Due to the angle of the mount on the chestie the camera will only face almost directly down so you only see your legs and skis, none of the terrain or scenery. Had to borrow the reticulating arm for an additional $20 for this to take the shots i was looking for but then it becomes a little cumbersome while skiiing.

Great and comfortable

Really secure, even with all of the tough terrain I encountered. I would definitely recommend this product.

Flexible and great way to capture point-of-view
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this mount at the urging of my son, who used it with my GoPro Hero 3 while climbing to the top of the Koko Crater tramline stairs on Oahu, Hawaii. It was easy to adjust the straps to fit him, and he got some very interesting video capture during the ascent. The straps are nice and wide so that there's little risk of developing a sore spot from too much load concentrated in one area. Mounting the camera does require a little creative thinking. I had the extended battery pack and back door on the camera, so I had to mounting the camera with the clawfoot away from the back of the camera instead of behind the camera. The entire mount comes in a black cloth stuff sack. It's a tight fit, but I did manage to tuck a stubby Phillips screwdriver in the sack with the mount to tighten/loosen the thumbknob holding the camera shell to the clawfoot mount. Overall a great accessory for catching active footage without the camera getting too much in the way.
