    Powerful Google Pixel 4 Watch

First let me start by saying that I am not a fitness expert, nor do I profess to becoming one. I am however at an age near retirement, and I have started to embrace a healthier lifestyle over the last 5 months. I have had several different smart watches but what appealed to me about the Pixel 4 watch was not only for all the current features that I can immediately take advantage of, like Steps, specific workout selections, energy burned, heart rate, floors climbed, etc. As I continue this path (I have lost over 30lb), I have increased my walking, started light running but also explore other activities. Now for the design, this (I have the 45mm) face is amazing. It is by far the brightest and clearest to read. The Actua 360 domed display provides an edge-less design, it’s unique and when people see it, they ask which watch this is! It’s also made with Gorilla Glass and is dust, water and scratch resistant, perfect for the active lifestyle. This watches Health tools are incredible. The Dashboard shows things like sp02, breathing rate, heart rate, skin temperature and variability of heart rate. The sleep tracking shows details which measure the quality of your sleep. It tracks time spent in the various sleep phases such as light, deep, REM and then provides you with sleep scores you can use to gauge the quality of your sleep. You can also store your medical condition, medications and blood type on the watch so that if you make emergency calls, your info can be provided to first responders. Ok, so here is one of the coolest things. I use Googles AI Tool Gemini all the time for work and non-work on my personal and work laptops. Now, the Pixel 4 has Gemini built in! Just long press the button above the crown button and Gemini pops up! You can press the microphone and give it any normal question or prompt. It’s awesome if you quickly need an answer and don’t want to open or pull out your phone. Google has used a higher power co-processor for an improved AI experience. You can also leverage it’s ability to work across apps like calendar and mail. For the safety conscious, there are some amazing features as well. It’s the first smartwatch to be able to use SOS satellite communications. It enables you to connect to Emergency services even when Cell and Wifi are not available. Loss of pulse detection which can connect to emergency services, which can provide quicker response to medical services even when you cannot. It has fall and car crash detection but also has a feature called Safety check which can be set up for example if you go out for a walk or run. You set the timer and if the timer runs out without your intervention, it will notify your emergency contacts. Really Cool ! In addition to seamlessly integrating with all other Google apps like Wallet and maps, the battery life on this thing beats anything I have had before. The specs say 40 hours on the 45mm and 72 with battery saver. I have been getting every bit of 40+ without having to go on battery saver mode. Overall, I am very happy with this decision to get Google Pixel 4! It seems like every day I discover new things to do on it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who uses Google Pixel phones. I have the new Pixel 10 Fold and this is the perfect companion.

A Step Up from Pixel Watch 3

A step up from Pixel Watch 3 with slightly better battery life, a better screen, and faster response times overall, but still missing some key features, such as active blood oxygen sensing and more options for watch faces. The google assistant is still a bit spotty responding and the google Gemini is so slow responding it is almost unusable. However, the google assistant experience is still better than experiences I've had with Bixby on the Samsung watches. Overall, I recommend.

    Best Android Watch To Date

Over the past ten years, I have used several Android wear devices. The Google Pixel Watch 4 may be the best yet. The screen is large, clear picture and bright. Even outside, it is easy to read and images/text look sharp. The hardware feels fast and responsive. Swiping and tapping is smooth enough. Apps open quickly and the watch reacts well to touch. I don’t love the domed glass from a style perspective. However, it does make the watch face easy to read and interact with. Its round face and slim design look modern, it does have a little bit of a spaceship aesthetic, but that might be the norm now a days. The Pixel Watch 4 comes in two sizes, 41 and 45mm, and 7 different band colors. It feels light and comfortable on the wrist. Fitness features are strong. The watch tracks steps, heart rate, sleep, and workouts. Health tools are easy to use and give useful info for daily activity. There are some drawbacks. The included rubber band is fine for what it is, but for the price I would have expected more. If you want a better band, options are pricey. The 'raise to talk' feature can be annoying and doesn’t always activate. I also wish you could use Gemini live instead of the standard transactional assistant. The Pixel Watch 4 gives a great experience. It’s stylish, fast, and packed with fitness features. Despite a few small issues, I would recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable smartwatch for everyday use. Certainly better than the one I had 10 years ago!

I love how seamless it connects and tracks everything. The display is clear and bright, and i like the curved face. Batrery seems to charge quickly. Like the sideways charger.

I had the Pixel Watch 3 and this one seems better in the short time I've owned it. Much improved battery life. The watch charges way faster and the display shows more even though I have the same sized watch as my previous watch. I've heard the watch can be fixed, if it is damaged (hopefully I don't have to experience that), but that is a huge bonus in my mind. I won't need to buy a whole new watch and instead just need to replace the display.

Finally got a watch that could replace my Fitbit Sense 1. Battery life is decent and the quick charge is a game changer. The display and big and bright and not so heavy on my wrist. It's a great buy!

