Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Pixel 2 XL 64GB's camera quality, battery life, and ease of use. Many also appreciate the screen size and the phone's performance, noting the smooth operation and lack of pre-installed apps. However, some users miss the headphone jack and wish for more storage options or wireless charging capabilities. The absence of expandable storage was also a point of concern for some customers.

I was fed up with Apple, so when I became eligible for an upgrade, I took my chance. I was looking at the Google Pixel 2XL and Samsung Galaxy 9+. I went with Google because of mostly good reviews and price. The pictures in this phone are amazing. They are very clear, very vivid...even when the subject is moving. This phone is almost HALF what I was paying for my iPhone 7plus and I'm liking it so much more. To be fair, I've only had it for 2 weeks, but so far I'm extremely pleased, and happy I made the change.

Although still only a few weeks in use, I'm very happen with the Pixel 2XL after upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy. While still working thru differences in processes, the quality of the display and the easy access to google search by squeezing the case provides nice efficiency. The quality of the pictures was immediately obvious. My only negative to date is the weakness of the speakerphone on the receipt at the other end of a call for outgoing conversations. Otherwise, a big thumbs up for the phone.

The phone is just flawless, no lags, the thing is just fast. The watch is great but Android Wear needs to improve some points. The screen protector gets the job done.

I have been using Android phones since the OG Motorola Droid. I have been rooting and ROMing since then as well. I have always liked the pure Android experience, but not the inconvenience of all the modding. This phone not only allows for pure Android, but it makes it easy to have that experience. I have also never had better speed and performance on a phone. I must admit that I miss the headphone jack, but that is about the only negative I can find with regard to the Pixel2.

Got $400 off with vz activation. The camera and display are stunning. Was a little disappointed with the photo editor, but the free Snapseed app is a good solution. Large front speaker has good sound quality. Google assistant is insanely intuitive. Tons of neat little surprises like the way it automatically tells you what song is playing from the lock screen. Hands down the fastest processor I've ever used on a phone. Best bang for your buck, hands down.

I got the Pixel 2 XL to replace a Nexus 6P. I can't think of what more most people would need in a phone. The camera is excellent, the processor speed is great, and it has better 4G signal reception than the 6P. Screen is bright and sensitive. The only issue I have is the fact you need a dongle to use standard earphones. But with all the wireless ear buds out there, and the headphones with usb-c, I guess I will have to upgrade.

Overall this phone is excellent. Battery life lasts throughout the day and charges again quickly. The screen is great but it is prone to scratches. Camera is just as good as my Pixel 3 not a noticeable difference. Stock Android is great and this pixel offers the best android experience available. One thing you may miss if moving over from samsung is headphone jack and expandable memory.

Works great, easy to use - even for someone like me who only knows the basics of anything tech. The camera is great as well. Since I got the phone the next generations have come out and their camera are great but so is this one and might be worth the purchase if you are upgrading but not ready to spend the money on a Pixel 4 or 5.

My first smartphone was a Motorola Droid Ultra. I am happy to say lasting five years! But it was time for an update. I chose the Google Pixel 2 XL mainly for the price being offered at Best Buy. My daughter owns the first generation of Pixel and has been happy with her choice. So far I really like the phone and the XL size makes viewing easier. The camera takes wonderful photos as well.

I have had this for a month so far and am very happy with it. The 6" screen size is nice for viewing webpages, apps, etc. The overall size is still pretty comfortable to use. The system is fast and the standard 64GB of memory is a welcome step up. The interface changes took a bit of getting used to vs. previous phones of mine, but nothing too bad. The camera has performed quite well.

This phone was recommened by the sales associate over the S9 Plus. He was spot on. The operation of the Android OS is more smooth, and came with less garbage software then my Samsung's had come with in the past. Great speed, and extras of the minimizing Google Maps screen and such when using other apps is very handy. Can't say enough about this phone so far, 2 weeks in.

I used to be a Samsung lover but I decided to give Pixel a shot. I went from a S8+ to Pixel 2 XL and I can honestly say I think it was a good choice. I am one who love to test out new tech and software. When you have a Pixel you can enroll in the Beta program and it allows you to download the next version of Android. Currently rocking Android P. There is nothing wrong with Oreo but if you get the chance to use a version that few get you just have to jump onto the bandwagon. Now for the device itself. It is awesome. My battery has never been this good. I work in signal deadzones so my S8+ would drain so fast trying to connect to the LTE network. I don't seem to have that issue with Pixel. Same settings and usage only instead of ending the day with 30% battery remaining I end the day with 60% remaining. While I would have loved to have the micro-SD slot it isn't that important with unlimited Google Photos. If you are on the fence on whether or not to give Google Pixel a try I say do it. You won't be sorry.

Over 2 years old and still running like the day I bought it. It's definitely a great value and quality product. The built in assistant connects to our Google Home devices easily to control our smart home features. This is the best camera on a phone I've ever owned and the phone itself is a fast running device.

I looked at CNET and read many reviews before allowing my teenage daughter to get this phone. No headphone jack, but wireless blue tooth headset is convenient to use. This phone does not have the Samsung apps, which is a plus in my opinion. Nice large, high quality screen. Camera is high quality and my daughter really enjoys it. Overall, very happy and satisfied.

Loving my Pixel 2xl. I've read about many problems with the camera but have not experienced those issues. In fact the Camera continually impresses me in low light situations and on resolution. Also it's nice to have an Android phone without all the Samsung plus my Carrier's bloatware. I had discovered an issue with the display quality while on lock screen. The left half of my screen appeared to have a gradient overlay. I called Google support who had me disable the default ambient light settings which fixed my issue. I knocked off a star because of this service call. Although Google support was fast and thorough; I have concerns requiring the user to essentially disable a feature to fix an issue. It left me wondering if the software hasn't been fully tested or there is a looming future issue with my device display. Given all the issues that have been reported I do reccommend consider buying the Geeksquad protection on this phone if you don't have replacement coverage via your carrier.
