaxy phone.

Chromecast means CAST!

Chromecast works well for casting from a phone, Chromebook or other device to a TV, but that is all it does. There are no apps you can install on the Chromecast. It is strictly dependent on the device linked to it for content. This was not clearly stated in the ads and posts I read about the product, so I returned it after discovering for myself.

I just upgraded from my original Chromecast. It does seem a little faster all and all works about the same I am still using the 1st Gen on my bedroom TV. Love the device huge fan of using my phone as a remote and it works well on both Android and iPhone. Makes my TV a smart TV :)

I was surprised in how easy it was to set up and use.
As advertised; however, I didn't like the fact that the user interface was on my smartphone rather than the TV. It does allow two smartphones to view the interface, but the TV screen view would be better. Therefore, I replace the Chromecast with the Roku Express, which works fine and costs less.

I had a cheap basic TV and it was impossible to stream unless I hooked a million wires and used a bulky device. I went out on a search and found the chrome cast and I'm very pleased with the quality and the streaming capabilities. Also like using my phone to control everything.

The Google Chromecast is perfect for streaming media to my TV. Yo just have to do inicial setup of connecting your chromecast to the google home app and thats. To stream is merely just tapping the "cast" button on any application and done! Great product for the money.

Upgraded my first generation Chrome Cast to this. So glad I did! Doesn't have that bright annoying light as the first generation one did, so I don't have to go unplug it when I'm trying to go to sleep at night. It's easy to connect and I don't have any lag.

Nice streaming device... not great at explaining how it works. It just works. Cast from your phone or home device and it just works. Would like a remote function within the google home app or something to stroll apps with instead of having to download all the apps that are being used.

I got this as a gift for my Dad who is constantly watching ESPN or whatever else on his phone apps instead of the TV. I got this for him so he could see the bigger picture LOL. He loves it. Easy to connect and use. Definitely a good purchase.

I purchased this product for my mother in law and it was an easy set up, even for an iPhone user. This allows her to cast items from her phone to her tv! Welcome to the future! Be sure to have WiFi before purchasing.

So far I am enjoying this product. I previously returned it to replace a defective one that kept freezing up, losing sound and stopping on me right in the middle of a movie.I bought it to experience mirroring apps from my phone to my older model 2012 smart tv.

Great little add on to any TV. I had an old TV that I just didn't feel like running wires to so this took care of that. Now the wife can stream Netflix and other movies right from her phone and I didn't have to climb threw the attic.

This works great for the majority of what we wish to view on our television. Our old Chromecast also made it easy to send any page I was viewing on my computer to the television (like a Google spreadsheet). I have not yet figured out how to do that with this device or if it is possible.

device had good functionality but the google portion is inconvenient. No remote so it requires an app download to operate (hate having a million apps) and then it was difficult to sync to hbomax / other streaming apps (the only reason I bought it). Ended up returning it. Be sure to research your needs/wants before purchasing this.

A little difficult for me to set up, though that might be because I've been around since TVs were the size of refrigerators with 10 inch B&W screens. My son set it up for me easily and it works great for sending what's on my phone to the TV.

My phone plan lets me have HBO Max for no additional charge; however, I have a Roku tv, which still doesn’t have the app for it. I was bummed about that, but I’ve had a Chromecast before (lost it in my last move) and figured that would do what I needed.
I love that I can plug the usb power cord into my tv so I don’t have to have another plug to worry about.
I love that I can just connect to it and press play and it goes until I stop it. I haven’t had any issues with the Cromecast freezing or losing signal, which is more than I can say for my tv. I use this for all of my casting needs. YouTube, Peacock (when that one came out and also didn’t have an app), and HBO Max.
I’ve been suggesting other people purchase it as well, when they complain about their tv not having an app for something. So obviously, I would recommend it.

I bought this because my mom wanted to play YouTube videos on a tv. This did a great job turning a regular tv into a smart tv that is controllable from your phone. If you don’t like using the remote to type searches. Using ur phone as the remote works great.

I have several Chromecasts; I bought this one to make presentations easier in our office (we have a big TV but no dedicated presentation setup). Setup only takes a few moments - install the app on your phone, and it steps you through getting all of your Google devices configured; if you only have one, the whole process can take less than five minutes.
On your computer, there's (probably) nothing to install - if you've got Chrome, you're already set up. Just click the three-dot/"hamburger" menu and select "Cast..."; you'll see a list of available Chromecast devices - choose one and you're on. When you're not casting, the Chromecast will show a slideshow of photos, which are nearly all stunning. (If I have one complaint, it's that the photos don't have captions!)
I highly recommend this product for any office; it's pretty good for home entertainment too.
