I gave 4 stars to this device only because it is a little difficult to use all the capabilities. I would suggest that the phone comes with a pre loaded video on how to use the phone to the max.

I upgraded from a 3 year old Droid Turbo 2, and so far the Pixel 3 is refreshingly great. Battery Life: The first few days I was disappointed in the battery life. I was expecting the smaller battery with the more efficient Pixel phone to be better than a 3 year old Turbo 2 (even though those phones had huge batteries), and it was about the same or a little worse (about a day of use). But, after having the adaptive battery setting on for a little over a week, the battery life has gotten better every charge, and is up to 40 hours on a single charge. Build: The Turbo 2 was an indestructible tank of a phone. I never had a case or screen protector on it. I dropped it many times and it was still working great for me after 3 years. With the Pixel 3, it definitely feels like a quality phone. But, being all glass, this phone will obviously need more protection. The glass back is a little slick with the rounded corners. I plan to take better care of this phone, and have a case from Carved that has a nice grippy edge so I don't drop the phone on accident. Display: I went with the smaller phone for 2 main reasons: 1. I prefer the small form factor because it's more comfortable in my pocket and my hand, and 2. The notch on the XL. I'm more old fashioned and don't like the notches - they seem like a useless feature. But, the screen on the Pixel 3 is great. I like the 18:9 aspect ratio, the rounded corners, the brightness range (from almost off to blindingly bright), and everything about it. I may miss the "shatterproof" screen from the Turbo 2, but this is a much nicer screen. Performance: smooth, fast, snappy. Has some RAM management issues, but Google announced an update to fix that in December 2018. Camera: Probably the reason most people will get this phone. I haven't been able to put it through the wringer yet, but it is pretty great. Night sight is some sort of sorcery. Top shot, Google lens, the wide angle selfie camera, and unlimited photo storage are all great features. This phone camera can almost compete with my Nikon DSLR... ALMOST. I'll always take a high quality DSLR over a phone for pictures. But having a camera like the Pixel 3 in your pocket all the time is pretty awesome. Other things: Android 9 Pie is really nice. I almost immediately got used to the "gesture" navigation and prefer it now. The speakers sound amazing. I'll still use my bluetooth speakers for listening to music around the house, but they make watching videos great. i haven't missed the headphone jack yet, and the included Pixel buds will probably be just fine for my needs. Finger print reader is in a very natural place, is very accurate and fast. I got my Pixel 3 for $200 off and it was well worth it. It's a great overall phone.

I spent way too long researching phones recently, but always kept coming back to the Pixel 3 as the one that would be my next. My hesitancy was over the numerous quality concerns/bugs that were reported all over the internet. So I figured I'd just weigh in to say I'm incredibly happy with this phone and so far haven't experienced anything that would make me regret my purchase. I've had the phone for a month and a half and perhaps the December and January updates fixed a lot of the problems that the people who bought on release were experiencing. I'm not sure, but seriously - I love this phone. It's as fast and nimble as any I've used, the camera delivers on expectations again and again, and the "pure" Android experience really is very satisfying. I'm coming from a Galaxy S7 and simply not having all those Samsung and carrier apps pre-installed does indeed make a difference. I thought I would miss having an SD card option and worried that 64 GB would not be enough. I was wrong. It's plenty of space (I've barely scratched 40%) and I don't have to deal with constantly moving apps back to the SD card every single time they're updated because I don't have space. My app drawer only has the apps I actually use and wanted in the first place. What a concept! I'll say this: my wife's S9 is a little wider and feels better in my hand than the Pixel 3. There's definitely more screen real estate on that one, as well. But neither thing would make me switch. The Pixel is easy to use one handed and fits in a pants pocket. Oh and this is my first phone without a headphone jack. I don't really miss it. Still seems unnecessary, but at least the Pixel comes with USB-C earbuds in the box and they're actually pretty cool. Google Assistant is baked right in, meaning you can listen to your notifications as they come in simply by pressing a button on the headphone cord. Neat. Last thing: wait for a sale. $800 or whatever they cost at full-price still seems ridiculous to me for just about ANY phone. But it's frequently on sale and at $500 I don't know what could possibly beat this phone.

