My first Pixel buds, definitely a fan!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the money, these new Pixel Buds A-Series are hard to beat. The case is solid and small enough to fit into my 5th jean pocket. I also appreciate how slim these buds are while i'm wearing them. They do not stick out nearly as much as most other buds i've tried. They sit pretty flush to my ears, and I feel like they offer a sleeker appearance. Battery life has been as advertised, and the charging case seems to charge quickly with a USB-C cable. Setup was as simple as can be with my Pixel 5, and the options being built into the bluetooth menu is really convenient. I do not mind downloading a separate app, but it's nice to not have to for a chance. There is no active noise cancelling, but the passive noise isolation is solid. It's good enough to drown out my air conditioner and fan while sitting around the house. Sound quality is punchy and clear, though I did find them to be lacking a little in bass out of the box. There is a bass boost mode available in the settings, which definitely brought the sound quality up quite a bit for me. I would highly recommend these buds for anyone looking for a premium set, but is not necessarily worried about ANC or spending 2-3x the price.

Posted .Hi Evan, thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear about your disappointment with the noise cancellation feature for Pixel Buds A-Series. Although it doesn't come with this feature, the Adaptive Sound feature subtly and automatically optimizes volume based on the noise level of your environment. If you're moving from your quiet home or office to somewhere noisy like a city street, cafe, or subway, you’ll notice a subtle difference in your volume to adjust to the new level of outside noise. Adaptive Sound adjusts for sustained noise, rather than one-off background noise, to ensure a non-disruptive listening experience. Adaptive Sound on Google Pixel Buds is only available on Android and requires an Android 6.0+ device.

Posted .Hi Pickytechy, your feedback on your Pixel Buds A-Series is much appreciated. We're sorry to learn that you're having difficulties with suppressing noise when you go to the gym. If you haven't tried yet, we recommend that you enable the Adaptive Sound feature on your Pixel Buds A-Series. This will subtly and automatically optimize volume based on the noise level of your environment. To enable Adaptive Sound, simply follow these steps:
- On a Pixel phone with Android 10+: Go to Settings > and then Connected devices > and then Pixel Bud's settings.
- Other Androids: Open your Google Pixel Buds app.
- Tap Sound and then Adaptive Sound.
- Toggle Adaptive Sound.
If you already enabled Adaptive Sound and are still experiencing this issue, please contact our support specialists so we can check what we can do on our end to help improve your experience. You can reach us on our Google Help page here: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/gethelp

Not bad, but not the best
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They had a few problems that drove me to return them. First, they didn't immediately connect to my iPhone. I had to go to the phone and select them. Second, if I'd touch them, I'd hang up on a phone call. Third, they sounded slightly tinny to me. I couldn't find how to soften their sound. I went back to Apple AirPods.

Posted .Hi Nadz, thanks for sharing your experience. We regret to hear that you’re having issues with your Pixel Buds A-Series.
Here are some recommended steps you can try out to fix the sound quality of your Pixel Buds A-Series:
- Checking the placement of your phone, particularly in outdoor scenarios, may affect Bluetooth connection. You can improve the Bluetooth connection by changing the placement of the phone where the phone is held.
- Try reconnecting your A-Series to your source device (phone/laptop/tablet) by turning your Bluetooth off, then turn it back on and reconnect your A-Series.
- Check for possible sources of interference like microwave ovens, wireless speakers, baby monitors, Wi-Fi routers, and other wireless devices.
- Finally, you may also reset your Pixel Buds. Here's how: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/answer/9991816

Posted .Hi, AlexP! Thanks for sharing a review on the Pixel Buds A-Series. We're sorry to hear that it keeps falling out of your ear. Your Pixel Buds are pre-attached with medium eartips and come with small and large ear tips so that you can improve your fit. Ears are unique so your left ear may be different from your right ear. We recommend trying the different eartip sizes for each ear to find the best fit. A tight seal gives you better sound and mic performance. If you are not getting the audio or call quality you expect, try bigger eartips. To swap eartips, pull the attached eartip off and press the other eartip onto the earbud until you feel a light snap. Gently pull on the eartip to ensure that it's properly attached.

Posted .Hi Erik, thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your Pixel Buds A-Series fell short of meeting your expectations. We made a few focused tradeoffs to bring the same sound quality, design language, and Google helpfulness of Pixel Buds to this more affordable price, hence, the omission on some features. However, your A-Series comes with Adaptive Sound to adjust the volume based on your surroundings. You may also have the option to try out the new Google Pixel Buds Pro that does come with active Noise cancellation features. If you would like to learn more, or would like to speak to our support team, please do reach out to us here: https://support.google.com/googlepixelbuds/gethelp

Posted .Hi Mari, thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you're uncomfortable with the fitting of your Google Pixel Buds A-Series.
Your A-Series also comes with a stabilizer arc that works to ensure a gentle, but secure fit. We suggest gently inserting your earbud with the wingtip or stabilizer arc, and tucking it into each ear to provide a better fit. Slightly rotate it back and forth until it comfortably stays in place when you move your head or tap either earbud.
