I absolutely love Chromecast. I gave it a try about two years ago. It has changed my TV viewing completely. Now I have a Chromecast on every screen in the house. This model was an upgrade for my newest TV for the kitchen. We are able to watch Netflix, YouTube, or Hulu on any screen and each family member can make their own choice of what to watch, when and where. It is wonderful!

This is as simple as it gets. Just set it up to your internet WiFi and a couple of set up questions and your all done. Haven't really had any problems with casting. Please keep in mind that you are not able to use your headphones for casting, the sound will go into your television. So if you had in mind to purchase this item and be able to stream while keeping the noise down, well you wont be able to do this. FYI. That's the only reason why I am giving this 4 stars.

I have an older Samsung TV and I bought this to turn it into a smart TV since it's cheaper then buying a new TV. It though I wouldnhave some problems since my Samsung TV isn't meant to be a smart TV but no, no problems at all! I really really like this. I have had zero problems unlike the apple tv or Amazon fire stick. This is the best option to go with!

I am very happy with this device and its broad compatibility with multiple models and multiple models of televisions. Easy and convenient to set up with very comprehensive tutorials and help guides. It was very helpful when I needed to reboot my device due to a router password change and using it on a different television.

Easy Setup, Love the feature of being able to cast from any device IE: Phone, Tablet, Laptop. Great Features for a decent price. We bring ours even when we go on Vacation so we can cast anything we want to watch, even if the place we vacation to has nothing we really want to watch we can choose whatever we want to watch just by casting from our device. Love the Chromecast!!

I have purchased several of the Chromecast devices. They are easy to install and work just as well for business applications or the home. It makes a wireless connection to any TV with an HDMI port available, open Google Chrome and select cast from the dropdown menu and find your device you named during installation. Cast an application or your entire desktop.

Makes watching movies in the living room quite simple. On the negative side, the Chromecast doesn't show on my phone 100% of the time even though it is connected to the home wifi. Anyway, it works almost all the time and does a fantastic job when it does so I didn't take stars from it. This is my 3rd chromecast, and I bought one more to share with the family.

This is the 3rd Chromecast, and 4th overall, I have personally used or own. Bought the 1st Gen stick until signing up with YouTube TV for this 2nd Gen. It's easy to set up through the Google Home app, and instantly gives you access to everything from streaming tv shows and videos to photos and music. It updates automatically as long as the unit has power or tv is turned on. Bought this specific unit for my family who's only used Roku and regular DVR. Does take some time to realize there's no on-screen menu with all the apps listed but it's more minimalist. Your phone is also your controller, which some may not like, but works across all devices including laptops. I'd suggest testing before any decision whether strictly using your own device to control, or having a dedicated controller, is for you.

Cons: wish it didn’t have to be on the same WiFi network as your phone to be able to stream . I bought this, because sadly, my A/V Receiver only Supports Audio over Chromecast/AirPlay. As I needed it for an app that only supported the former, I picked this up. It does a great job of streaming from our phones/tablet without a hitch, and setup was a breeze. I just have to knock a star off because using Google Home to view available apps for Chromecast was a bit confusing, but as I already have pretty much all the apps I need on other devices, it wasn’t a big deal for me.

Replacement for unit that stopped connecting. Works fine so far.

It’s works good with my Apple product or in general for anyone in my house with all types of phones. It’s easy to use and set up. Mirroring will require an app for iPhones , but it’s much cheaper than the Apple TV and it works perfectly for when you take your mini projector with the Chromecast and make a hot spot for a movie date.