The Google Pixel 3 is without a doubt the best phone I've ever owned! I love the size, the color on the screen is beautiful, takes super great pictures, is lightweight. I would suggest a good phone case to protect it. It is quite slick to hold. I really like the selection of notification sounds available. The speakers are good quality & their placement means better sound. The processor makes for quick response time & fluid movement between screens, apps & any function you choose. I have always owned Motorola phones but last year decided to try a Samsung S7 which after a few months i totally hated. The Android operating system is easy to figure out & get used to. The battery life is awesome, i get about a day & 1/2 out of it with a lot of texting/messaging & internet use although i do not use it for work much. The Pixel 3 is an excellent choice, you won't be disappointed !

I've had phone for over a year and it's one of my favorite I've ever owned. I strongly believe this is an 80% phone meaning it's designed to meet 80% of the market needs. Tech reviewers complained about ONLY 4GB ram, never needed more. They complained about ONLY having a 2915mAh battery, never needed more. I would say if you are one to need these specs, maybe look at other more expensive phones. Otherwise if you are looking for a phone that just works, is intuitive, and has many newer modern features like USB c, fast charging, wireless charging, beautiful display, and simple minimalist look, give this phone a hard look. Common complaints: Cost. These things are always on sale and worth the sale cost. At full MSRP, I agree it's not worth it over the other flagships. Not enough RAM. If you are gaming while watching YouTube and video editing, sorry this is not your phone. This phone is perfect for the 80% that just want to text, surf internet, check out YouTube or Facebook, etc. Battery life. I've had this thing for over a year. I hardly ever fast charge. In fact I use aftermarket wireless charger that takes hours to full charge. No issues. I get about 5-6 hrs of on screen time still mostly YouTube and internet over WiFi. Fast charger is very good for times where I over use. 20 mins will give me about 40% which is usually enough. Major benefits: Camera. Yes it's that good. The selfie wide angle is surprising useful and awesome. Not sure if Google still does this, but for a time we get unlimited Google photos storage at full resolution. If you value a good camera (one of the best in this price point) and no worries backup, this phone has it. Repairability. My wife has the XL. She broke her back glass. Went to you break I fix next day and it was repaired for under $100. This phone is very repairable which is not something people often think about. Screen replacement isn't much more. Sorry never broke my 3 yet but I'm sure they are similar. I've dropped it a few times on concrete and nothing. I have the Google case on it so maybe that helped. Stock Android. This was a welcome after having a Galaxy. Loved the specs on the Samsung but the bloatware is seriously out of control. Wife went from an iPhone since she was sick of apple support and loves the features she was missing. I can still go on but if you reading this considering this phone, you can't go wrong. If you are an average smartphone user looking for a solid reliable product that works well with Google services and has one of the best cameras with autosync to Google photos, this is your phone. I've had it over a year, and will probably have it 2 more years depending on the next round of pixels and deals.

I upgraded from the 1st Gen Pixel. The Good: Waterproof Camera is amazing Google assistant is awesome Fast, plenty of storage Great hardware Fantastic software Blazing fast Wireless charging The Bad: The battery doesn't last near as long as Google claims. No good options for cases yet. Even though it's waterproof I'd prefer to find a better case than the OtterBox. No aux port.

Switched from a Note 5 and was initially a little reluctant to give up the S-pen, stellar performance, and larger display for the smaller Pixel 3. I could have got the Pixel 3 XL, but I don't like the notch. Having used the Pixel 3 for about a month now I must say it's really a fun little phone. I've found the smaller size to be refreshing. It's not got as high of specs as many other high end phones out there, but performance has been great so far. Initial setup was straightforward. Make sure to install all the most recent updates. I did have one issue with the Google Feed after the last of the initial updates, but I just uninstalled the update for that app specifically and it worked just fine. The next time the app was updated everything continued to work fine. Battery life has been good. I'm not a gamer, nor do I regularly stream videos, but I do use the phone for work to make calls and send texts and emails. I also use the web and other apps at home. With that usage I typically only need to charge the phone two times a week. Pretty impressive to me. If the Pixel 3 will continue to perform this good for as long as my Note 5 did, and if Google delivers on the promised OS support, this phone may become my new favorite.

