    The Blackout housing is great because the buttons are more responsive then the original housing and it looks great. Drawback is you can't see any of the red lights to know where you are recording as you can in the original clear.

    have used it while going on trips, filming skateboarding, and has survived multiple low level drops. only time it needed to be replaced was when the screen protector was scratched(not gopro) causing a glow in pictures. has done its job, well worth protection.

    Bought the housing to make the silver camera less noticeable but haven't used it yet and doubt I will. Maybe for a stealth assignment it will still be useful....
