    This nest is great. We have three around our offices. I love the learning features. The refurbished model works seamlessly just like the brand new ones.

    Moved to a new place and decided to leave my gen 1 nest with the old house. Got this new 3rd gen because I love my 1st gen so much. I love that the nest thermostat learns and memorize my temperature preferences. After using for a month, you won’t even notice that there’s a thermostat in your house. Installation takes minutes. Love my nest

    Good thermostats buy them new. I do not reccommend buying refurbished seems to be some questionable refurbishment processes in play. I bought 2 as a gift for my parents and one arrived with dead wifi. It was an absolute hours long nightmare to get a refund for.

    Not so good couldn’t control it with the Wi-Fi would recommend the new one to avoid any hassles

    I would not buy a "refurbished" Next Thermostat

    I made the mistake of attempting to buy a refurbished model after owning 3 new Nest Thermostats. After purchase and set up, I could not get the nest to recognize any Wifi networks. I started to do some research and realized that is an issue w/ 3rd gen Nests. If you purchased it new Nest will replace it straight away. Well, obviously they sell them after receiving the returns. The companies that buy them assure you the complete multiple level check. Confirming recognition of wifi networks is not one of them. Thankfully Best Buy (bought from them online) took the return and applied what I spent on a new one. Installed the new one and it works like a champ

    One broken AC later….

    Right after the return period ended it quit being able to read all my wires. My AC man said to avoid Google thermostats as 90% of his issues are with them. He recommends Ecobee. I am very sad I wasted my money on this product…

    Nest Thermostat - Certified Reburb NOT RECOMMENDED

    So, out of the gate this thermostat's Wi-Fi didn't work and still doesn't work. Certified refurb product that was still broken from day one of my purchase. I wanted to exchange but best buy told me on the phone I had to return it first and then order another. I thought that was dumb because I couldn't remove it cause then I would be without heat or AC... I ended up just living with it not being able to use the Wi-Fi functionality. Well, just recently, the thermostat broke... Started flashing a red light and wouldn't turn on. This same problem happened with a friend of mine with his Nest. For the price point, I feel like this should be bulletproof. I DO NOT recommend a nest. It's not worth the cost and it will just break anyway. I'm also disappointed with how Best Buy handled this in the first place.

      The Nest Learning Thermostat changes its temperature automatically due to some factors like schedule, learned habits (auto schedule), and Home/Away Assist which makes your thermostat go to ECO mode. You have an option to use it as a traditional programmable thermostat, and you can manually set the temperature and create your schedules for the thermostat to follow. You can turn off the Auto Schedule feature, disable the Home/Assist, and clear the existing schedules by selecting Settings > Reset > Schedule > Reset again.     Missing menu and label in the box

    When I unboxed it the first time, the menu and label (for wiring) were missing in the box. During the installation, you cannot use Google Home but Nest own app -- which keeps telling me I cannot open the Google login URL on my Andriod phone (ridiculous!). Anyway, I am still trying to set up the thermostats. If I fails, I will return it.

      - Heating: 1, 2, and 3 stages (W1, W2, W3)
      - Cooling: 1 and 2 stages (Y1, Y2)
      - Heat pump: with auxiliary and emergency heat (O/B, AUX, E)
      - Humidifier or dehumidifier (HUM, DEHUM)
      - Fan 1, 2, and 3 speeds (G/G1, G2, G3)

    Was not have with the refurbished nest as it would not connect to the wifi . But i have to say Bestbuy did make it easy to return the item back at the store.

    Very good thermostat. I like the ability to change the temperature without having to walk to it or even if I'm not at home. The thermostat learns our preferred temps and changes to what we would want at those times.
