There are so many things to like about this thermostat. Excellent design and build quality, operationally vastly superior to anything else in it's class. This has been, without a doubt, one of the best purchases I have made for the home. Easy installation and wonderful software to sync with on your Android device/s. The best thing overall is - it just works (and looks great doing it). I got this Geek Squad refurbished for a great price and it was practically brand new.

There is a known fault in some of the Nest Learning Thermostats that there was a run of units that had faulty WiFi chips in them. Google is well aware of them and will replace when you ask (as they did for me because one of the two I bought from BB had the faulty WiFi chip in it and lost connectivity after about 6 months...) The thermostat's themselves are great! I have them in two different homes and they work well.

My initial Nest unit stopped working - actually had a furnace tech come out cause I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't turn on, it took him an hour of troubleshooting to figure it out. So my new one was not great - but this refurb has worked great and longer than the initial unit, so happy with it. Was a little concerned since it was a refurb, but no problems so far.

My first one was defective or something it was hard to enjoy the benefits It kept wanting to recharge...as soon as I got the new one it was amazing Haven't had any issues I can preset it and manage thru my phone. I also put a pin lock on it so those who don't pay my bill can't touch my thermostat :)

works like new. When I first received the package. I thought something was broken but when opened the box, the screws provided were not in a plastic bag and were rattling loose in the box. Otherwise it was like it was never opened. Installation was easy and straightforward

We bought two of these. One works great. The other has cost us a lot of time and money trying to troubleshoot. After a visit from an electrician, a couple cold nights with no heat, and many hours reading help articles, we have finally realized we need a new unit. We don’t have a way to return the defective unit, but we will be more cautious buying open box in the future. The units battery couldn’t hold a charge, so it died after a couple days, requiring a charge from a wall charger. We had voltage checked by electrician and he confirmed we shouldn’t need c-wire. Who knows, hopefully next unit works better so we can start saving money on heat rather than throwing money away!

This device makes controlling the temperature in my home so convenient. After it learns your preferences, your home will always be at the right temperature. Being able to control it via the app is also a great convenience.

Bought this refurbished unit to replace my mom's old thermostat. It looked as good as new and was easy to install.

So far, the quality is good and help me to monitor temperature. I really like to ECO mode which automatically turns off when I am away.

Works exactly as expected. Installation was not as difficult as I thought it would be. I plan on expanding it's capabilities by purchasing additional thermometers so the system can better relate the temperature throughout the house

It took some time to get the wiring figured out for this thermostat but it was worth it. It says in the product description that it is a Learning thermostat. It has learned and continues to learn the way I like it in the house and adjusts it automatically. For a while I have not had to touch the thermostat and kind of forget that it's there which is one less thing that I have to worry about.

Product works as if it is new out of the box so far. The only issue with installation was that the last owner had the language set to Spanish, and it wasn't reset when it got to me, so the installer had to play with it to get it back to English. Otherwise, there has been no other issues. Product instantly connects with my heater and AC, and I love the Eco mode setting.
