While the camera is easy to operate, when playing back videos on my computer, the audio plays back perfectly but the video is very choppy and sometimes stops completely. this renders the video useless for playback or for sending to a third party.

Nice entry level GoPro. Video quality is adequate for a beginner. It picks up sounds pretty clear from 30-50 yards away. I’ve had some minor issues with it connecting or losing connection thru Bluetooth connection but not enough to be annoyed by it. Could be a result of my device’s Bluetooth and not the GoPro. I like being able to watch from my phone app as well while video is being recorded. Impressed overall.

Ok... This is basically one of the current entry level models to the go pro camera and it's my first experience using one. I really did not know what to expect. But the first thing which shocked me was the size. It's about the size 1" x 1 1/2" inches. I was blown away this could be so powerful in such a small package. As far as usage... Well it only took me about 30 minutes of toying around with the various settings to understand the features and how to really put it to work. So, there's no strong over head in the learning arena. One thing... Is you'll find the accessories you can garner for this product are plentiful. Good, It has awesome QHD recording for some really spectacular shots and video. I now wish I could have afforded the 4K model. But, going in I had no idea of how much I would use it. Going forward I rate this a 5 star... Price/Performance/Usability. One of the recommended accessories I would suggest is the extra battery and charger. You'll be glad you did when you can keep the GoPro going.

I’m a casual user and this camera suits me perfectly- good quality pictures and easy to use! Personally, I don’t need any of the features that the more advanced GoPros offer. There are common GoPro glitches which I wish could be resolved - the battery gives a false ‘empty’ status sometimes after recharging; and sync’ing with an iPhone over wifi is a pain as it’s not stable.

My husband has the Hero 7 Black which has Amazing footage. I didn't need all the bells and whistles like his, I just needed something simple that has 1440/1080 footage. I tried lower end Action cameras. I tried 6 of them to be precise. I returned all of them, they just couldn't match the quality and consistency of this GoPro. This one can hook up to an external 7" HDMI monitor for Live Recording/Playback, the GoPro 3.5mm Mic Adapter for USB-C works on this even though GoPro states that it does not. I like that this one still has the removable battery. In the 2018 models only the Hero 2018 and the Hero 7 Black has this feature. I can't imagine owning a GoPro without that ability as the battery drains quickly or slowly depending upon type of use and weather. So for it's price point this GoPro was the logical choice if you don't need 4K, otherwise I would jump straight to the Hero 7 Black. For What I need, this action camera is perfect. I would definitely recommend it, if you can still find them available.

Good camera for the price. Good quality but without paying over $250

first time purchasing the go pro hero had issues with first one i bought best buy exchanged it with no problem the camera i have now works great i will continue to buy from best buy
