Earbuds sound great and are super easy to pair with my Pixel 4 XL. Hold a charge and recharge quickly. Case is sleek and stylish. Built in Google assistant and touch controls work great. There are occasional dropouts of sound but doesn't last long. Google working on a fix. I would recommend

My Favorite Wireless Buds for Android

These buds pair quickly (I used with both a Note20 Ultra and Pixel 3 XL) and sound really good. They fit my ears (see more on that below) and I haven't had had any bluetooth issues.
I have tried all of the recent Samsung buds, both AirPods and AirPods Pro, and these are my second favorite next to the AirPods Pro (and my favorite for Android users).
Compared to other wireless earbuds, I found the Pixel Buds to have easier to use touch controls, to be easier to find the right sit in my ear (some buds you have to spends ages fiddling with) and richer sound.
What typically trips me up is the fit; maybe my ears are oddly shaped, I don't know. That means that earbuds that have different sized tips work better for me, which is why I would rate these higher than, say the AirPods (non-Pro) and the new Samsung Buds Live.
Best Use Case: You want wireless earbuds for your Android phone that pair quickly and sound good. You don't need or want noise cancelling or a sealed fit (which blocks outside noise). As a bonus, you use Google Assistant.
Worst Use Case: You use an iPhone. You want buds that block out noise or actively cancel noise.

This is my first foray into the higher budgeted ear buds. I have a pixel phone and the integration was instant. The comfort level of these earbuds is top notch. Make sure to try the different sized tips included, I didn't realize the difference that made in sound quality. The gesture touch is very handy and responsive. No EQ but I imagine Google will push one out in a future firmware update.

I was really excited about these buds and hold of on ordering other ones because I thought these would be perfect.
The pro's: When I got them I thought they looked real good, and the case is very compact with a smooth working lid. It feels sturdy, and the buds stay in place very well, it doesn't feel they'll accidentally fall out. The set-up was also very easy, especially with my Pixel phone. The sound is decent for all-round buds, nothing to complain and from what I've heard it's comparable to it's competitors. The controls are also very good. Of course Google assistent works great and you can just say "Hey Google" to have handsfree control over your phone. But the touch controls are also very good. Not too sensitive, and I never skipped a track by accident.
Con's: The buds sit very tight in your ear, so it never feels like they could fall out, but it started to hurt after a while. After a couple of hours I had to take them out. I thought maybe I had to get used to them, and after a couple of days it did get better, but after a week I still couldn't wear them for a long time comfortably. Of course this is very personal! Everyone's ear is different and maybe their fit just isn't for me. I maybe could have gotten over this, but I also experienced serious issues with the Bluetooth. The connection with my phone was decent enough while I was indoors, only minor glitches, but once I went outside and walk around NYC, I got worse and it really bothered me. And the connection to my laptop was horrible, especially during Zoom calls. Sometimes in the middle of a conversation people couldn't hear me, or the sound would disappear. Even after contacting google assistance (who were very quick and helpful through the chat) and performing a "hard reset", I still had the same issues. So in the end I decided to return them.
I read that some people had similar issues and some of them got new ones that worked perfectly, and others got new ones that had the same issues. Because the fit also wasn't for me, I decided to return them after little over a week. They definitely have potential to be great all-round buds, but I felt they're not there yet, maybe after a firmware update but I didn't want to wait for this.

They'll get the job done until a couple years in

Two years in and one of the headphones dies very quickly. I've used these primarily for work meetings. So they get used M-F and I'm on meetings pretty often. Do not use them for anything else, I don't work out in them or anything so no sweat is factored in here. I can get about 20-30 minutes now on a full charge before the right bud dies, then the left goes about 15 minutes later. Used to be able to use them for ~ 2hrs without worrying about battery life.
Connectivity has also always been an issue with these guys and a slight buzzing noise when there's no audio ongoing. Overall they lasted 2 yrs and now I consider them almost unusable due to battery life. They were OK while they lasted.

