The quality of the body of the camera itself is great, through rain and scorching sun it has held up. The cameras have caught several incidents; crashes, vandalism, etc. The cameras have been used for reports to law enforcement as well. 1080p is perfect. The subscription is also a must-do as nest does provide a fair rate for a decent amount of storage space.

The outdoor Nest Cam works better then I thought it would, especially in the dark. My only complaint is the cost of monitoring by Nest.

We just bought these and to be honest, set up was a bit more complicated than expected if you are trying to run the cord from outside to inside but it was definitely worth it. The speaker and microphone features are awesome and the video clarity is amazing. Yes you do need to pay a fee to access footage from the past 10 days or past 30 days but it's a small price to pay in my opinion for the peace of mind you get with having this camera.

I decided to get these cameras for indoor use. The magnetic mount allows attaching the camera directly to a metal surface and then rotate and position very easily. For exterior installations, I find the cord is really hard to hide, or to make look good. The NEST mobile phone software is the best. The app has smooth scrolling of the continuous 24/7 video footage.

These camera's are nice to have. To use all of the features a subscription is needed.

Subscription is pretty much a must. Great video quality. Uses a lot of bandwidth. Doesn’t matter if it’s a vacation home

Great security cameras but even better when you combine them with a Nest Aware monthly or annual subscription. Got these because we've had several instances of theft in my neighborhood. These send timely notifications to my phone and include very easy to see screen captures of what was happening. The notifications can easily be customized to fit your needs.

Please be sure that you have the adequate amount of download and upload speed and that the router signal is not far because if it is, prepare to not be able to watch the cam feed or connect to the internet for that fact. I had to take an old E3000 and connect it to the new router via long AF cable through the most ungodly of places, in order to get the camera to recognize the network as one and connect.
