fun camera and the waterproof case works perfectly, the field of view is fabulous as well as the picture quality. Only drawback is the camera controls are so tiny because it doesn't have the LED screen on the back like some of the other versions - makes it a little harder to use unless you basically have the controls memorized. Haven't tried to use the go pro app to control it yet - that might help.

Size: very good size and easy to handle. Water proof case: Very solid, well constructed although with some salt accumulation and sand after used at the beach Sound quality: Very good with or without the waterproof case. Accessories: available at any Best Buy store and we don't have to wait days when purchase on line. One thing is not so good is removing completely the cap to get access to the micro HDMI connection and micro SD card slot, that small piece of rubber can be lost easily. In addition although the shoes where the camera is mounted are very solid you need to remove the screw all the way out and change the mount or the post and again place the screw all the way in to secure it. I guess is the price we need to pay to don't loss the camera in action.

Takes time to get used to how to work it, need to really read the instructions and the handbook. But it takes amazing video and pictures so worth every second! Only negative is battery doesn't last very long so I recommend getting an extra battery and the dual batter charger.

This camera is great for attaching to awkward angles and getting great video. The 4K option is useful, but the 1080p is more than sufficient. I really like the fact that I can monitor it in my iPhone and have a high quality video camera I can use in my productions.

Great camera with great features. Haven't used it long enough to be able to judge the battery life but I've heard it's not that good because the video processing uses lots of power = awesome video, everything else is great, don't need a touch screen because I use the app.

If you are looking for a camera to record video in a hostile environment or want a tough camera to bring with you everywhere you go. Pros: Light weight, excellent video quality, significant amount of settings and customization of record settings, good support form major editing suites (Adobe Premier Pro and Final Cut Pro), great app, updates are easy to preform. Cons: Lens cover not included, audio quality in the stock housing is not ideal. external microphone would be good, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi microphone support would also be good. It has a very good picture quality. It never misses a moment. Camera start up time is quick. It comes with waterproof casing which is helpful. The only drawback is the battery drains very fast if you record in 1080p. So, remember to keep an extra battery handy.

I love it! It captures films with high quality. I bicycle around the world and this machine Hero-4 really gives me many options. It is very easy to use and you get an amazing results. I have already created a world-class channel on You Tube, And thanks to GoPro.

I do not do any extreme sports, just life. I do nude photography and video and this has been very exciting using this in the production phase. It has been Phun working with this and seeing some amazing output. I would not use this without the iPhone app. Since my eyes are compromised at my age I couldn't even imagine using this with just the camera alone because the information screen is tiny and impossible to read and navigate. Even with glasses on it is difficult to read unless you have the right angle and correct lighting . I would give it five stars if I was 20 something so be aware if the interface. It takes some playing with to get all what this amazing camera does... I highly recommend reading the manual and seeing what the various settings will do because there is a lot of creative potential in this camera. Then inJoy the results and stay safe too... namaste

his camera is by far the most advanced gopro yet. People are complaining about the black edition not having an LCD screen and the cheaper silver version having an LCD. I'll tell you exactly why, 1) the black edition isn't for the average Joe who wants to play back what they've just shot. 2) the black edition is too powerful for an lcd screen. 4k30fps 2.7k50fps and the holy grail 1080p120fps. These are some powerful settings. Remember this is an ACTION camera, the people using the black edition aren't worried about viewing what they're shooting at the time, they're focused on what they're doing. Also, the gopro was designed to film yourself so you wouldn't be looking at an LCD screen anyway. As far as the app goes, It's simply to see the angle you've mounted your gopro at and to control the recording. For example, let's say you mount it on your head and you want to make sure the angle is good, connect to the app, check your angle and hit record... Hope this review helps everyone who can't decide between the black and silver.

The Gopro Series of cameras are the best consumer cameras made by far. Easy to use, durable, endless mounting options, and absolutely fantastic video and pictures. There is no other brand that delivers such wholesome results for the same competitive price.

I think the title says enough, but if not try one of these products. I took mine Zip Lining after seeing someone else use one. Also the bundle is a great price. Memory disk are a little pricey, but worth the money to get pictures of high quality.

I Use many cameras for picture and video. This is a must if you are taking action footage. I was using a handycam before and a dslr with a whole bag of rigging. Now I carry medium size pelican case and that is it. One note- buy extra batteries.

I bought this to use on a recent snowboarding trip along with scuba diving that I had going on. Well once I set it up which was easy to do, I had a lot of fun playing around it. It's a great camera that captures some amazing pictures and videos.

I really like this camera compared to others I have used. It's easy to use, takes amazing photos, the only drawback I have experienced is that the hero 4 black doesn't come with a built in screen. Otherwise this is simply an amazing camera.

I love this camera, the video is increadable for such a small peice of equipment. Everyone should have one. The only draw back is that gopro has not added an lcd screen to the back and yto add one it costs an extra $80 and adds a lot of bulk.

I got the gopro because a friend of mine recommended it to me. I'm very glad I listened! 4k video looks amazing even when doing something as simple as riding my motorcycle around town. I love how many different settings the gopro has in terms of fidelity and frame rate. My only qualm with it is the microphone. When I record on my bike all it picks up is the wind after I reach about 40mph no matter where I put it. To be fair I don't think many cameras out there do much better than a gopro in this respect so I still give it the full 5 stars.

Video quality is great. Biggest flaw is battery life so get a second battery. easy to use but read directions, otherwise you will be confused. Get the App for your phone. Uses more battery life, but allows you to see what you are filming.

Truly amazing camera for $500! What a camera for the price. Hard to believe they can put out a product like this one. The features make it a must buy for anybody who is into photography especially for underwater and sporting events!

I love the clarity of 4K. This is the best little camera app ever owned and I am enjoying it all the time. Love how it's waterproof and you can go anywhere with this camera day or night. Thank you for selling me a wonderful product