Huge Upgrade from Google's First Buds! HOME RUN!!!

LOVE THESE!!! I am admittedly a big Google fan, so making my software/AI bias known up front there and will spare you any further from my rave/opinion on Google Assistant's dominance in this space. So that leaves design...
I will be the first to say I was rather skeptical when I saw the small and compact size of these buds, I was certain their battery would last all of 1-2 hours. I was very pleasantly surprised that at full volume these last the full ~5 hours straight! The touch controls are very intuitive, and the adjustable earpieces make sure they fit well enough to be very secure during a heavy run.
Lastly, the look is to your preference, but I love have the clean look of a small bud vs. the goofy antenna dangle going down the ear. Audio isn't affected in the least, and looks so much better in my opinion. Plus the color options make me want at least one more pair just for variety alone. The relatively low price compared to other wearables make that a very enticing idea.

The Google Pixel Buds Mk2 (2020)
Now totally wireless with a charging case, and overall really good. The fit is nice with 3 different-sized earbud tips and a wingtip to fit nicely in your ear. Good audio with no active noise cancellation, but the device controls are excellent. When purchased, there were some issues with the left bud randomly disconnecting and reconnecting. However, that seems to have been fixed with firmware updates and software updates.
Pros:
*Great Controls on the earbuds
*Snug Fit
*Good audio (check out bass boosting in settings, it's much better)
*Quick Charging
*Quick Pairing
Cons:
*Uncomfortable after wearing for prolonged periods due to wingtip
*Sometimes, there may be connection issues
*Short battery life (~5 hours) with uneven drain sometimes (seems to switch from one to another to balance out over total use)
*A bit pricy
*No active noise cancellation

Pros:
Great Assistant Integration
Crisp Mid-High Frequency Response
Battery Life
Touch Controls
Charge Case has great feel/design
Cons:
Audio Dropouts
Uncomfortable Design
Too quiet
Severely lacking on bass
No EQ controls
No ANC
That might seem like a great list of Pros, but the cons list is more of a sign that Google still has a bit to go with their Headphones line vs Samsung and Apple. Having just picked up a Pixel phone that was amazing, I was really disappointed by these.
Right away the headphones did not fit in my ear well. The headphones come with 3 different size tips all hurt my ear canal. The relief I felt removing them after the first 5 mins was already telling but I continued on.
Sitting still within 3 feet of my phone I had multiple dropouts in audio on calls and listening to music. I connected my Airpods Gen1 for 2 hours afterwards with no interruptions. To challenge the Pixel Buds 2 more I took them for a walk, and they dropped out just as much. A drop every 30-45 mins is okay with me. Not many within 10 mins.
If I am putting something in my ear canal, I except ANC. There is no reason to create a seal in my ear. Even being in the ear canal, these are terrible for bass response. That was disappointing because the mids and highs were bright and crisp. My Airpods Gen1 do get a little muddy but they deliver more sound in general. Maybe in the future Google will add EQ to help with this but Pixel Buds are already too quiet I just feel like at the root the drivers used for this generation just was not vetted well against the mechanical design.
Overall super disappointed because all of the smart features, the touch controls were great and I love how the charging/carry case feels in hand. But drop outs and comfort should be really high on anyones radar if they still choose to buy these.

It works just like an iPod. Open the case, connects and voila! It works. It sounds great, feels comfortable in the ear.. battery life is decent. It's doesn't have a lot of bass like Beats for example, but it's good if you pair it with an up to date android phone.

The bad: These earbuds are not powerful. You could set them to max volume and you can barely drown out most stuff. The lack of sound isolation is to blame, but that is just the "missing feature".
The great: When set up with a compatible device (I use a GOOGLE pixel 3a) the controls, when mastered, make these very convenient. I have to work in a clean room with latex gloves on, so these controls have been quite nice. I can turn up the volume with a quick swipe to ignore a coworker, and with the tap of a button I can pause my music to listen to my boss chew me out! The software has a convenient status report so you know exactly the charge on each of the 3 batteries.

