I have used it throughly and I would like you guys to know something about pixel 9.
Design & Build Quality:
Sleek and Modern: The Pixel 9 feels premium in hand with its sleek design and matte finish. The size is just right, fitting comfortably in my hand without feeling bulky.
Durable Construction: The build quality is impressive, with Gorilla Glass Victus protecting the screen and a metal frame that feels sturdy. I've accidentally dropped it once, and it survived without a scratch.
Display:
Vibrant and Sharp: The 6.4-inch OLED display is stunning, with vibrant colors and deep blacks. Watching videos and playing games on this screen is a treat.
Smooth Scrolling: The 120Hz refresh rate makes everything feel incredibly smooth, from scrolling through social media to switching between apps.
Performance:
Snappy and Responsive: Powered by the latest Google Tensor G3 chip, the Pixel 9 handles everything I throw at it with ease. Whether it's multitasking, gaming, or running heavy apps, I haven’t noticed any lag.
AI Enhancements: The AI-driven features, like real-time translation and voice typing, work flawlessly and genuinely make daily tasks easier.
Camera:
Outstanding Photography: The Pixel 9 continues Google's legacy of stellar cameras. The 50MP main sensor captures detailed and vibrant photos in almost any lighting condition. I’m particularly impressed with the Night Sight mode—low-light photos come out clear and bright.
Pro-Level Editing: The new Magic Eraser tool is a game-changer for editing photos. Removing unwanted objects from pictures is surprisingly easy and seamless.
Video Capabilities: The 4K video recording is sharp and smooth, and the stabilization works great for handheld shots. It’s perfect for capturing memories on the go.
Battery Life:
All-Day Battery: The battery life is solid, easily lasting me a full day with moderate to heavy use. I appreciate that I don’t have to constantly worry about charging it.
Fast Charging: The 30W fast charging is convenient, giving me about 50% charge in just 30 minutes. It’s saved me on more than one occasion when I needed to quickly top up before heading out.
Software Experience:
Pure Android Experience: As expected from a Pixel device, the software is clean, intuitive, and bloat-free. Android 14 feels polished, and the integration of Google services is seamless.
Regular Updates: I love knowing that I’m among the first to receive Android updates and security patches. It’s reassuring to have the latest features and protections.
Special Features:
Face Unlock & Fingerprint Scanner: The dual biometric options work quickly and reliably. I find myself using Face Unlock most of the time because it’s so fast.
Improved Voice Assistant: Google Assistant is more responsive and capable than ever. I use it daily for reminders, quick searches, and controlling smart home devices.
Audio:
Clear and Loud: The stereo speakers deliver crisp sound with decent bass. They’re great for watching videos or listening to music without headphones.
Headphone Jack Absence: The lack of a headphone jack is a minor inconvenience, but the included USB-C earbuds are of good quality.
Connectivity:
5G Performance: 5G speeds are impressive, making downloads and streaming super fast. It’s a noticeable upgrade from 4G, especially in areas with strong 5G coverage.
Reliable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: I haven’t experienced any issues with connectivity, whether using Wi-Fi at home or pairing with Bluetooth devices.
Value for Money:
Worth the Investment: While the Pixel 9 is priced as a premium device, I feel it’s worth every penny for the features and experience it offers. It’s a flagship phone that truly delivers on all fronts.
Conclusion:
A Joy to Use: The Google Pixel 9 is a well-rounded smartphone that excels in almost every aspect. It’s a joy to use daily, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier Android phone. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or just someone who appreciates a great user experience, the Pixel 9 won’t disappoint.

I've now had the Pixel 9 Pro 256GB for a fortnight or so, and I'm thoroughly impressed. The general performance is smooth and snappy, and the new Tensor chip just deals with the multitasking, gaming, and taking snaps with ease. The 256GB storage gives me plenty of space for apps, videos, and photographs without having to fear running out.
The camera array is among the highlights — crisp details, correct colors, and beautiful low-light shots. Google's software sorcery with capabilities like Magic Eraser and Real Tone continues to be mind-boggling. Battery life is well more than enough to get through a day with heavy to moderate use, and charging speed is respectable.
The screen is gorgeous — vibrant, colorful, and silky smooth due to the high refresh rate. Android 14 is smooth with helpful AI-driven features and timely updates straight from Google.
I can genuinely think of nothing I dislike about this phone so far. It's top-of-the-line, elegant, and does everything right.

