I bought the Karma Grip with the idea to be the perfect alternative for the DJI Osmo. I tought it would be the solution to get stabilized footage on my Hero 5 Black, but unfortunately, I faced some issues. I tested the Osmo before, but I wanted something independant, that doesn't need my phone to be conected all the time while in use. So I tought in the Karma. About Karma design, I can say that the buttons are on the perfect place, actually the grip was comfortable... But, in functionality, I got some lags on controls, specially when I turned on the camera from zero, and then, wanted to turn it off again directly from the Grip, it didn't respond to any button. I don't know if there was a problem with my Karma Grip (maybe broken or something like that), but many other users expressed the same issue I had. The big problem I faced was with the sync between the Grip buttons and the camera. I still don't understand how they cannot work if both were updated, on it's latest firmware version, they were practically new... Now you can imagine everything I could not do with it (record, take a picture, turn on/off). I was very sad about my gear, certainly it's not bad... but I think it needs more development from GoPro. I had no choice than returning it. I expect GoPro work on a better stabilizer grip or maybe an update on the actual Karma. Meanwhile, I still think the OSMO is better, in ispite of its known issues.

Taking video with a go pro while snow boarding makes all the difference in the world. Vids are super smooth. Love it.

Looked at quite a few different ideas on how best to video with Go Pro and this is it. Works great,very simple to use. I recommend buying the adapter that helps attach the camera. Best 20 bucks spent.

Easy to use stabilizer. Even better that you can mount it onto most GoPro accessories that can hang virtically, like the GoPro backpack shoulder strap.

The picture is so clear! It's very easy to use, and the case it comes with is practical!

All my videos were pretty smooth. Wonder if the buttons will hold up. A little on the high $$ price side also.

The Karma Grip does a nice job at creating smooth videos. It is small enough to fit into a small backpack making it perfect for traveling. I haven't had any major issues with it thus far.

It give a professional feeling to the videos. The best investment after my gopro.

Does what it is advertised to do. I've read complaints about it doesn't do this or that, but it does what it says it does and it does it well.

I use this when on vacation or in parades for the best angles. Lightweight and very easy to use.

Go pro left a lot of room for improvement when creating this item. But the videos do come out steady.

This item let's you take very stabilized pics and photos.

It's a great addition to the GoPro. I love the fact it keeps the images stable. Only thing I don't like is that it keeps charging the GoPro at the expense of the device itself.

i am really enjoying this. Works as it should had no problem with it. if you have a GoPro this is a must have. it is a bit expensive.

The Karma Grip has surpassed my expectations and stabilizes video even in the harshest terrains (I tested it off road with my UTV). Battery life is good and it is easy to use.

The only thing that could be better about this is the price tag. It's on the pretty expensive side

The technology of this gimbal blew me away; it's ability to remain smooth and follow the object is very impressive. That said, sometimes it simply doesn't power up or power down the way it should, and may take repeated attempts. It works fine about 80% of the time, so patience may be required for the (seeimingly) random times it acts up.

was great for video but the fact that it charges your gopro makes the battery die very fast

Ive used this a handful of times and it produces ultra smooth video every time. Its also a nice little added bonus that the Karma Grip charges the GoPro while powered on.
