Having this allows 2 batteries to be charged conveniently. You'll be glad to have fully charged extra batteries when you go empty during the middle of recording.

This is the most important thing that I have purchased for the go pro. the fact that the hero4 battery life is terrible this is the best solution before you buy the extended battery packs which wont fit in original cases. only reason I cant give it 5 stars is because the fact that it only comes with a usb and not a wall charger

Hero 4 battery life is ok, at low res, when you jack it up it eats battery life, with the included battery you will at least have 2x as much recording time.

Works Great, But ONLY good for GoPro Hero 4. Salesman let me by a battery & Charger for the Hero 3 so had to exchange it on the morning I was traveling.

Great idea to have multiple charged batteries on hand and this will do the job well. Go pro cams use plenty of juice so back up your back ups.. Lol

This is definitely worth getting if filming for extended periods of time. It is always good to have a battery backup, especially in the cold weather.
