Almost as good as the Pixel 2xl

I bought this for my husband. He was using a Samsung S8 which by all rights had no issues except the Touchwiz update was starting to get a bit cartoony. I have had success with Google Pixel 2xl and thought why the heck not try the Pixel 3. For the most part it worked flawlessly. Everything transferred over with no issues. Performance on the phone was great. The only gripe was that it had issues connecting to Google Home Mini as a bluetooth speaker. He likes to listen to ASMR at night to sleep. We connected the device to the mini and went to bed. About 30 mins it would for no reason disconnect and if you have ever connected to that mini you know it gives a loud connect/disconnect chime. I thought will maybe it was an update of Youtube which we were streaming it from. Tried it the next night and same thing. 30 mins and it disconnects. I looked in all settings for bluetooth, Google Home, and Google Home Mini settings and I could find nothing. So I tried it one night with my Google Pixel 2xl. I stayed connected the entire night. There is something different about the Pixel 3 bluetooth connecting to Google Home Mini that Pixel 2xl doesn't do. We connected the Pixel 3 to a regular bluetooth speaker. No issues. Stays connected all night long. Does this one issue mean we are sorry for getting the Pixel 3? No. It just means we can't use the Google Home Mini as 8 hour bluetooth speaker. Everything that the phone does makes up for what it can't do. PS....he is not a technology person. Me getting him a new phone was a act of god and he says he isn't sorry for switching to pure Android.

I've only had this phone for less than 2 weeks, but thus far I've been impressed at every turn. The camera especially is leaps and bounds superior to my old Droid Maxx. It's very intuitive and easy to learn, and battery life thus far has been superb. I expect to get many years of service out of this phone (yes, even long after I'm eligible for an upgrade!) If you are hesitating, wait no more and get one NOW!

I had the original Pixel for 2 years plus 2 days (go figure) and then the motherboard died. I'm going to be 100% honest. I had no intention of trading the phone. Well, I had to (again, go figure ...) and so far this Pixel 3 is awesome. Just like the first. No bloatware!!! And the camera is amazing. And it's fast. And no bloatware! I converted my wife from her old LG V20 to the Pixel 3 XL as well.

I can't get over how wonderful this phone has been for me, I don't even know where to begin talking about how much I love this phone. I am a Pixel fanboy, but the Pixel 3 is where they really got it right (besides the first one). I've had this phone nearly two years and it's been stable (software) and reliable (hardware). Call quality and signal is excellent, sound quality from its (stereo) speakers is also great, I would miss having stereo speakers if I switched to a phone without them. Screen quality is great, very natural looking, sometimes I wish it were brighter on very sunny days outside but I have a screen protector that I think is partly to blame. Snappy performance, google assistant standard, and I do everything in the Google ecosystem, so everything synchronizes (passwords, etc.). I do find this model to be pretty tough, but I recommend the (expensive) case made by Google, it won't scratch the phone like otterbox style cases. The camera on pixel phones will keep you coming back, and the unadulterated Android experience direct from Google is smooth and uncluttered. Ugh! I LOVE this phone!

Coming from a pixel 2 xl to the Pixel 3. I thought I would miss having the bigger screen, but turns out I actually enjoy the smaller version of this phone. Software is fast and smooth. Beat camera on a phone still. Battery isn't as great as I would like, but quick charge helps out with that issue.

This phone is amazing. It works simply without unnecessary extras. I love that I get unlimited photo storage in Google drive, and the camera is amazing. Battery lasts to the end of the day and then some. Very user friend. If you use Google at all on your current phone, you will love this one.

I work at a phone store and own three phones, iPhone x, Moto z3 and this phone. Great cell reception better signal strength than iPhones. Best camera of all cell phones out right now. Sometimes Bluetooth as trouble connecting. Restart fixes this. Display and battery life are top notch.

Holy cow, this new phone is truly SMART! I love it; camera is spectacular, Google assistant and the many possibilities seem endless, still have to learn more about what's possible. Like the size, fit's nicely in my hand, beautiful screen, easy to use, responsive. Lots to learn still

I’m upgrading from Pixel 1 and it’s worth it so far. Upgraded during the Black Friday deal 50% off with Verizon. The phone is faster, camera is amazing with portrait mode as well. Wireless charging is definitely a big plus. Only downside is the screen is quite different from the Pixel 3 XL.

The good: It's a fantastic phone with an amazing camera. Getting the newest android updates as soon as they're available to the public is great. It's got the best features that Google has available, including nightsight on the camera and call screening. The mediocre: I still long for a headphone jack and sometimes bluetooth is spotty like previous Pixels. The bad: Battery life still isn't as good as I'd like it to be. It's not bad by any stretch, but it definitely isn't as long lasting as I'd want. I'm a moderate to heavy user and I often need to charge a bit in the late afternoon. The maybe good maybe bad: Some stock android features are nice, some less so. It's a bit more DIY than other android phones with their own interfaces (like Samsungs), but still not difficult by any stretch to make it work the way you'd like it to with some new apps and a bit of reading/research.