I upgraded to the PIxel 3 from the PIxel 1 XL. I won't comment about the camera since that's the main focus point of nearly every review out there, and I don't think I can say much that others haven't already said. :P I've only had the phone for about a week now, but so far these are the things - some very small things - that I am particularly liking since upgrading: The smaller form factor and overall premium build quality feeling: • Coming from the Pixel XL, the smaller size of the Pixel 3 is a fun change of scenery. The screen is still plenty large, and while I liked the larger Pixel XL just fine, I really like the compact-ness of the Pixel 3 and it feels great in the hand. The rounded screen edges: • Pixel 2 owners will already be familiar with the rounded screen, but the original Pixels had the sharp squared screens, so coming from that to the rounded-edge design of the Pixel 3 screens is neat, and I really like the way it looks. Software upgrades and differences: • Some of these, like the point above, were there for the Pixel 2s but not the original Pixels. For example, always-on screen mode is awesome. Call screening is super cool too, and I look forward to being able to try that out for myself more in the future. Pixel earbuds included in the box: • Small point here, but I think it's cool that the earbuds were included in the box with the PIxel 3s. They fit extremely well with the loop-earpiece design, and the integration with the assistant is something I'm looking forward to using more. -- I know that this is a fairly lopsided review lol, but I honestly am really enjoying it so far and don't have any gripes or complaints (yet). Of course, nothing is perfect, and I haven't had it for a terribly long time yet, but so far it's a solid upgrade from the Pixel 1 XL.

I am a dedicated Android user and a photographer so when my Motto Z Force started to break down, the Pixel became one of the obvious contenders. If Motorola continued the Force level of the Z line phone, I would have stayed with that without a second thought. The Galaxy 10 was the other competitor. I liked the lower price of the Pixel 3 especially since it has the same same high camera quality as the XL. After having large phones for a long time, its small size became a positive. Nice to be able to work on a phone with one hand and easily side it into a pocket. As a negative, I do not like its lack of manual controls for its camera. This was a huge plus for my Z, and I thought about moving to the Galaxy because of this. But the much smaller size and lower price of the 3 overcame this negative (though caused a loss of a point in my score). I am also very impressed with the quality of the selfies I am getting from it. Far better than the Z's. I am having none of the glitches I have seen reported. All apps work quickly and well. Battery life has been good. One of the pros of the Z line is the ability to use a battery mod to extend battery life. So, I bought a case that doubles as a charger. I am very pleased so far. I have had it for a short time. How long it works at this level is an important unknown and will help determine whether I get a Pixel next time around.

I bought this phone as Christmas Gift for my son. It was at his request and I am writing this review from my observations of him using it and what he has told me. The battery life is amazing and is far superior to his last phone. He only has to charge it every couple of days. The camera quality is of the charts. Hands down some the most vibrant pictures I have ever seen. He is using it with the Google wireless charger and the two work flawlessly together. My son constantly has it with him, and he highly recommends it. If you are looking for a high quality Android phone, I don't think you will be disappointed with it!

I was replacing a Galaxy S4 and torn between the Pixel 3 and Galaxy S9, both rated very well. The curved screen on the Galaxy S9 is similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge which is a nuisance finding a screen protector for that doesn't interfere with touch sensitivity. That convinced me to purchase this Pixel 3. Because the old and new phone were both Android, the transfer of data, including apps, went very smoothly. My text messages were moved but the photos within the texts did not transfer. The camera has a number of interesting features and seems to work well. One complaint so far is that there is only one volume for both the ringer and text notification. They were separate on my old phone, I could keep the ringer loud and the text sound softer so as not to be annoying. Online searching indicates I will need to download a third party app to separate them again. It charges very quickly and lasts longer than my old phone.

The Pixel 3 exceeds my expectations of a high-quality phone. The camera and screen are excellent and processing is fast. I am switching from a larger Nexus 6P to the smaller Pixel 3 intentionally for easier 1-hand operation and carry. I increased the font size larger than the default which is especially helpful at night when my eyes are tired. Battery life is excellent now at the start of service. I prefer to stay in the migration path to allow timely version and security upgrades. Also, I think Pixels will have access to new Google apps/features sooner than other phones. Best Buy/Verizon sale price was even better than Google sale price but committed me to Verizon for 2 more years (or buyout). No problem since Verizon has treated me well for 20 years and is the best provider/coverage in my region.

