The sensor may not be a fit for everyone. If you want the temperature in your home to be gauged from where your Nest is, then this item is not necessary. However, our hallway is always a little warmer than the rooms in the house, so the sensor allowed us to tell the Nest to register the temperature in a different room as the target temperature for the house. It has worked great for us.

It’s a great addition to your nest thermostat. You definitely need a thermostat in each room, because every room has a different temperature depending on the position north south east west of the house. The houses that are facing the sun tend to be warmer, so you need to regulate the temperature according to that room.

I have a 3 story house. One sensor in the basement and one sensor upstairs. They are great to set the temp off of, depending on the time of year and if company is visiting or not.

This product is amazing. Now I have a control in my whole house. Before my master bedroom was always hot and I had to buy a fan for the room because the thermostat was in the dining room in the first floor and the thermostat wouldn't be able to measure the temperature in my master was hotter than the setting I had. Now I can set the sensors so the thermostat know exactly the temperature in my masterbedroom. Now my master is cold as well as the rest house.

We live in an older home and prefer to leave some doors closed to keep pets out, and the combination provides for uneven heating. Placing this in the room most used, paired with the Nest thermostat in a different room, has greatly improved the comfort in the house. You can further improve comfort and/or efficiency by setting up a schedule for sensor use vs. thermostat use.

I have had two Nest thermostats in my home for a few years now. While they worked well we had specific parts of the home that varied greatly in temperature. By setting up the extra sensors we can now monitor each area individually and adjust as needed. I took one star off for 2 reasons. The first is cost. The second is that you cannot setup your own schedules for when to monitor a specific sensor but instead have to choose from one of their predetermined timeframes.

I wish I had bought these sooner. I love the ability to prioritize rooms based on the time of day. Despite a relatively small condo, our room's temperatures vary quite a bit. This has made our home much more comfortable.

Really easy to set up and set the schedules so one room doesn't get too hot (or cold, probably)

Work exactly as described. Now my bedroom is set at a steady temperature and now I get some quality sleep. Highly recommend for those who has a room that gets colder or hotter than the others.

Works as described in the website. I don't give it 5 stars because of the price, feels like it should be less expensive.

We were having trouble getting a room adjusted with the a/c in the summer and the heat in the colder weather. This room just was either so hot in the summer or too cold in the colder weather. We purchased one of the Google-Nest Temperature Sensors to work with the new Nest. It has helped us figure out how to adjust the temperature at the Nest to accommodate the troublesome room.

Simple to setup and easy to manage through the app. Basically a simple way to move your thermostat.

Our bedroom is upstairs, and has three external walls. At night, it gets really cold because the thermostat is downstairs in the middle of the house. So, I put this is the bedroom, and program the system to only use it at night and set the desired temperature. Works flawlessly. Then, the next day, the system switches to using the downstairs thermostat in the morning. Easy to setup. Completely wireless. I'm very happy with this product.

If you have a Nest Thermostat these are a great little addition I discovered after I already purchased and install the unit. These handy little sensors will adjust the temperature based on the sensors as opposed to just where you have your thermostat. This is great if you move about different places in your home throughout the day. Look forward to tinkering with these units more.

This temperature sensor seems to be something that should be easy to sync with the thermostat, but it took multiple tries. Tried multiple locations, literally had it right next to the thermostat, and it wouldn't connect. I read a tip online, and ended up removing the battery for a minute before putting it back in (reset). Had it placed next to the thermostat again and finally connected. I then proceeded to move the unit upstairs (thermostat downstairs) and everything worked flawlessly from that point on.

Was easy to setup with my nest thermostat and the temperature reading was quite good. Wish Nest will update the firmware to improve control of the device

Great little sensor that helps keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Fairly accurate as well.

Very easy set up. Get the exact temp in any room. Can set certain times for which sensor to go off of.

I bought this because my upstairs thermostat sits right behind the TV in my bedroom. We'd have it set at 72 and it would be freezing upstairs. Got this sensor and put it in the hall way and checked out my nest thermostat temps on the app. The sensor was reading 72 while the thermostat was showing 80 because of the TV heat. I can only imagine it was cooling the upstairs to about 60 degrees because of that.

Love these temperature sensors with my Nest thermostat, allows me to adjust my Heat/AC to a specific sensor, without needing additional equipment. I keep mine adjusted to my children’s room, as our 1970s house doesn’t have a balanced heat/cooling dispersal.