Upgrading to the Google Pixel 9 from my Pixel 7 felt like a natural progression, and purchasing it through Best Buy was seamless as always. Right out of the box, the familiar yet refined design felt comfortable in hand. The Obsidian finish looks sleek, and the build quality is reassuringly premium.
The camera remains the star of the show. The improvements to the ultrawide lens are immediately noticeable, capturing expansive scenes with impressive detail and that fantastic macro capability. Snapping photos is still a joy, with Google’s computational photography consistently delivering stunning results, even in challenging lighting. While I still wish for a dedicated telephoto lens, the Super Res Zoom holds its own for most situations.
Performance-wise, the Tensor G4 chip is a noticeable step up. Apps launch instantly, multitasking is fluid, and even graphically intensive games run smoothly. Battery life has also seen a welcome improvement, easily getting me through a full day without needing to hunt for a charger.
The clean Android 15 experience is, as always, a breath of fresh air. No unnecessary bloatware, just a smooth, intuitive interface with timely updates. The new AI features, like the enhanced Gemini integration, feel genuinely useful and are becoming increasingly integrated into my daily workflow.
While the design isn't a major overhaul, the subtle refinements and the impressive internal upgrades make the Pixel 9 a worthy successor. Best Buy’s knowledgeable staff made the pre-order and pickup process effortless. If you're looking for a top-tier Android experience with an exceptional camera and smart AI features, the Pixel 9 is a strong contender. Just be mindful that you'll need to factor in the cost of a separate charging brick. Overall, I'm thrilled with my purchase

The Pixel 9 doesn’t scream innovation—it whispers brilliance. Its camera is eerily good, editing photos like magic. The Tensor G4 chip makes everything feel intuitive, fast, and quietly powerful. Battery life is strong, the design feels premium, and Google’s AI isn’t just smart—it’s helpful without being invasive. It’s more than a phone; it’s a thoughtful companion. The Pixel 9 doesn’t just keep up—it understands you.

I got this via the Best Buy promotion, and I wish I waited on another phone that wasn't a Pixel. The phone still gets warm quickly, it takes almost two hours to fully charge, the phone is so small and it looks like an iPhone. The AI capabilities aren't all that, and the battery hardly gets you through the day. Lastly, the speakers aren't that loud, the speeds aren't great, the phone isn't snappy like it should be, and there's some glitch when you rotate the phone. Nothing has really improved with these pixel phones and this may be my last one. Thumbs down.

This phone is far snappier than expected. The battery life is very good for such a small device but, of course it is, it has a 4700mah battery crammed into it. The cameras seem to be pretty good from the dozen or so photos I have taken with it. My only sticking point is the price for what you are getting, and the screen. First the price. It is well known you can get a far more capable phone for the same, or less money. Second. The screen on this device is really average in my opinion. With the advent of these newer screens, richness of colors, etc. This just does not hold up. It looks great when the brightness is turned up but in dimmer environments it just loses all its clarity and color. They could really have squeezed even better battery life out of this thing by giving it a 1-120hz screen instead of the 60-120hz it sells at. The AI stuff is just like the VR thing a couple of years ago. Manufacturers thought everyone wanted VR. They were wrong. Now they think everyone has to have AI. I would have to guess that, like me, after the you use the Magic Tricks a couple of times, you rarely use them again. If this was a $599-699 phone, it would be a slam dunk but at the current price point, I would advise shopping around a bit more.

I picked up the Pixel 9 for my wife, and it’s been a solid win. What stands out right away is the ease of use—this phone is incredibly intuitive, even for someone who doesn’t want to dig deep into tech features. The setup was quick, the interface is clean, and everything just works the way you’d expect.
The camera quality is excellent. She’s not a power user or a professional photographer, but the Pixel 9 makes it easy to take consistently great photos with minimal effort. From casual snapshots to family photos, everything looks sharp and vibrant right out of the camera.
While the Pixel 9 comes packed with AI features, most of those aren’t being used right now—and that’s okay. It still runs beautifully, feels fast and responsive, and delivers a premium experience without requiring you to dive into the bells and whistles.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for a phone that’s powerful yet accessible, the Pixel 9 is a perfect balance. My wife loves it, and it’s been a great upgrade without being overwhelming.

Replaced a Samsung A52. I have always had Samsung phones. This is my 1st Pixel. The battery life is not as long. I have not been on my phone all day and the battery is at 20%. This could be a setting (that I'm not aware of, because I've been through them all). The phone itself seems more durable. System runs smoothly with biometrics and texting/auto correct. Not as many personalization options as android. Takes really nice pictures. Overall, worth the switch. I do NOT like Google photos, as the storage runs out and it tries to make you pay for more. That's a 1st for me. Usually, video/photos use phone storage. I cannot figure out how to get them to save to the device instead. It will stop emails if it gets too full too. Not happy with that feature.

The Pixel 9 in Obsidian has been a game changer for me. The screen is bright, smooth, and makes everything from streaming to scrolling look amazing. It handles multitasking with ease — apps open instantly and I haven’t felt any slowdown at all.
The cameras are where it really shines. Photos come out sharp and clear, even at night, and the editing tools are simple but powerful — it feels like having a mini photo studio in my pocket.
Battery easily lasts me through the day, and the phone itself feels solid and premium in the hand. I also like the sleek black finish — it matches with everything and looks super clean. Add in the promise of years of updates, and I feel confident this phone will hold up for a long time.
