Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Pixel 2 XL 64GB's camera quality, battery life, and ease of use. Many also appreciate the screen size and the phone's performance, noting the smooth operation and lack of pre-installed apps. However, some users miss the headphone jack and wish for more storage options or wireless charging capabilities. The absence of expandable storage was also a point of concern for some customers.

My son raved about the quality of his Google phone and told me how intuitive his experience was with adapting to it. He was right about that and it was so free of bloatware Great build and obvious quality. Seamless transition , facilitation excellent by staff as always.

My son, who is my own personal geek squad, recommended I get this phone. So far I really like it and its features. It does not come with apps you never wanted and can't get rid of. Nice large screen! I like to "picture" phone calls, and the voice and fingerprint activation.

Love this phone! Got a great deal on it. Took me a quick minute to learn how to operate since it was a bit different than my previous phone . . . I'm not that tech savvy. But it's great. And takes great pics.

Purchased on sale at half off after the new Pixel 3 came out, so a relative bargain at $400. Super resolution, wonderful camera, ridiculously easy setup. Only concern is the phase-out of accessories. I kind of wish a phone would last more than a year or two.

I LOVE THIS PHONE! Not only is this camera amazing but the multitasking aspect of this phone helps me with everyday tasks! I use to have an Iphone which I loved so much, but after having this phone for barely a couple weeks, I know I will never go back to team Iphone.

What a Great Phone the Pixel 2 XL is! The service on the other hand was a little rough due to the guy not understanding that we just wanted to pay the phone off on a prepaid plan. Which meant a long chaotic effort to fix what he did through our provider.

I'm a battery hog, I work in a metal building in a rural area and previous phones are zapped in less than 8 hrs, this phone will not only last all day, it still has 70% when I go home after 12 hrs. Typical Android platform but you get the fastest updates pushed out to you before any other brand. Great phone for the money!

This is probably the best phone I've ever owed. It does exactly what I want it to when I wanted to. I have yet to have a problem with it running out of room. The camera is amazing it's quick, the Google Assistant interaction with the rest of the phone is perfect.

Bought this to replace my 'ancient' (3 year old) Motorola droid turbo. Some features are more convenient, like being able to swipe up to view all apps, some seem less intuitive but probably just take getting used to. Many functions are about the same. I'm sure once I start to dig in I'll find other things to love.

Traded in a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge for the Pixel 2 XL. Gota great deal on Black Friday and made the switch. I miss some features of my Samsung but the XL is super fast and takes great pictures. Love the screen size, not too big, not too small.

I have been an avid iPhone user for years and this phone made me almost switch over to the other side just because of the camera. In the end it’s up to personal preference. I’m addicted to the Apple eco-system so I went back to my iPhone eventually.

I was wanting to hold out for the Pixel 4, but my Pixel died. Was thinking of going with the Pixel 3 until I found the Pixel 2 on sale for $400. I'm sure I'm missing out on some features but have been completely happy with my purchase.

    My first SmartPhone

This is my first SmartPhone. After many years with a DumbPhone (LG Cosmos) I finally caved and did research and decided to stay Android (I have a Samsung Galaxy Tablet) and purchased the Google Pixel 2 XL. The BestBuy promotion also helped in cementing my decision. The Google Girl (Jackie) and the Verizon Girl (Becca) were terrific in guiding me through the buying process and answering all my questions in a very professional manner. I am still getting up to speed on all the things (apps) that the phone can do.... my son has been very helpful as he, too, has an Android (Samsung) SmartPhone. I guess an old dog (I'm 76) can learn new tricks and I am very pleased with my new phone.

    Problems from the start

I really wanted to like this phone but it has got to be defective. I will say that yes the camera and video is really very good, which is great because as the mom of a cute kid that's always doing funny things, I take a lot of pictures and video...but that's my only positive experience so far unfortunately. Half the time when I try to make a call, it will hang up as soon as it connects to the other party and go back to the home screen, and sometimes it just goes back to the home screen before I can even finish getting the number typed in. This has repeated up to...I'd say 6 to 8 times in a row with me trying to get a word in to the person on the other end before it disconnects me, and then we play phone tag for a while so it can hang up on them too...and it just goes on and on until I get tired of it and decide that I just don't need to talk to them ever again. When the call does connect, half of the time as soon as it starts dialing, the screen goes black and there's no amount of pushing any combination of buttons or the touch screen that will get it to come back... so if it's an automated call where you have to type in a # selection, or you get someone's voicemail, there's nothing you can do until the call disconnects itself and sometimes that can take quite a while if there's not another live person on the other end. Try having that little issue when your kiddo seems to have disappeared from her school campus and after 10 minutes of searching, you're frantically trying to call her phone or a family member to check if someone else picked her up,....but your phone has decided to go black on you and either it goes black and you can't get it to do anything or it just goes dead from lack of a successful charge. Lots of fun. Oh did I mention that sometimes it seems to not want to charge up either?? I've had random things open up when I haven't pressed anything at all also, because it seems to just have a mind of its own. I would have taken it back to Best buy immediately but I misplaced my receipt for a bit.. aaand I found it right after the return window had passed. I haven't contacted Google yet because I'm pretty sure they would just want to send me a refurbished phone if anything and I don't want that. I don't think its reasonable that anyone should pay hundreds of dollars for what's supposed to be a brand new, top of the line phone only to have some kind of problem with it that needs a resolution, which is bad enough...only to then be sent a used refurb, which you are still required to pay for as if it is a brand new phone....and it's a refurb in the first place because it was sent back with problems!!! On top of all that, design-wise all 3 buttons being on the same side of the phone so close together is a headache when you're having to figure out the exact placement of the one you're trying to press. Even looking right at it sometimes you can't see the distinction between the three because of its pitch black side. I did a Google search (ironically enough) for tips on how to fix any of these issues (the screen going black is apparently a known and frequent issue with these phones by the way) and followed instructions to do a hard reset, to power down the phone when the screen was black, to clear the cache, to put it to put it back to factory settings, etc etc, but nothing has worked. So yeah, it's been just a pain from jump. Sorry Google I like you guys but the Pixel 2 XL has just not worked out for me at all. I wish I would have waited a few more weeks on the 3, maybe I would have had better luck. Now I feel like I'm stuck with this, and I can't afford to buy something else :(

This phone lets you use the latest Android version and it's features. There are many AI features that I am still discovering. The camera takes great photos and has many editing features. If you are an Android advocate this is the phone for you.

I have had the Google pixel 2 XL for a few days and I love it. The phone works wonderfully and has not disappointed. The only downside is the lack of options on accessories. Best buy only had 1 case option in store and even Amazon didn't have much.

I did a bunch of research when I bought the pixel 2 xl, I switched from an iPhone 6. This was my first Android phone and I love it. It's been great. I did get it after all of the major bugs had been fixed so I haven't had any issues.

I've owned iphones, samsung notes, and galaxy phones.I really love this phone but wifi calling only works on it if you have Verizon. I have AT&T and I have to have wifi calling at my house. The battery life and pure android is awesome on this phone but they need to stop making it verizon only.
