Q: How long does the battery last on a charge ?
A: Battery life will depend on which mode you're shooting in. For example, at a high resolution and frame rate like 1440p and 60 fps, the battery should last about an hour and 20 minutes. At a lower setting like 1080p and 30 fps, you should get about two and a half hours of battery life per charge.
Q: Do you need any housing at all or can you just take the camera under water by itself?
A: By itself. I bought a floating handle just in case I dropped it though.
Q: This $200 gopro. what gopro is it? 4/5/6?
A: Its the hero 2018, which is between the 4 and 5. Basically its a 5 with less options like no 4k, limited time lapse, limited video settings and 10mp camera vs the 12 in the 5. The 5 would be the better one, but its $100 more.
A: Yes, it's possible to use a GoPro as a dash cam. The Suction Cup mount is an option that may work for you. Also, the camera comes with a USB cable to charge the camera, so any adapter that can plug into your car and provide enough power should work.
Q: Hi is the new hero compatible with the smart remote?
A: No, it is not. I bought the remote to only find that out after I can't return it.
Q: Is there a video rec limit?
A: It depends on the size of the memory card you use. I have a 128G card it holds 8 hours worth.
Q: An the new GoPro Hero do timelapse?
A: Yes; video and picture
Q: So can I see what the camera sees on my phone
A: Yes, via the app.
