Great camera, hate the paid subscription
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These camera's work great. I have one on the front of my house and one on the back. The visibility is fantastic and the cam quality is good. Installation and configuring them was easy and quick. My only complaint is the paid subscription to have history. You have to pay $10 for the first cam and $5 each additional cam. At this pricepoint, I think 10 days of recording should automatically be included with the price of the cam, OR I think the camera's should be cheaper to offset the monthly cost.

So nice being to see what is going on when I’m not home. I have these inside and added this camera outside. Looking at getting more.

Great Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great camera for monitoring or security. Sends notification of activity vs seeing “someone”. Very easy to install and works great. There is a few seconds lag but that’s to be expected in any camera

Great cameras, nice picture and easily adjustable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great cameras, nice picture and easily adjustable. I like the day time vidoes, very clear. Night time pics are pretty good also. I like the cameras compared to other for adjusting to meet view vantage points.

Good quality camera, has a few flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Good: - Great video quality - Very cool DVR-type interface - Solid build quality - People detection with a sub to nest aware (The only reason I kept this camera) - Setup was a breeze The Bad: - The cord and camera are soft white in color, therefore get dirty quite fast - The web interface requires Adobe Flashplayer (WTF? heard of HTML5??) - The cost! At $200, and at least $10/mo to get usage out of it! - The Nest app will nag you until you subscribe to nest aware - Actual installation is a pain. If you don't have a power outlet nearby, you either need to run an extension cord, or drill a 7/8" hole in a wall just to fit the massive plug through. They could definately use to simplify the power options. Having a brick home and drilling a 7/8" hole took quite a bit of effort. - The zone detection gets triggered way too easily (birds, cats, wind blowing tree shadows, just no better than any other camera with motion detection

Awesome cameras, easy set-up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These cameras are great. I did a lot of research when looking for surveillance cameras and a baby camera before purchasing. These cameras meet all my needs. The clarity is great with great field of vision as well. The audio is phenomenal. I can hear my neighbor talking next door when he is on his front porch. The only downfall of the cameras are they are expensive for the monthly fees to have 10 days of history. They charge you for every camera monthly. It is cheaper for additional cameras. But the initial one is I think 10 dollars a month. Overall great cameras.

Excellent Camera System
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are a must have for anyone serious about home security. Plenty of products are available in the marketplace, but either they require changing or recharging of the batteries. Having a wired connection and intuitive user interface in the app makes these cameras a no-brainer. Even adding the cameras to the system during setup is easy. Only downside is that these are a little pricey, but I caught them on-sale at best buy.

Great Camera, east setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a great camera. Setup was easy, and picture quality is great. It integrates well with all of your other Nest products like thermostat and alarm system. My only real gripes are that you have to pay for cloud storage, and that you have to pay for each individual camera. Needless to say, if you have several cameras, the cost can add up quickly. Also, and this is a small gripe, but I would've preferred if it also had a battery backup. I would like the peace of mind that even if someone cuts the power cord that it is still capturing footage.

Super easy to install and operate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give it a 5 star as it has great picture quality and is easy to install and work with, the only problem is it sends you messages constantly for every bug, leaf etc that goes by saying "camera detects motion". It needs a sensitivity setting

Clear video, great app. but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Nest Thermostat and 2 Nest Protects, so I know that Nest makes quality devices. The Nest Outdoor Camera is the same thing. Easy to configure, easy to install, powerful 1080p video, it's a winner. However, there's two issues here. First, the camera is pretty expensive, but everything Nest makes is. More importantly, the cloud video services are VERY expensive, and to get the full feature set you have to subscribe. Still, it's a great device, and I'd recommend it.

Solid Picture and Simple App
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these cameras to replace my arlo wireless cameras. I didn’t want to change batteries all the time. I took the time wiring them to make it look semi professional. It was easy to do. The settings on the app make it easy to reduce unnecessary notifications and it’s easy to see real time from anywhere I’m at. Overall great quality and it’s a steal when you catch them on sale.

Love these cameras
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I owned 2 and just bought 2 more. They are easy to put up. Easy to connect to my network. Great image quality. I love the online storage. An extra cost but, worth it. Quality product!!

Very easy to set up, good quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality product that is super easy to set up. Quality of the picture is good and gives us piece of mind while we are away. My only negative is the Nest charges $10/month so you can view history and clips from alerts that you get after 30 days of it being free. That adds up to $120/year, which is pretty much a ripoff considering how cheap cloud storage is.

Great Video With Many Features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried two cameras from another vendor before Nest -- the differences are significant. The resolution is better, the setup is easier, and it is easier to use. I have two Nest cameras, one wired and completely outdoors, the other wireless with camera outdoors with the power cable snaked to the indoors. I also subscribed to the 10-day Nest Aware so I get notifications of activity for the two cameras. The interface to the video stream is lovely and intuitive. On a tablet, you can scroll through the any of the days looking for activity as well as select any of the notifications, all of which are clearly interspersed vertically along a timeline. Touching a notification starts the video stream a few seconds before the event. Recently, we went to Scotland and had perfect access to the entire stream anywhere there was WiFi. You can even talk to the person in earshot of the camera. Way cool!

Amazing Camera and Software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, the camera is amazingly simple to setup. Literally plug in, find your wifi, and hang on the wall. Boom - Done! The image is amazing! Its crystal clear. You can get notified when it sees activity or when it sees a person (and yes, it knows the difference between activity - aka squirrel - or a person - aka mailman). It comes with a feature where you can speak through the camera to the person on the other side. Worth the subscription!

I love Google Nest Products
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the high quality video of these cameras and the easy of use to set up was easy. The initial install process was very quick too. The many features which are included are excellent the list is very long and to have Google nest privacy makes this a great purchase choice. All Google nest cameras have a free 30 days trial include on each camera you install.

Best outside camera for quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 3 Nest outside cameras and they all work great. The video quality is excellent and the night vision is superior. The only drawback for the Nest Outdoor camera is the need to be plugged in for power. This limits where they can be placed. I use another brand of camera where total wireless is needed and the video and night vision are not as good. I would give Nest 4.5* with the only detractor the limit on location

Great Cam
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It just as good as the indoor Nest Cam. The picture quality is great. I have it mounted over my garage and I can see clear across the cul-de-sac. Night vision is about 20ft but if there is a light source in the area it be further. Setup is the same as the Nest Cam which is real easy. It comes with a 25ft power cord. Definitely would recommend this camera.

Added security feels awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super easy to set-up and now we have that extra comfort knowing we can see easily outside our home. Video quality is great! Highly recommend unless you're going for Google Nest's newest model with the batteries. I didn't want to have to change my batteries so I went with the hard connected wire instead.