The Pixel 3 is a great size. Same screen as Pixel 1 but thinner, lighter, smaller overall. It feel s great in hand and love the rear glass design. Smooth and quick stock Android. The camera is amazing. Love everything about this phone.

My old Samsung S6 was dying a slow death between weird reboots and the battery not holding a charge for more than a few hours. I decided to get the Pixel 3 as my son had gotten one over the summer and was really happy with it. So far I am enjoying the phone. There are a few minor features that are missing such as sending delayed text messages (apparently there is an app for that) and it does not display song and artist info when I am using my Amazon music app through the bluetooth in my car. The camera seems to work really well and I am enjoying the fact that the battery easily lasts all day. Not to mention, it was priced well below Samsung and Apple for what I consider to be comparable phones. I just needed a reliable phone and so far this fits the bill.

I picked the Pixel 3 up for $399.99 on the Black Friday sale. I was estatic about the price tag, I love the stock Android experience. There's nothing about this device that is lacking, it's got a great Camera, decent day long battery life and no bloatware. I would love to see the headphone jack return, which was the only downside from moving from other Android flagships. As someone who is in the electronic business and switches phones every month or so, I'll definitely use the Pixel 3 as a daily driver for a long while. Just a warning, there aren't many cases for this device. If you're someone who enjoys having several name brand cases, this one is going to be limited.

I upgraded from my Pixel 2 XL. I didn't like the larger screen. The better chip and camera in the pixel 3 come in handy all the time. The wireless charging is also very useful especially after I got a qi charger car mount.

My first Pixel 3 device (purchased March 2019), was faulty immediately. There were issues. One of the main ones was the speakerphone just didn't seem to want to work when switching it on in the midst of a call. Then, the speakerphone just stopped working entirely. Took that device back after just a few weeks and got #2. Has been working great for over a year now, with good speed, fantastic camera, and battery life to be expected for a smart device (phone says battery lasts for 28-29 hours on average). These are clean devices, that run Android OS smoothly. Google hardware, Google software, just works well (when it works). I would get another Pixel in the future. Thank you, Best Buy Mobile, for making the phone swapping easy.

It is as advertised. The camera is great, but that was not important to me. The ease of use is great. When on the phone with an app open, a small phone icon appears and allows you to go back to the call, mute or other functions. Fingerprint recognition in the back was hard to get used to, but after 3 days I realized it was brilliant. Switching between hands free devices while in call is also a bonus. Start up and transfer was a breeze, 1 hour from activation to data successfully transferred (I did lose 2 numbers in the process though, but not bad.) The Google assistant is not Siri, but it gets the job done. It is also great with my VOIP office system. I was leary at first, but after hours of comparison between OS, brand, size and storage, this is a great choice.

I like the phone a lot in general. The battery seems to be lasting quite a long time (it's new) and it seems to take great pictures - I like the night vision option. I am having some challenges with the index finder security - it does not seem to work very well with my fingernails - mostly I'm having to use the keypad code. I also don't like that it does not have different options for do not disturb in different situations. So, I have it set to priority, which is what I want overnight, but I can't set it to total silence without going in and changing the global setting. This is very inconvenient because there are times when I need total silence, but I don't want that overnight in case there is an emergency.

I hold on to phones for a long time...LONG TIME, as in 5 years or more, so making the decision to purchase a new one is not taken lightly or quickly. Other than getting used to something different, so far I haven't found any problems with the phone. The smaller size Pixel 3 is easy to operate with one hand, call quality is great, the speaker is awesome and it seems sturdy enough, although I purchased a case that completely covers the entire phone. I opted for 128G to ensure I'll have enough future space. I haven't used headphones with it yet. The only complaint I have is that there is no SD card slot. I also wish there were a cover to protect the charging port from dirt. So far, no second-guessing; I made a great decision to purchase this phone.

I've been an Android guy since Cupcake or Donut. I got the first Droid device and liked it. I've had many Android devices since then, throigh various manufacters and their proprietary UIs. I owned Samsung Galaxy S8 before I bought this one. To be honest, I don't know that I'll ever get a non-Google device again (Nexus/Pixel/etc). The touch response is great, the screen is great, the camera is outstanding, the battery life is very good. The real win for me, however, is that it is plain old vanilla Android. It's not Samsung's TouchWiz or HTCs Sense. It's Android as Google wroge/intended it. There is no bloatware hamfisted into it. Excellent phone for those who like and excellent camera and native Android.