Awesome Upgrade

Upgraded from the original Pixel Buds, and I got to say I love these. I upgraded my buds at the same time I upgraded my Pixel 3XL to Pixel 5.
I love these buds, so much more comfortable, a much better case, and no annoying cord running from ear to ear. The sound is incredible. With the original bud's I had to constantly re-pair them to my phone, which is fine at home, but in public it can get tricky. So far, I haven't had a single issue.
Also, you can use just one bud at a time, which not only extends batter time, but also comes in real handy when you work in an office and need to be aware of what is going on around you. Also, these buds can detect when inserted into an ear. When you remove them, it will automatically pause you music even when using an Ap like Amazon Music. Gestures work well, just make sure that you know how they are oriented in your ear.
Great upgrade!

I bought these earbuds because I have an android device, and the youtube reviews were outstanding. Everything was great about them, such as the sounds quality, touch commands, and they even come with an app so non pixel devices can get almost all features. problem is that they have connectivity issues at times. It seems to happen most if your are running/jogging, the audio will start to cut out sometimes, and at other times, it just pauses randomly. The only reason I returned them is because since they are supposed to be high quality earbuds, and you're paying quite a bit for the, I expect to have no problems at all.

These are almost perfect headphones for the features and the price point the case and the case battery. The earbuds battery life themselves could be better but it's honestly not bad. The only minor inconveniences of experience are intermittent cutting in and out but only if the case is far away from the buds (which naturally shouldn't happen too often).I feel like the only time I experienced it was when it went for a jog and I left my case at home and I paired the buds once I arrived to my jogging area. again all in all a great product at a great price point well worth the money. Comfort also is an outstanding but it's definitely above average. They are comfortable and they stay in. he supposed to actually stayed in my ears after a 2.2 mi hike/jog where I am going up and down trails and such. At the day I definitely would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall, the PixelBuds are great - when they work. The sound quality is not as good as my Sony WH-1000xm3 headphones but is better than most cheap bluetooth earbuds I've used. I've always had some static in the right earbud, but it was manageable. It basically just meant that podcasts or audiobooks were too annoying to listen to, but the static was hardly noticeable during music. Unfortunately, the left earbud started having quieter sound after two months week and eventually stopped working entirely. Google had me ship them the buds to be replaced under warranty, but I'm still waiting to get them replaced.

Google has finally given us the buds worthy of their reputation. If you are a Pixel phone owner like me, the initial setup is seamless. A must buy for tech enthusiasts. It's voice translation is impeccable and smooth, and the language support has grown leaps and bounds compared to the early days. Sound quality is better than what I expected, and only an audiophile will nitpick on it's audio output. It comes with an awesome futuristic case that really resembles the character EVE from the movie Wall-E! Battery life is good. It fits well, however I am not gonna be confident of taking it along for an intense running session for that matter even a casual jog. Not sure if it will fall off, but somehow feels like it might. All in all, it's a super cool accessory from the Pixel family.

They work really well with a Pixel phone. Pairing is super easy, the controls are responsive and well thought, the design looks good, the battery life is decent, the sound is better than the average...
All good, BUT, there are some communication issues from time to time. Sometimes one bud stops working and you have to disconnect and pair again the headphones. Sometimes the volume just drops and the only way to solve it disconnecting and pairing again.
Those issues don't happen frequently, but they can be annoying.

At the time of my order, I was not so convinced, as the product was limited in availability, and reports of sound quality issues appeared. Previously, I used the Pixel Buds 2017, which worked fine for me, but this 2020 version is a worthy replacement. The pairing method has been improved while it is linked to my Gmail account instead of just my Bluetooth devices. It works pretty well to switch between my Pixel 4XL and my Pixelbook (2017), although unfortunately they can't be connected at the same time. The sound quality is great for calling and playing music even with bass. Putting the earplugs in and out of your ears couldn't be easier. And they keep in my ears while running and jumping! What else do you need in headphones?
