Prior to purchasing I reviewed the operation of this device, but wasn't quite sure. I asked the associate in the department and he offered advise that contradicted how I thought it operated. In short, we were casting to a 2016 Samsung TV from Samsung phones and tablet. The video/streaming wouldn't play straight through and would pause or stall. This is the issue with prior to 2017 TV versions. With my research I found we would still have to use the phone/tablet, however the associate said no we wouldn't need too. Also I asked if it would work with Discovery + and he said yes it has over 2000 apps which isn't true. The device is only used to cast to the TV opposed to other options such as smartview. When using the device, no issues with playing videos/streaming

A little difficult for me to set up, though that might be because I've been around since TVs were the size of refrigerators with 10 inch B&W screens. My son set it up for me easily and it works great for sending what's on my phone to the TV.

I bought this mainly to cast my computer screen to my TV. It works perfectly to do so and I have had no issues. It allows me to cast any player that can only work on a web browser to my TV and does not have a corresponding TV app

My phone plan lets me have HBO Max for no additional charge; however, I have a Roku tv, which still doesn’t have the app for it. I was bummed about that, but I’ve had a Chromecast before (lost it in my last move) and figured that would do what I needed. I love that I can plug the usb power cord into my tv so I don’t have to have another plug to worry about. I love that I can just connect to it and press play and it goes until I stop it. I haven’t had any issues with the Cromecast freezing or losing signal, which is more than I can say for my tv. I use this for all of my casting needs. YouTube, Peacock (when that one came out and also didn’t have an app), and HBO Max. I’ve been suggesting other people purchase it as well, when they complain about their tv not having an app for something. So obviously, I would recommend it.

Love this Google chrome cast. So easy to use and install. This is my second one I got. One in my room and other one in my daughter bedroom. Would highly recommend it.

I purchased this product for my mother in law and it was an easy set up, even for an iPhone user. This allows her to cast items from her phone to her tv! Welcome to the future! Be sure to have WiFi before purchasing.

I have several Chromecasts; I bought this one to make presentations easier in our office (we have a big TV but no dedicated presentation setup). Setup only takes a few moments - install the app on your phone, and it steps you through getting all of your Google devices configured; if you only have one, the whole process can take less than five minutes. On your computer, there's (probably) nothing to install - if you've got Chrome, you're already set up. Just click the three-dot/"hamburger" menu and select "Cast..."; you'll see a list of available Chromecast devices - choose one and you're on. When you're not casting, the Chromecast will show a slideshow of photos, which are nearly all stunning. (If I have one complaint, it's that the photos don't have captions!) I highly recommend this product for any office; it's pretty good for home entertainment too.

I bought this because my mom wanted to play YouTube videos on a tv. This did a great job turning a regular tv into a smart tv that is controllable from your phone. If you don’t like using the remote to type searches. Using ur phone as the remote works great.

I love my Chromecast! HD comes through in HD with no loss of quality. I can take it on vacation and use on the TV in hotels and vacation rentals. A subscription to YouTube TV and a Chromecast is all I need other than internet access.

Goodbye cable - Hello streaming. After receiving a HUGE fios bill we decided to cut the cord. We only watched a few channels anyway, so we decided to use Chrome Cast and a few other services and we could not be happier with the results.

I didn't know why I would need this when I have a smart t.v. I can say that it has improved my streaming experience, my t.v. is a little older and would buffer from time to time, now that I use the chrome cast, no buffering, and picture quality.

This was a great purchase for our business. We are able to cast webinars from our computers to the TV for everyone to see. It has been a game changer. Super easy to set up as well.

Chromecast has many different streaming apps and also is a great device for screen mirroring from mobile devices to the television and it is the only streaming device thats compatible with the spectrum tv app

New what I wanted. The local store had it in stock. Went out and got it. Brought it home and hooked it up. Easy to use. All is good. I've been a happy Best Buy customer for years and also a total tech support subscriber.

I love this! It makes my life so much easier for myself and family. We don’t have cable in our family room. We just watch videos , movies in youtube or other sites as well since most of the tome we are all out. But at night we all watch stuff together.

This is an inexpensive and pretty easy way to cast google movies, google tv shows, and youtube videos to your home tv screen. Instead of viewing on a small phone or tablet, you and your family or friends can now easily see them on your much larger tv screen.

This is so easy to set up even a 5th grader can do it! In less than a few minutes I was able to watch my fav movies on my big screen tv. I will buy another one for my bedroom tv. Price was awesome since I was able to use my BestBuy points.

Very easy to set up, purchased this to go along with my Oculus Quest 2 so that I could cast to my TV. Definitely makes for a better gaming experience when you are playing with others, so they can see what you are viewing.

This is the first streaming device my wife and I have tried, and I wish we had done it sooner. Very easy to set up, very easy to use, and it opened a world of content and hours of entertainment. Highly recommend.

We were having such a hard time mirroring our phones to our tv after buying all these cables and downloading a bunch of apps I did my research and Found out of this . So easy to use ! And it works great ! I wish I would’ve have heard about it sooner
