I've only had this phone in hand for a week, but so far it's exceeded my expectations. It's a little too wide for my hand, but bought a couple of different cases to put a Pop Socket on and then bought a Loopy Case, which makes holding and using the phone way easier. The camera is AMAZING and it was really simple to transfer my folders, apps, etc from my old Samsung Galaxy.

Pure Android is the only way to go, this is the second Google phone I've owned, the first being the Nexus 6P and this is a significant upgrade in every way possible. Processor is much faster, the camera amazing and I will never buy another phone without a finger print scanner on the back, best feature ever. I have not experienced any burn in issues, the compass is much improved over the Nexus 6P which was quite the issue for me. I've not really used the Google assistant features yet nor the squeeze thing, but it's there. Charges fast, long battery life. My only complaint is the rounded screen edges. This is a feature that needs to die, it makes using a tempered glass screen protector impossible. If that's my only complaint, I suppose we are doing good.

I wanted this phone for a long time before it was announced but when I heard of the problems so I tried the Note 8 which was a good phone but I like google's assistant too much not to try out the Pixel 2 xl. I'm sure glad that I did because it blows my mind how much less garbage comes on it than the Note. The blue tint, okay so this is real but its only noticeable on a white screen so if you lay in bed and watch a plain white screen with your wife than this is a bad phone but if your watching a movie or just YouTube than there is no difference between this display and the note. YouTube does seam to be the only app so far that allows you to stretch the videos edge to edge kind of like Samsungs because of the round corners, Either way though at night you cannot see the black bars anyway because the blacks are so black. I haven't had a problem with screen burn in though if i did google extended the manufacturer warranty for 2 years so I really don't care if it ever does because I will just get a new one. that brings me to the next thing, They made it so you just plug your old phone into this one on start and it brings over everything! Alarms, background, even music, videos and more. Overall, if you want a great phone without the bloatware of Samsung this is a great phone.

The Google Pixel XL 2 is the best android device I have bought so far. A little background is I was an Apple user for over 5 years. Recently with all the iOS changes, I have become uninterested so in November of 2017 I jumped to a Galaxy Note 8 and fell in love with the way android operates. When the Pixel released I was interested in having a direct google android device to jumpstart my Google ecosystem. I will say that in my opinion, the Google direct Oreo software is very nice and better than the Samsung User interface they put on top of androids on the Galaxy devices. I found better functionality with googles commute alerts for time to leave. Camera I found the camera on the device to be amazing both with close-ups and long-range photos. I was able to take about 40 photos in my first few days and only a few didn’t come out to my liking. The photos were sharp and processed the lighting very well. There were a few photos that had weird lines caused by the type of light but have not run into that much. Something that can be fixed with a software update. *Plus with unlimited photo storage from google this only makes the package sweeter as phone storage will always be free of clutter. User Interface The device has been a wonder in the UI of the device. I have found everything on the phone very easily without fuss. You can search the phone and find anything you need in seconds. All the applications are direct google so constant updates are not a worry. The device did not come with any bloatware (5 Star Plus in my book). Battery This device has had a good battery life so far. With heavy usage, any phone can go down quickly but the Pixel handles this very well. With the Fast-charge technology, the Pixel phone does charge up quickly without issue. The only drawback is there is no wireless charging, not a huge disappointment to me as even with my galaxy device I ended up plugging it in most of the time for a faster charge. Overall this phone is a must buy.

I was a little hesitant and did quite a bit of research before purchasing this phone unlocked. I am amazed by how great this phone performs and feels. I am coming from both an iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8 Plus; this phone blows them both away. It is fast, doesn't require a custom launcher to look good, and the camera is amazing. I haven't noticed any "screen burn-in" and the blue tinting is not as bad as the media makes out. I also recently purchased a Google Pixelbook and it takes it to another level. My Pixel 2 XL instantly tethers its cellular connection to give the Pixelbook access, and I can unlock it with my phone. While this is a Verizon "exclusive", if you buy it outright (unlocked), you can connect it to any of the big 4 providers. I have mine on AT&T and it works great. I just popped the sim in and chatted with them online to update settings for fully functionality. Highly recommended.

