Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the Karma Grip's video quality, stabilization, and ease of use. The gimbal and its compatibility with GoPro cameras are also appreciated, along with the added benefit of charging the GoPro while in use and the inclusion of a protective case. However, some customers have expressed concerns about its battery life, price, motor noise, and size, as well as the fact that it is not waterproof.

Very easy to use.Good build quality. Only bad thing is the battery can't be replaced and it lasts for about 1 1/2 hrs. on a charge.

Great stabilization, no noise - easy to use! Would suggest for anybody who uses a go pro to film family get togethers or other functions. Only con - be careful with water shock -

GoPro karma grip performed as expected on recent trip to the smoky mountains. Used it for recording hiking, horseback riding, and getting video through sunroof of moving vehicle. Upon uploading video, it recorded super smooth and stable video quality as advertised. Held charge for About an hour of on and off recording. Mounted it to chest strap for hiking with included mounting ring.

Karma grip makes videos look VERY professional and stable. Only things preventing five-star rating are inability to connect an external microphone (unless I've just not figured out how yet; hopeful it can be remedied with software update), and it would be nice if battery was removable. Seriously, those are the two "cons" I can point out, but neither of these have resulted in any inconvenience to me. I wish there was a way to give a 4.5 rating. Hoping my next review is the GoPro Karma drone (granted Wifey Claus makes it happen for Christmas 2017!)I hope this helps!

It does what it's suppose to do and give really steady video for the GoPro hero 4 & 5, but that's the only positive thing I can say about it. It powers the GoPro even if it doesn't need to, which will drain the battery of the stabilizer no matter what. The battery also is not removable, which makes it unusable once the battery is dead. It is also really bulky and not that portable. It dalso oesn't have the ability to also stabilize smart phones.

The Karma grip and the Hero 5 work really well together. I've been using it to shoot video of my son skiing, and have been getting some really smooth video. I can't even watch the video from a standard pole grip anymore. The convenience of controlling the camera via the grip is great, especially when skiing. Sometimes the grip and the camera get out of sync, and the grip won't turn the camera off, but hopefully this can be fixed in an update. Overall it's a great toy, and can produce some really professional looking videos.

I bought this for my GoPro Hero 5. It's a little on the expensive side, but it is so worth it! In the last couple of days I have skipped, jumped, and ran all over the place to test it out and it puts my footage on a whole other level. Can't wait to travel and start a really cool blog.

I searched and it came down to this vs the Removu S1. Decided on the Karma Grip mainly because of the steady video compared to others but also the fact that the grip can control the GoPro itself. What I mean by that is it can change modes, tag certain parts of your video, and turn it on/off. The Removu S1 does not have the ability to control the GoPro from the handle. The Removu S1 does have some features that are awesome like the joystick and replaceable battery, but those weren't that important to me to be honest. I can simply hook an external battery to the Grip in between shooting sessions for a charge. Also when storing in its case, the Karma Grip is stored as is and can be taken out with the quickness to start shooting in a matter of seconds. The Removu S1 has to be broken down before storing it in its case which seemed inconvenient to me. It just depends on what your really looking for. For me the Karma Grip was perfect. I have not had any of the issues that some have reported....crossing fingers though.

This tool works beautifully. I bought it for what it's intended. To stabilize your camera. But what I did not know and it's a big plus is it charges your GoPro while using it. As everyone knows GoPro battery is very weak. With this stick. I had about the whole day of use. The battery on the handle itself last pretty well. When I say the whole day I mean both GoPro and stick battery is fully charged. When not in use turn the device off. Footage looks like it's on a drone. Very stable just as long as you watch how you move your hands when holding it. (Smooth motions). The aim control button took a little time for me to figure out but once you get it it's great. Great buy from Best Buy!!

You can not go wrong woth the karma grip. It does exactly what it says and stabilizes your recordings for better action shots. Definitely worth the investment, just kinda costly

$300 is a lot of money for a GoPro accessory, especially one that doesn't conform well to the action sports nature of the camera. Fortunately, the Grip does what it's supposed to do really well. It's a solid stabilizer that is designed to work with the GoPro exclusively. It does a great job as a walk around hand tripod that makes video much smoother. Battery life is pretty good even if it isn't removeable and it charges your GoPro as you go.

As per everything GoPro, the technology is some of the best in action-camera market. This is no different. The karma grip does a great job keeping everything stabilized, and it's kind of amazing to see how much you actually can shake and move it and still have it come out looking good. It's a bit on the expensive end as far as stabilizers go, but if you already have a GoPro, you probably aren't too worried about that.

While it may be short of some features.. I'm totally happy with it... It charges your gopro which is great and it is a very solid piece of equipment... Compliments the gopro hero 5 beautifully... If you want to get stable footage look no further than this

HUGE difference in our movies! While a few bumps here and there were okay, this makes our movies look so much more professional! Features are great and works well once you get used to it. Feels sturdy and good construction. My only gripe is there's no way to NOT have the battery get drained because of the grip charging the GoPro. The grip takes a while to recharge so once the grip is drained you're waiting for a LONG while! My extra GoPro batteries that are charged are useless along with a useless grip once the battery on it runs out! This could be a deal breaker for some.

Picked this up for an upcoming trip and have been playing around with it at the park and with my kids. First it's AMAZING the difference adding a gimbal makes. It's a little bigger than i expected and once you get used to using it it works really well. There are slightly cheaper ones out there that probably work as well, but they don't control the camera which is pretty slick.

If the Karma Grip was water proof, it would get a 5 star rating. Videos taken of granddaughter at the beach were excellent. The stabilization is superb. That along with the high dynamic range of the Hero 5 made for professional shots. Details in the shadows and in the bright sand were clearly visible. Controls on the grip also control the camera, making for convenient operation.

Been trying to look for the right stabilizer and one that is in stock. Cam across the Karma Grip and I must say it's really great. Videos come out steady and perfect for throwing quick clips into videos. I made a great decision on this stabilizer and enjoy using it everytime I go hiking. It's easy to use and battery lasts for awhile. The only junk thing is the grip uses its battery to charge the Go Pro. So your Go Pro will be 100% fully charged but the grip will run out of juice because of that. Other than that I think this is a great product to have.

Love the karma grip!! My wife and I went on a super rocky hike in Hawaii. I attached the go pro to the grip - snapped it onto my backpack and had amazing video stability the whole time! Would recommend this to anyone!
