It gives you extra battery life for the cost of being a little bit bulkier

Since GoPro back can shoot 4K at 30FPS you pretty much need this battery pack. With a 64GB sbcard you get about 2 hours 13 minutes of recording time and my main battery was gone at around 50 minute mark. This battery pack comes with two back covers and fits GoPro like a glove. Make sure that you update your camera to the latest firmware prior to using it with this battery pack. Tiny screen in the back provides combined battery meter which is really convenient.

The battery is a must for anyone who takes long videos with a GoPro, particularly for a timelapse or nightlapse. The product comes with an adaptor so it will be waterproof. I've taken mine on a dive taking multiple videos and it never even used the actual GoPro battery. In addition, I just used it for a 45 minute timelapse of a sunset with the wireless turned on (connected to my phone) and the battery (when fully charged) only dropped down one bar. I would suggest buying this before purchasing additional batteries for a GoPro.

I got this to extend my video recording of the GoPro. It does a great job to increase the recording time. I do not need to keep replacing battery. I can add it to the existing battery and it acts as a dual battery.

I was recommended by a Best Buy employee to use this battery pack because it will last me a lot longer than extra batteries that you have to put in the GoPro. The Best Buy employee was right. I did not have to charge it at all during the day of use and actually had at least half battery life left. The battery pack does come with its own GoPro casing so it is waterproof.

This battery is very sleek and does a great job extending battery life for the GoPro. I have the Hero 3, and it works perfectly so far. The supplied backings work for the newer housing, rather than the original that came with the Hero 3 at the time, but the new housing is much more compact now, which is great.

Got this so I can record son's baseball games. With stock battery could not record full game. Attached battery pak to gopro hero3 and now the full game is recorded. Also like the battery level inbicator it has to show battery life left.

This really extends battery life up 25% longer run time. My Gopro sits in wifi for an hour before I turn it on and records for another hour and half. I highly recommend it for longer battery life.

I use my Go Pro for my daughter's volleyball game. The BacPac really extends my battery life so I don't have to continue changing or recharging my batteries. I would recommend for anyone.

This battery was good because it added valuable recording time so I didn't have to get out of the water and go get a new battery when at the beach. It was sort of finicky when plugging it in to charge. Sometimes it took a second to start charging and I never did figure out what the issue was.

Seeing how the Hero/2 Battery BacPac is not compatible with the 3+ through current GoPros makes this battery BacPac your best option for extended battery life that is waterproof.

This pack was a great addition for the purpose that I bought the GoPro for. I plug the wall charger into the pack and can record for 16 hrs with the standard definition setting.

I needed this when doing our running event, there was enough battery for the pre race, during and medal ceronmony! It does get hot though if you use the waterproof case with it

Bought this item for someone else, and he told me that it is great- he can use his GoPro for a longer time than before he started using his BacPac. Definitely would recommend.

This is a great addition to your Go Pro. The Go Pro uses a lot of battery power and this extends it pretty good. Haven't had a chance to see exactly how long but I do know it extends the battery well past the original battery. If you want some extra juice, pick this up.

I have the second Go Pro that was made & my plug adaptor broke in the camera & I wasn't able to recharge the battery. Found out they no longer sell the accessories for that type of camera. I was upset that I spent a great deal of money on that camera. The 1st Best Buy I went to the employee disregarded any of my questions & just wanted to sell me a brand new camera even though I told him I can't afford it. So I walked out not happy. The 2nd Best Buy I went to the employee noticed my frustration & diligently search for any possible solution to my problem and found me the back pack. WHOORAH The employee saved the day.

easily doubles the life out of my gopro hero 4 silver.... I own 2 because they work great. Just be sure to charge them separately from the camera to get the most of them.

As always a great product from GoPro. The extended life from the extra battery is well worth it since shooting in 4k sucks the life from the camera. It is a must have!

Simple to attach, simple to use. Comes with necessary back door. Really nice not having to worry about the battery not lasting the length of time needed for recording.