I will start off by saying that I love this phone. I've been a fan of the Google Android experience ever since the Nexus phones and have generally stuck with those despite their shortcomings. I previously owned the Pixel 2 XL prior to the Pixel 3 and while the Pixel 3 isn't as dramatic an upgrade as I hoped it would be, it fixed pretty much all of the problems I had with the 2 XL. I really like the look and feel of the Pixel 3. The design has this simple understated look that I appreciate and the mint green power button adds a nice accent. It feels like it’s put together better than my previous Pixel too; the different pieces all blend together nicely and the buttons are nice and clicky. The screen and speakers are much improved. The screen is so much better than the 2 XL’s. That isn’t saying a lot on its own given the issues that screen had, but really does look great in general. The OLED is bright and colorful and I don’t have any problems seeing the screen on sunny days. The iPhone XS and probably the Galaxy phones still get the slight edge with their screens, but unless you’re holding them up side-by-side I don’t think the difference is noticeable. The speakers are louder, but more importantly the sound is clearer. Music actually sounds pretty good just coming out of the phone’s speakers. It’s not like $100 Bluetooth speaker good, but you could probably throw your $30 one away. The experience of using the phone is as great as it’s always been. It’s fast and besides a Verizon app that can be easily uninstalled completely free of carrier bloat. I’ve always preferred Nexus and Pixel phones because they offer the ‘purest’ Android experience and reassurance that you won’t have to wait 6 months to never to get the latest version of Android. The Pixel phones do deviate from the ‘pure’ Android experience a bit, but the the specific features built-in for Pixels are all useful and well integrated. The camera is just as great as the previous Pixel phones have been too. The amount of detail and quality it’s able to capture is just incredible. I wouldn’t call the camera a huge leap forward from my Pixel 2 XL, but it’s definitely better. Most of the improvements have been made in the software. The automated tracking I like especially - tapping to focus on something will lock the focus on that object even as you move the phone around. It works on photos and videos and not having to constantly be tapping on the screen to make sure I’m in focus is great. Top Shot I also really like, which takes saves a stream of photos when it detects the one you’ve taken might not be the best, so you can nail those jumping shots without having to take the same picture for 5 minutes. Battery life for me has been okay. It gets me to the end of the day for sure, but if I’m going out again I do feel like I have to charge it. It’s the only part of the phone that feels worse than my 2 XL, but having a smaller phone also means having a smaller battery, so I knew I was making that trade going in. Fortunately, the USB-C charger that’s included charges VERY fast and I’ve found leaving it on the charger for 10 or 15 minutes gives me more than enough to get through whatever else I’m doing. Some miscellaneous items: There’s still no headphone jack, but I guess that’s just the way things are going now. Google is still including the 3.5mm adapter at least. I’ve got a couple of pairs of Bluetooth headphones that I really enjoy and am pretty much onboard the wireless train. The box actually includes a pair of wired USB-C earbuds this time and I think they’re pretty good; I’ll be sticking with what I already have, but you could do a lot worse than these. I’ve read problems with the glass on the back scratching, but I have not experienced that at all so far on mine (though I do have it in a case most of the time). I don’t regret upgrading my phone to the Pixel 3, but besides the improvements to the screen and the camera it doesn’t feel that different than my 2 XL. I still think it’s a great phone and it’s the only Android phone I would recommend for most people, but if you’ve already got the Pixel 2 or 2 XL it might be worth thinking about if you really want to upgrade this time around.

This is by far the best phone that I have ever owned. The price, simplicity, design, battery, speed and camera are what makes it outstanding. Yah I could spend $1500 for a top of the line phone that could probably take better pictures have a little faster response time however it wouldn't be worth the extra cost. I have owned this phone for over 1.5 years and haven't encountered a single issue. The battery holds a charge as if I just took it out of the box. I will be keeping this phone as long as I can and will be sure to buy Google in the future.