The Pixel Watch 4 is an essential upgrade. Its battery life is good, lasting over 30 hours, but the new 45mm model makes it even better, pushing past two days of use. The brilliant Actua 360 display and the snappy Wear OS 6, powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2, deliver a genuinely excellent experience than previous generations. This combination of endurance and performance makes the Watch 4 a true flagship.

While it looks like a small update over the previous models, the slight added curve on the display and the slightly smaller bezels make Google's watch continue to be the most interesting smartwatch style in the game. Battery life has also shown a small improvement as well, as I don't have to charge it every night. The new Moonstone colorway is also very nice.

I am coming form the pixel watch 3. I have also had garmins and apple watches in the past, so I'm comparing to both. The upogrades are rather minor overall. However, they are significant improvements that puts this watch on par and/or exceedes that of other wear OS watches. The battery life is about 10-15 hrs longer than the pw3 which makes this last about as long as an apple watch. The screen bezels are slightly smaller giving more real estate as well as a bit more brightness. This makes readability better. The fibit health and exercise features are excellent. Some of the more obscure exercises are missing that the garmin watches have, but what is present is fine for the average user. I have been using gemini for exercise and diet plans. This is basic, but works as well as any human diet app I have used before. One small note about the moonstone color is that there is only one band with matching lugs and thats the 45mm active band.

Looks and feels great. It's a great match with my Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The two work seamlessly together. The battery life is the biggest seller here. I go 3 days on each charge and I use it for daily workouts and sleep monitoring.

Pretty good device, notifications are lacking

Overall a good device from Google. Good battery and screen, good fitness functions. Notifications are disappointing; they only show within a few seconds of arriving if you lift the watch. If you don’t, you have to swipe to see them. Further, if you do lift the watch while doing something else, they dont show in the notification count even if you don’t dismiss then. This means an accidental arm raise can cause you to miss one.

The Pixel Watch 4 is a solid upgrade—sleek design, super bright display, and Gemini AI makes interactions smoother than ever. Health tracking is accurate, and the new repairability is a huge plus. Battery life is decent, lasting over two days. Wish the charger was backward compatible and some Fitbit features weren’t locked behind a paywall. Still, a great smartwatch for Pixel users!

Pixel watch 4 - best so far

After spending some quality time with the Google Pixel Watch 4, I can honestly say that Google has finally nailed the hardware, even if the software still feels like a work in progress. Coming from previous generations, the first thing that struck me was just how premium this watch feels. The refined "dome" design and significantly slimmer bezels make the display look expansive, and with the new 3,000 nits brightness, I never found myself squinting to read a notification in direct sunlight. It finally looks less like a piece of tech on my wrist and more like a proper timepiece. The biggest game-changer for me, however, has been the battery life. In the past, I was constantly anxious about my watch dying before bed, but the Pixel Watch 4 is an absolute beast in this department. I'm easily getting over 40 hours of use, and on lighter days, I’ve stretched it to nearly two full days without breaking a sweat. This improvement has completely changed how I use the device; sleep tracking is actually practical now because I don't have to charge it right before I go to sleep. When I do need to top it up, the fast charging is genuinely impressive—I just drop it on the new side-dock while I shower, and it’s usually good to go for the rest of the day by the time I'm out. That said, my experience hasn't been entirely flawless, largely due to the software ecosystem. The integration with Fitbit still feels a bit fragmented to me, with my health data scattered across Fitbit, Health Connect, and traces of Google Fit. I also ran into a frustrating quirk with sleep tracking where waking up for a quick glass of water would sometimes split my sleep data into two separate sessions, which is annoying for anyone who loves clean data. Also, while I love the fast charging, I have to admit I'm a bit salty that Google changed the charger design again, rendering my old travel cables useless. Ultimately, despite the software gripes, I think this is the best wearable Google has ever made. The dual-frequency GPS has been spot-on for my runs, catching corners and turns that my old watch would have smoothed over. If you’re still holding onto a Pixel Watch 1 or 2, I think the jump in battery life and build quality makes this a mandatory upgrade. It feels like the device we were promised years ago, and for the first time, I'm not just tolerating the battery life—I'm actually impressed by it.

Much snappier than the Pixel Watch 3 as well as increased battery life and charging speed. Raise to talk to Gemini is a game changer in terms of convenience not to mention they finally have Google Home integration figured out.

There's a lot of great features that my Versa 4 didn't have but my goodness does this battery not last as long. Pros -Display is amazing -Scroll wheel, very nice tactile feel -Capabilities, I have tried everything yet but it's great with what I need it for daily. Cons -Mostly the battery life -The fact that I needed to install the Google Watch app to set it up for it to then say, ok now use Fitbit for everything else. -The watch faces are ok but not much in the way of community driven designs
