Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Pixel 2 XL 64GB's camera quality, battery life, and ease of use. Many also appreciate the screen size and the phone's performance, noting the smooth operation and lack of pre-installed apps. However, some users miss the headphone jack and wish for more storage options or wireless charging capabilities. The absence of expandable storage was also a point of concern for some customers.

The Pixel 2 XL Converted this Apple fan!

I've worked in the mobile phone industry for 16 years. When it came to iPhone vs Android, I've always gone iPhone for the reliability alone! I previously owned the iPhone X and loved it, but when I found myself needing to switch carriers, I didn't want to buy another one 3 months before the new one came out, so I gave the Pixel 2 XL a shot. I LOVE the camera! It does better taking 'portrait mode" pictures than my iPhone X did, even without having to switch to a different mode and without a 2nd lense. This phone is fast and smooth as butter. No lag whatsoever. I'm loving pure Android Oreo, it's clean and easy to manage notification system, and non-jarring notification sounds. The screen is gorgeous and I love watching TV on it while on the go. I really like the clock and notifications on the ambient display. I had to tap my iPhone just to see what time it was. It's been a month and I'm still not looking back! I just wish there was a watch that was as good as my Apple watch to go with it and that it had Qi wireless charging.

I liked the Pixel 2 XL so much I went back to get the 128GB version. My unit had an excellent screen, great battery life, and nice speakers. The lack of the headphone jack stinks, but the speakers do make up for it. This phones selling points are getting yearly software updates and having an amazing camera, which also gets continual updates.

Switched phones recently - had an iPhone over. Absolutely love this phone. Long battery life, amazing picture quality, user-friendly, fast charging. It doesn't have an audio jack however so an adapter is needed to use headphones. Overall an amazing phone. I'm glad I decided to buy this phone instead of another iPhone.

This phone is by far the most responsive, fastest phones I've owned. The no Bloatware and unneeded apps allow this phone to do just what you want without extra keystroke's. Battery Life great. Display sharp, crisp and clear. Camera exceptional quality, plus Unlimited storage on Google Photos. I'll never buy a bloatware phone again.

Don't let all of the negative reviews about the screen scare you away. This is a great phone and unless you're constantly comparing you'll never notice anything. Unbelievable camera with unlimited storage is a huge plus. Everything works exactly like it is designed to and comes with a full 2 year warranty, plus Google has a built in chat feature with their support so you're questions get answers immediately.

Excellent screen size, and speed. Camera is fantastic. Have always had Android Samsungs and loved that product line but the Google Pixel was on special and the great staff at Best Buy had nothing but good things to say about it. Google has so many conveniences built into this phone. Have to say, I LOVE this phone!

I love how smoothly this phone operates and the lack of bloatware. I also get a lot of compliments on the photos I take with it. I've only had the phone for a couple of months, however, and I had to return one of them for a replacement after a strange and scary charging malfunction, and the new one is starting to slow down when taking pictures already. :(

I decided to switch from Samsung Galaxy phones to the Google Pixel. It did not disappoint me. The camera and screen are both very sharp. The Google Assistant I'm really happy with. The fingerprint scanner being on the back of the phone did take a little getting used to, but it was not a huge deal for me. I would definitely recommend this phone.

Being disgruntled about the increase in the iPhone prices I decided to switch over to Andriod. I've had Android phones in the past, Motorola, Samsung. I really didn't care for all of the boatware I included on those phones. After doing extensive research on the Android phones available I decided on the Pixel 2XL. It is pure Andriod with no bloatware. It even comes with unlimited cloud storage with Google. This in exchange for no SD card slot to expand storage. Picture quality is excellent, responsiveness is lightning fast. Oh, and $200 cheaper than the equivalent iPhone. Only downfall is it was not available on AT&T. I had to buy the phone outright. Not a big problem because the phone is unlocked from the factory.

Didn't really want to get a large phone but after getting used to the size of the phone I have come to like it a lot. The fingerprint feature on the back is really convenient and the photos are really high quality. I am using google service on my device and with exception of being in concrete buildings, I love it.

I am a huge fan of the Pixel line of products and the Pixel 2 XL is no exception. The size is great, the quality is great, and while the price is a bit high, you get what you pay for. I personally prefer the white version a little better but this black one is great and is really just personal preference.

This phone is absolutely amazing. I came from a Moto E4, and despite it having nearly twice the battery size, this one has lasted longer. My fav thing about this phone is stock Android and has no bloteware and frequent and imoroving updates. The screen blows me away at 1440 P. Do NOT let the early reviews about the screen fool you. It was just a color scheme that can be changed. One you have it set to an alternative setting, it's like any other phone. Oddly, the squeeze feature on the chassis that triggers Google assistant is one of my favorite things about it. The camera is also the best in the business. Just the best of the best.

Wish they had not gotten rid of the headphone jack or at least put wireless charging in. Otherwise great phone, camera kick but. Screen awesome. Light but still feels premium. And they fixed the crappy Bluetooth from the last pixel!

I don't like shopping for phones, it's always so confusing. I've been looking for a new phone for months. Last night I went in not expecting to find anything I like... Had seen the Pixel 2, but it just seemed hokey to me.... I was never more wrong. The camera is just incredible, the pictures are so nice. The phone is fast, and is really a step up on the Android operating system; thought went in to how people would be using the phone... I haven't been this happy with a phone purchase in over 5 years... Simple set up, an good guidance by Google when starting this phone up, make using it fun... You will enjoy this phone!

My S7 was great until it started lagging. Switched to the pixel xl2 and love it. It's super fast and takes amazing photos and videos! Wasn't sure if I'd like the bigger size but it is amazing! Best phone I've ever owned

I was tempted when Best Buy dropped the price to $400 but resisted. When it went to $350 I could no longer resist. I picked it up to replace an older Samsung Galaxy phone. I had a Nexus phone previously so I knew what to expect from a pure Android (Google) style phone. I'm very please with this phone. Screen is excellent, camera is excellent and so far the battery life is also great. I expect over time the battery life will get worse (they always do) but as long I can continue to get through the day (right now I'm only using about 50% for a day of normal use) I'll be happy. I doubt the Pixel 2 XL will be available again at this price, but if it is, I'd highly recommend it.

I am in love with Google Pixel 2 XL. It's easy to use, really fast and so much lighter and sleeker than other phones. Camera is its greatest advantage. The sound is very clear. I'm really enjoying this phone.

This has been a great phone - upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S-5. Easy to set up, easy to use, great photos, and not a bunch of unused apps I don't need that I can't delete like with Samsung.

Pros: - Beautiful screen with a high resolution - Excellent camera, comparable to my Nokia 950 XL - All the apps one could want (came from Windows Phone so it's been amazing) - Great battery life with fast charging - Still rock solid after a handful of drops through the years - Zero boot, charging or battery issues after ~3 years of daily use, it's built like a tank. Cons: - Slightly heavy/hefty with prolonged use, but the trade off is worth it - Decent updates, wish Google provided 5 years like Apple but it's good enough.