I'm upgrading from the OG pixel. Hands down you guys performance is felt off the bat while using the phone. Extremely smooth processing throughout my apps and internet. Wireless capabilities is a huge plus for me and very happy with the must needed upgrade feature. Camera is better especially the front camera that dual camera really does give you a wider better angle. Night features on the camera is pretty stunning I was blown away. I'm currently using the Google pixel fabric case and still the phone is light and looking real good. Now my only gripe or con that idk how I really feel is the speakers at full volume yes it is hands down the loudest producing speakers on a phone I've ever heard. But the dual front mounted speakers vibrate so much it almost distortes the quality and the vibration is crazy in the hands it's almost uncomfortable. Now the Google pixel fabric case helps very little but it does help barely softening up the vibration. But yes those speakers are very loud and quality is ok. Overall I've been using it for a week now and I'm happy still learning to use this special Google features it's taking me time but I think Google is heading a great direction Google assistant really has blown me away over the years and on this pixel 3 generation I am not disappointed. Would recommend greatly especially compared to these other flagship phones I don't think you can go wrong in the price.

I had Motorola phones for the past 3-4 years and came to appreciate the "slim-down" Android experience. My last Moto phone experience wasn't great though and I needed a new phone. I didn't want to switch over and learn Apple OS, and I didn't want all of Samsung's "add-on" ecosystem to Android. The Pixel 3 is perfect for me. I am not a power user, and primarily use my phone for apps, social and pictures. The Pixel 3 camera is superb, I still haven't scratched all the features, and the picture quality is really terrific. The Night Sight feature is unbelievable how it can extract accurate colors and detail in low light. The phone seems very fast and responsive to me. Power users may complain of the 64GB but that will be more than enough for me. The Call Screening AI feature alone is worth the price of the phone, considering how awful spam calls are getting. When I get MY robot to answer THEIR robocall, it just fills me with fiendish glee. I am very happy with my purchase.

Can't get much better than the pixel 3. Camera quality is amazeballs and the screen is underrated. I end up watching videos/highlights on here more than I should considering I have multiple monitors, a laptop and a 55 inch 4K TV. Battery life is decent and charges fairly quick. The only CON is how ugly you will realize you are from the quality of the front face cameras... and how ugly you will realize your jumpshot is when you record yourself playing pick up basketball. 10 outta 10 ReKoMeN!

I love this phone! The camera is amazing and the features on the camera are great. I really like the fingerprint scanner being on the back of the phone - it's more convenient when I'm picking it up to unlock it. The google assistant is awesome. My husband bought the same phone, so when we send texts, it gives the ... bubble indicating he's texting and I can tell when he read them. The phone has night mode the pulls out the blue light so that it doesn't keep you as awake when you are winding down. You can even tell the Google Assistant to go in to wind-down mode. There is a setting for Digital Wellbeing that displays time on apps and you can set limits on apps. The battery life has been amazing as well. I've gotten at least 36 hours on every charge so far - I've owned it for about 9 days. There is also a battery saving mode when it hits 15% and the phone will tell you the approximate time that it will die based on your current usage. The only negatives I can mention is that it uses USB-C ports, rather than micro-USB. So I had to buy a bunch of new cables to charge my phone at home, work, car. And the headphones use the same port as charging, so you can't charge and have headphones plugged in at the same time. Also, it does not have expandable memory. So you'll just have to transfer pics and videos off more frequently.

I've been a Pixel user since the first OG Pixel. I moved back down to the Pixel 3 size after getting the Pixel 2 XL. What's there that needs to be said about a Pixel phone? Lightning fast performance, camera that is unparalleled and finally a screen that does this phone price justice. The wireless charging is also a nice addition. However, moving from a Pixel 2 XL to this phone has shown that the smaller phone factor comes at a price, namely battery life, that seems to be just average.

I got my Pixel as a replacement work phone as my daughter took my Apple X. With the phone at $300 off the value is great. I tested out the camera I read so much about. The extra features are more hit than miss but the Night Sight was unbelievable. Took some shots at Disney World and my friends and colleagues could not get over the quality of the pictures at night. I use the phone primarily for work and it's the perfect phone for what I need to do. It's fast. The quick security updates are great. Hooks up with my company's systems no problem. There is a robocall scammer function built into the Pixel which is wonderful as I can screen calls. Now as a daily driver/every day phone for personal use that I'm not sure about. The memory is fixed like an iPhone but the storage options is limited. So if I were to go on a trip and wanted to store a bunch of movies for me and the kids locally then I can run into memory issues. Also as much as the headphone jack is slowly dying out the sound quality is much better than bluetooth. Listen to an LG phone with its quad-dac and you'll hear the difference. Overall would I recommend the phone? Absolutely but realize there are its limitations.
