The chromecast is a great way to make any old TV "smart"! Youtube, Netflix, you name it you can watch it on your TV now without the hassle of wires. I find the experience of casting from mobile devices the smoothest (just use the apps of whatever streaming service you want), but with the full Chrome browser, you can cast any web page (getting around some annoyances, like no official Amazon Prime Video support). All-in-all, it's an inexpensive way to pump new life into an older/cheaper TV.

Plugs into HDMI port in TV. Allows you to stream from your phone or tablet. Easy, no hassle. Highly recommend.

Easier set up with droid phones. User friendly for family

My TV works and I'm happy with the picture quality. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the option to update to include current, popular apps. After looking at buying a new TV, and being concerned about the cost vs quality of today's models, I decided to go with the Chromecast. I like that I can push from my phone or tablet. It was easy to set up and much cheaper than a new TV.

This is a must-have for those without a smart TV. I appreciate its simple design. It works well and rarely, if ever stutters, unlike my previous other "smart TV" devices. I really like that you use your phone/tablet/PC as a feature-rich interface for your TV. If you have a lot of streaming services, this is a great item to have. I prefer using my Chromecast over the stock smart-apps built into my TV. Besides, you can't beat the price!

I bought this lil' bundle of joy for one purpose only, to stream my game contact from my Oculus Quest( if you dont know bout this....find out!) to my t.v. Works perfectly as intended! I ended up using it for more than just virtual reality streaming. I love the setup and operations app....it allows you to have a universal remote fROM your phone. If you are getting a Oculus Quest(available here at Best Buy) THIS IS A MUST HAVE ACCESSORY FOR A MUST HAVE BLEEDING EDGE VR UNIT.

This unit offers really outstanding value for the money, delivers excellent performance, super easy to set-up, all in a tiny form factor that uses no shelf space. About the only negative (for some folks) is the lack of support for Amazon Prime video streaming, really the only shortcoming but not a deal breaker considering everything else on offer here at the $35 price tag. Highly recommended.

The Chromecast was easy to set up with the help of a YouTube video. Easy to use, once I got the hang of it. Using my phone as the remote usually requires that I have it on the charger and it's a little distracting seeing the video out of the corner of my eye. I have had 2 different fire sticks that stopped working and thought I would try the Chromecast. It was a good value on sale for around $19.00. So far so good.

Chromecast was easy to install and works great. You can control everything from your phone. there are certain applications and streaming sites that you need a device like chromecast to get. I can hook it up to an older tv in the shop and stream movies from different applications even though the tv is not a smart tv. So I think this is a dependable asset to my enjoyment of watching movies.

Very hand for streaming and using as a screen saver for a digital photo device.

I bought my first Chromecast in 2013 with the 1st Gen, to move on from using my Xbox 360 as a streaming device. It is super simple to setup, super simple to use, and platform (Android or iOS) agnostic. I upgraded to the newest gen as the 1st Gen is slowing down after 6 years of use. I expect this one to last a while until there is a cheaper/more mature 4k alternative (the current Chromecast Ultra seems a little too premature and will be outdated quicker IMO).

This little thing is so convenient and easy to use. All you need to do is plug it into your tv, download the app, and then once you have followed through the short process of syncing everything you can start watching. You can cast youtube, Netflix, or any streaming service with the Google Chromecast regardless if you're using a phone, tablet, or computer. On top of that, you can move the Chromecast to any tv you like.

I love my chrome cast! It’s so easy to use and set up!!! I have no regret in purshasing this! It’s awesome for anyone who doesn’t want to watch regular cable channels anymore. If you’re like me, you’ll enjoy the easy to use features with your apps on your mobile devices. I love how easy it is to connect to my pc monitors. I also like how small it is and that it doesn’t take much space at all along the wires of my speaker, monitors and other pc cables that are around.
