Pros: Fantastic display and cameras. Smaller size is nice in a sea of mega phones. Physical design is very sleek. Call screening and other similar Pixel features are invaluable. Officially-sanctioned repair parts and guides are available on ifixit.com. Cons: Average battery life. Occasional performance issues and bugs. More susceptible to heat than Snapdragon phones, causing reduced performance and slower charging in the summer months. Conclusion: A great phone for Google-philes, mobile photographers, and/or tech enthusiasts who like to repair their own devices. Not for those who need rock solid battery life or the highest performance available.

I recently picked up the Google Pixel 8 Unlocked Obsidian from Best Buy on February 26, 2025, and I wanted to share my experience. Design: The phone has a sleek, compact design that feels great in hand. Display: The 120Hz OLED screen is bright and vibrant, making everything look fantastic. Camera: The AI-powered camera is amazing with features like Best Take and Magic Editor. It performs well in all lighting conditions. Performance: The Tensor G3 chip ensures smooth performance for everyday tasks. It’s not the fastest, but it gets the job done. Battery: The improved battery life lasts me a full day. Software: Google promises seven years of updates, which is a big plus. Price: i got it for a $399 value, and its features make it worth it. Overall, the Pixel 8 is a great midrange phone with excellent camera features and long-term support.

Every works well so, only had the phone a few weeks. Long battery life, smaller than the pixel 7 which i like and takes amazing photos. Tried the face switching feature and was really happy with it, super cool to get that good photo you're always trying for. Wish I could ha e gotten the blue color but all out at my Best Buy.

Great camera, battery life, display, and features. However, given that they made magic editor their USP and are now making it available even on Google photos, I don’t understand what differentiates the product anymore. Moreover, the body isn’t as sleek as an iPhone.

I upgraded from the Pixel 7 to the Pixel 8. I love the slightly smaller overall size, the much improved screen brightness, 120hz refresh rate, the upgraded camera features, the AI features are helpful and fun throughout, and I have been getting all-day battery life. Although I wasn't sure about upgrading from the 7 to the 8, I am very happy that I did. Best Buy made the purchase and trade in experience simple and easy.

This phone is very fast. It takes good pictures.i like having all of my Google features easily accessible. I've recommended this phone to friends and family. The egg picture was taken with this phone and the drink picture is from a Motorola razr flip. If nice looking photos are important to you this phone is an excellent choice

I love the look and feel of this phone. I got this phone during the holiday sales and the price was right. The photo camera is my favorite feature. Colors are great and so sharp. The display is beautiful. Gets really bright even with a tinted screen protector. The Google assistant call screen feature is legit! I rarely get a spam call now:) The only drawback is the charging speeds are pretty slow and the battery drains pretty quick. I had to turn off the always on smooth display and that helped some but could be better. I would give rhis phone 4.5 out of 5 if I could. The battery life was my only drawback.

Probably the best android phone out there, the new tensor chip does a good job in making the daily use of the phone smooth. The AI capabilities of Google are just wow, it does take time but really beautiful results! The camera is outstanding as expected, could have done a better job in zoom feature/lens. The battery level could have been better, it lasts for about 7/8hrs with continuous usuage. Pixel again delivers!

Last Pixel before the big AI push. It's a great phone and it should work well many years to come, but it will likely be my last Pixel with how bad Google has gotten about privacy

Notification shade follows dark mode setting, but the quick settings do not. It gives a disconnected feel to the interface when part of it does not react to a system-wide setting. The quick setting toggles are comically large. The thing that irritates me the most about apples control center is that the wifi and bluetooth do not actually toggle off wifi and bluetooth, which is by design i know. It keeps everything apple running smoothly “like magic”. But i know when one thing or anothe needs wifi, but google takes this a step further in the wrong direction and combines wifi and cellular toggles into one just called “internet”. You have to tap to open another pop up menu, then toggle wifi off/on. In the settings app, its just confusing. It seems like every android device has their own unique issue with android auto. oneplus would connect but give an error saying there are no compatible apps, but if you unplug then plug back in it would be fine, samsung liked to completely glitch out the screen visually, google will just disconnect entirely and at random. And ive been using the same USB C cable with my iphone 15 pro so its not the cable, carplay does not fail like this (it irritates me in other ways but thats another review). one issue im not sure is the phone or the network but i tried scheduling support calls on a slow day and it goes straight to voicemail. Ive checked that all spam blocking settings are off but i watched a voicemail and missed call pop up with the phone never ringing. I called myself from another phone and it rang, i dont know what happened there. Otherwise, and for somebody who doesnt nitpick, its a great phone. Smooth, plenty of neat features to play with, cameras are top tier. Maybe i just like samsungs OneUI, i really enjoyed the last version of touchwiz before they scrapped it and switched to OneUI but this latest version is pretty polished, its getting better as it goes where apple seems to be going straight off a cliff with intent and googles ok for now but theyre watching apple fail thinking “that looks like fun we should try it”.

I really liked this phone and especially it's user friendly interface, sleek design, quality display.Especially it's Google support function and it's responsiveness to detect auto spams calls make it more worthy for a professional like me who is not a tech guy at all.Only one area of improvemnet is display size of touch screen keyboard which I am sure is much better in pixel 8 pro. In same price range it's a great option except the charger :).It's an area of improvemnet otherwise battery life is low and charging time high if you buy any charger from local market as company doesn't specify any specific charger

I got the open box "Good" condition one. But it's more of an "Excellent" condition piece. No physical damages, signs of used, display, cameras are great.looks and feels like brand new. The only issue is the most common issue for all pixels, the battery life. 5-6 hours screen time. The best camera I've ever experienced.
