Many also appreciate the screen size and the phone's performance, noting the smooth operation and lack of pre-installed apps. Ok Phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The big plus is that the finger print reader is very great. The screen and sound are great also. What I don't like about it is that the screen and the button are very sensitive,,the first thing you want to do is change the sensitivity function. The big reason I don't like the phone is that the software is a big change from Samsung. I don't like setting up the screen icons and going thru the options. If yoju are a big Samsung person like I have been for years, and don't like a big change, I'd say stick with Samsung.

Not ready for prime time.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll preface by stating that I'm a long time iPhone user switching to Android - so there were a few learning curves and I did like the format and the UI. A few things to consider that I wish I had done more research on before I purchased - and ultimately returned because of these short comings. 1. Do not buy if you are on AT&T and have poor coverage at your main usage location. Because it's not AT&T, no WiFi calling and AT&T stopped selling/supporting microcell. When I asked AT&T if all functionality would be supported, the rep at the store said yes. Not true. 2. Do not buy if you need more than one bluetooth connection at a time. The Pixel only supports one connection at a time. This was ultimately what caused me to send it back. If you use a fitness device, smart watch, Garmin, etc. - and want to use your wireless headphones/car at the same time - you can't. Big show stopper for me. 3. Random reboots. About twice a day - including when I was on business calls, it would just reboot. Sitting at my desk, chatting away and my headset give me a "Pixel 2 disconnected". Look at the phone and it's rebooting. I sent the crash reports a few times and even spoke with Google premier support. They said it was a known issue. Overall, would recommend if you want a cool camera phone - but not if you're going to use it for business. Can't have reboots and the lack of support for multiple Bluetooth devices at a time were killers for me.

Top notch phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came from 7 years with iPhone and the transition was pretty easy. Fantastic phone and great all around experience. Does everything I need and more....love the size and love the customization. IMessage might be the only thing apple has over android, but it is only marginally better. I won’t be going back to Apple.

Mediocre at Best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoyed the simplistic software experience that the Pixel 2XL has to offer. Another strongpoint is the camera. The performance from the camera is outstanding. However, the physical hardware aspect falls short. I had to go through two devices since the first one stopped charging after a week and the second one had a horrible looking display. The fit and finish are also not up to par for the price point that this is offered at. I really tried to like this device but the hardware failures left me dubious of the long term reliability of the Pixel.

Worst phone I have ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first bought this phone, I was super excited. All the tech people at the store told me it was one of the top phones on the market and had no issues. Let me tell you, there's plenty of annoyances and actual issues. First of all, if you want to plug your phone into anything, you need to buy a non-Google cable, and even then they are not always the best cables (nor the cheapest). Second, my phone refuses to connect to any devices via Bluetooth. I've tried every tip that Google has on their site, and they just refuse to work. It's an issue I've seen many others have online as well. There's also this issue that appears to pop up randomly is that it will decide that a wifi network has no internet. As of right now, my phone at home has not worked in over 12 hours, yet every other device in the home on the same network is fine. There's also a serious irritation when it comes to photos. It is very rare that I can just send a picture from the messaging app or post something onto social media. Instead, I have to open Google Photos and share it from there, which is highly irritating. There's also a serious issue with blackscreening. I have never had a phone that blackscreened being such a new phone. The first time it blackscreened I hadn't even had the phone for two months. In the month of January, it blackscreened three times. The phone gets two stars because the camera quality is excellent, and having Google Drive does provide a large amount of storage. However, I have not even had this phone for a full year and I completely despise the device.

Few things it can't do.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The is nice and the fact that the phone comes with an adapter to transfer iPhone information to your Pixel. If you have itunes music it does work. However, it only works with the phone speaker and works with the plug in headphone adapter. If you connect the phone with bluetooth headphones. The songs that you moved over from itunes does not work. Your phone does play itunes music but it cannot project it to the bluetooth headphones. If you are moving phones from iphone to android and have lots of items from itunes or ibooks than don't do it. If you are just using pandora or spotify then do it. Its a great phone but I need to switch back.

Great phone but battery system is sub par
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having had this phone a month, I feel I can do a proper review. Phone runs great. Image quality is excellent. Processor is fast. Indeed the only issues I have are with the battery. I've optimized the power and I get around 8 hours of battery life. And don't believe that nonsense of 7 hours use coming from 15 minutes charging. So I'll admit I'm unhappy because the critical thing I need for the phone is long battery life. And, of course, this is a brand new phone. I can't imagine how the battery will suck in 2 years.

Battery and Customization
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am giving it a 3 star. CONS: One big feature for me, is being able to customize everyone text tones not just the ringtones. I don't get that many call and hate having the same sound for everyone. The battery life not that great. The water rating could be higher. PROS: Excellent camera, probably the best one with andding on, a little slow to snap but good quality. Great screen and visibility. If you update to change text tones I'll give it a 4.5.

Poor quality product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Pixel 2 xl for 10 days. Initially I thought the phone was pretty much what I was looking for, the software and functionality is set up how I prefer. But by the first night I was noticing the screen quality was very poor, mainly the touch sensor didn't work on about 10% of the screen, but also a dull display and what seemed to be a plastic screen. Then I made my first phone call. There was a high pitched crackle that I first thought was a connection issue, but after numerous calls I realized it was my phone. Then software glitches started occurring... the screen wouldn't come on when it should, do not disturb wouldn't work, outgoing phone calls would default to speaker phone even though it didn't show it on the display. And many other little frustrating things happened throughout use... I researched the issues I was having and all of them were common problems that other users experienced, but I was lucky to have them happen during the 15 day return window. So, long story short-ish, I had to return it. It's quite literally a plastic pile of junk, but if Google addresses the numerous quality issues I'd consider a Google phone in the future. FYI, there is a class action lawsuit for the Pixel 2xl screen quality issues.

Great OS Poor durability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this phone for the speediness and fluidity of the Pure Android operating system. It was the first Android phone that approached the experience of iOS for multitasking and lack of lag. Sadly one drop in my bathroom from less than 1.5 feet resulted in a cracked screen around the top speaker grill which began quickly disintegrate from there down the screen. Also, issues with insufficient screen brightness outdoors, some apps having difficulty with the 18:9 screen aspect ratio. I have had 4 iPhones some dropped from heights of 3 feet without any issues save a scuff or scratch. Will most likely be changing to an iPhone XR or XS Maxx

Horrible Screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have used any other phone in the last year do not get this phone. The screen is so bad and grainy and google's support says that the grain is an inherent quality of the panel. It is not present in any other phone I have tried though. The screen is the main part of the phone. It will ruin your experience. Trust me, it has ruined mine.

Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this phone new 3 weeks ago, randomly when locking and unlocking the screen would flash very bright to the point of hurting my eyes. I exchanged it for another and this one was working great for 6 days until tonight it started flashing. Now I have to return it again. I don't have time for this. Very disappointed in the quality control.