TLDR version: The Pixel 2 XL 128GB is a solid phone but does not warrant the premium price tag that Samsung, LG, and Apple charge because of its lack of features and less than premium feel. Pros: -Best mobile camera in the industry (DXoMARK), going to be even better when the Google Image Processing Unit is enabled on Android 8.1 -Fastest Android updates, Android 8.0 is amazing compared to Android 7.1, feels more integrated and seamless. You will be the first to experience Android P in the future and get security updates faster -Pure Android experience. Zero bloatware that drains battery and resources. Not even Verizon bloatware can be found on this -Longest battery life compared to Note 8 and LG V30 Cons: Most of these are due to the high price tag -Lack of headphone jack -No wireless charging -No expandable SD card slot -IP67 compared to IP68 from LG and Samsungs -Screen is not as sharp compared to Samsung's AMOLED -Only has a single camera for a premium price tag Some of the new phones shipped are having reported screen issues. Lucky for me, I don't seem to be experiencing these issues like screen burn-ins or really bad grainy, uneven, colors. Although, I agree that compared to Samsungs Note 8 AMOLED screen (which I bought and returned for the Pixel 2XL), the Pixel 2 XL POLED just can't compare (Pixel 2 uses the AMOLED screen). I noticed the colors come out sharper and look more solid on the Pixel 2 AMOLED. The Pixel 2 XL colors look dull at the moment, but Google will be increasing the color saturation on their next update. The screen does look slightly grainy if I stare really close and hard at my phone. Honestly, I wouldn't have noticed it if wasn't for the hundreds of articles on the web pointing it out. The body does not feel as premium compared to the iPhone X, Note 8, or V30. It has a textured aluminum that makes the phone feel like its made with plastic. However, the weight and size of the phone feels very comfortable in my hand, unlike the Note 8 thats heavy and has an oddly long screen that my fingers need to "climb" to access the other side of the screen. Pixel 2 XL's screen to body ratio is also the smallest compared to the bezel-less designs of the competition because of the front-facing stereo speakers. The stereo speakers are great, they sound louder and richer when compared to other phone speakers. I can get lost in the Youtube universe and hear all my videos. But I personally don't think I really need the speakers if it meant that I can have a headphone jack and smaller bezels. When listening to music, it's better to just use Bluetooth speakers. Sadly, the Pixel 2 lacks the Samsung S/Note 8 feature of connecting 2 Bluetooth speakers at the same time. The phone is fast and snappy with the Snapdragon 835 chipset and with 4GB of RAM to satisfy all of your multitasking needs. The battery is the biggest compared to the LG v30, iPhone X, and Note 8. I get about 6 hours of screen time before my battery gets to 15%, which means it will last me all day when I wake up until I go to sleep. I noticed with the V30 and the Note 8 that my battery would drain to 15% around 5 hours 30 min of screen time. The best thing about this phone is its camera. Last year the Pixel had one of the best cameras in the mobile market, it got even better with the Pixel 2, and will get even better with Android 8.1 (which you will be the first to get) when they turn on the Google Image Processing Unit. The camera snaps fast with little lag. The photos come out very natural compared to the Note 8 and V30. What you take a picture of comes out pretty close to what you see with your eyes. The front face camera also gives a sharp detailed photo compared to the V30. But for the premium price tag, it lacks a 2nd camera that could have provided a wide angle view or optical zoom. If you haven't experienced the Android Assistant yet, prepared to be blown away. It is a very convenient feature and allows me to operate a lot of features on my phone without touching it. The voice recognition is surprisingly accurate. The squeezable side of the phone is actually convenient to active assistant silently or silence your phone when you're in a meeting, but there are also ways that you can reprogram it do other things like open a browser, open camera, etc. The Pixel 2 XL is a good solid phone, but not great because of the price. It lacks the features that the other premium phones provide for the same price point. I would highly recommend buying this phone, but not right now at this price tag and screen issues. Maybe until the price drops down to the $600 range ($700 for the 128GB) or $700 range ($800 for the 128GB) if Google manages to fix the screen quality issue.

I switched from a Galaxy S8 Plus to the Pixel 2 XL, imagine a phone with instant updates from google, NO BLOATWARE. I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with the blue side angel on the screen, it's NOT that noticable, I mean I looked at my S8 and there is a tint to it also. Great battery life, nice screen and awesome sound.

Fast, lots of memory to run lots of apps, great camera, frequent google upgrades, excellent call quality. Two quibbles: old text messages did not automatically transfer (needed to use a third party app to accomplish that) and the bluetooth connectivity can be a little temperamental. Otherwise, very happy.

It’s by far the best android phone I’ve ever used. It’s perfect. I think the screen is beautiful. It’s not as mesmerizing as a Samsung screen but it’s just as good when watching movies. The battery has been top notch. I watched 2 seasons of the show “Travelers” and it was at 20 percent when I was done. It’s hard drive seems to write fast. It charges quickly. The software seems to be very smooth, much smoother than my iPhone 7.

This Pixel 2XL phone has been working great and is great with the Google Fi plan when traveling abroad. Your US home plan stays the same whichever covered country you're in, except phone calls are 20c/min unless calling over wifi. Phone has good battery life, charges quickly, turns on/off quickly, doesn't have bloatware, works as described, has fingerprint sign-in capability and takes beautiful pictures, automatically backed up to your google account.

Really wanted to LOVE this phone. Camera is good, not great. Zoom on video adequate, but not fabulous, and correcting for exposure during video - glitchy. Coming from a Samsung S7, the display is NOT up to par. Dull and too contrasty. SO many shadows on faces despite settings (even trying fill flash). Appreciate the lack of bloatware. Concerned what happens to the "free" storage once the expiration runs out (could NOT get an answer from 2 google reps). Battery life is better than S7. Also, have spent over 8 hours with Verizon and Best Buy to get the correct pricing of unit (as it was ordered 4/30 and not picked up until 5/8 as it was not in stock). What should have been a seamless credit of $!2.50 for 24 months is STILL not posting correctly and bonus google mini and chromecast was "lost" somewhere between Best Buy and Verizon and not yet sent. Transaction as a whole 1 star!
