I’m an Apple products user who took a chance on the Pixel. Perhaps I’ve been using iPhones too long to appreciate anything else. This phone just isn’t intuitive. I hardly ever use it, except to take photos.

I'm pretty ticked off about this phone. 15 days after my purchase it has some major malfunctions. I return to Best Buy where they tell me there is nothing they can do, it is now a warranty issue and I need to contact Google. Google requires me to mail in my phone before they send the replacement and then sends me a refurbished phone. I paid for a NEW phone 15 days earlier, but due to a manufacturers defect I now have a refurbished/used phone. I got ripped off.

Terrible phone, have regretted getting this phone since I got it. Now cannot use it as it constantly restarts which will no longer allow it to hold a charge because as long as it is on the charger the phone continues to restart. Will not let me go into safe mode or anything to even try to reboot it.

I had to send back for a replacement. The replacement is already having issues. It was a hassle to get the phone replaced. Neither google or Best Buy would take responsibility. They just kept pawning it off on the other until Google finally agreed.

Phone did not hold charge for more than 12 hours. It would not provide sounds for calls and notifications at times and would cause static-filled calls. I gave up on it after just a couple of weeks.

This year's pixel feels so much nicer. They glass, the size and the weight are all PERFECT! Camera beats last year's thanks to even better software. Not pink is somewhat mix of very light pink, biege and off white. I love it! Snapdragon 845 is smooth like butter and no bloat, just pure Android the way it should be. Smaller bezels this year yet they still got two very solid front facing speakers on it. A++ well done Google! That HTC investment was so worth it!

Project FI Capable from Best Buy!!!

    Posted .

Purchased the phone at BB without activating it with Verizon. Went home, removed the SIM card, THEN powered on for the first time and went through the setup process. This way you get zero Verizon bloatware :) Even though the Pixel 3 has an eSIM, it is pre-programmed from Verizon. As a result, a physical SIM needs to be ordered from your Project Fi account (SIM & shipping is free) and then installed into your Pixel 3 in order for you to have access to the Project Fi network. Just wanted to write this review because there have been some reviews on Google/etc saying that it's impossible to get an unlocked phone from Verizon. It's misleading, and Best Buy is an excellent place to purchase your Pixel 3 if you don't/can't wait for Google's procurement to catch up (current deliveries are 3-weeks away).

Amazing Camera, really makes taking pictures and videos fun. The phone itself is comfortable to hold and is an excellent phone. I switched from an iPhone, I do not regret the decision at all.

Great Phone with Mediocre Battery Life

Pros: *Samsung OLED display (XL) *Loud front facing speakers *Lag-free OS experience *Baked in Google Assistant Cons: *Expensive entry price *Poor use of the notch real estate *Only 4gb of RAM *Expensive proprietary wireless fast charger It is the phone that Google intended Android to be. I love the pure Android experience. Google Assistant is baked into this phone and is accessible with a squeeze. It's the most accurate voice assistant to this day and I value that in the phone. The screen and speakers are above-average and is perfect for media consumption. If it wasn't for the Apple-like pricing scheme and average battery life then I would recommend this phone for anyone.

I had to get a phone after my iPhone6s was destroyed. At first the phone was awesome. Everything worked good. Then the speakerphone went out. No one can hear me when speakerphone is activated. I waited for the next software update and still the speakerphone is junk. I contacted Google and they wanted me to send in my phone. That is not an option for me. So they told me to go to best buy. I have the Geek Squad protection which is an absolute waste of money. They would not replace my phone even though it was only a month after purchase that I started experiencing the problem. They wanted a 200.00 deductible first. The only thing good about this phone is the camera. I love the camera. I hope google steps up their game a little bit because the quality of calls and reception is poor. I am also told people call me all the time and my phone just goes to voicemail. I look on the call log and never see a missed call so Im not sure of the issue there. Oh and my screen has already cracked. I have the Goggle brand case on it-the only one available for the phone at my local best buy.

    A very good phone

I switched from a Galaxy S6 Active to the Pixel 3. Both phones are good. The Pixel 3 has some differences that you might want to be aware of. Some good things: Can swipe home button to right to switch between most recent 2 apps. Call screening. Night sight photos. Unlimited photo storage. No Bixby or bloatware. (at least on the unlocked version) Some annoyances: App labels cut off at 1 row. Notifications delayed when screen is locked. No LED notification light. Notifications are on the dimly lit ambient display. If ambient display turned off, then there’s no visible notification at all; need to double-tap screen to see it. Shows weather next to date, but it’s mysteriously absent at times. Contact list doesn’t have A-Z index, so you have to do a lot of scrolling. Proprietary fast chargers. No fast motion/timelapse, but can get an app for it.

Impressive camera, glad to finally see wireless charging in a Google phone, but too buggy - not ready for prime time. Not sure if it's the new Android "Pie" that's screwed up, or the phone itself, but the Bluetooth stack is especially jacked. Also, it turns out Best Buy & Google think it's ok to tell someone who just laid out all that money for a broken phone that they will only replace defective units if the customer is willing to spend over 2 weeks w/out a phone in the process. Reasonable? Customer service?

Much better than the iPhone but only has one flaw

This phone is amazing. It's so much better then the iphone. I'm so glad I switched over. I'm so happy with this phone with everything except one flaw. When I got rid of the iPhone I was really hoping I would have a phone that had longer battery life. It doesn't go down as fast as my iPhone did but the battery life on this phone does go down alittle fast. I have to at least charge it like 2 times a day. And I don't really like that. The only thing I recommend to changing this phone is making it's battery life longer otherwise beautiful and perfect phone! Never been happier!
