Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the Karma Grip's video quality, stabilization, and ease of use. The gimbal and its compatibility with GoPro cameras are also appreciated, along with the added benefit of charging the GoPro while in use and the inclusion of a protective case. However, some customers have expressed concerns about its battery life, price, motor noise, and size, as well as the fact that it is not waterproof.

    Works but Could be Better

The job of a stabilizer is to stabilize your video of course. And the Karma Grip does that relatively well. That being said, I am already having problems with it in terms of how it's supposed to work and how it is working. When turning on the grip the camera is supposed to turn on too. And although it worked correctly for the first couple of weeks, I now have to turn the camera on independently. Same goes for starting and stopping the recording. Based on what I've read, I'm not the only one having these problems. Don't buy until the bugs are worked out.

I've long been a GoPro fan, but the karma grip has changed the game for me. I primarily use the GoPro for home video use with the kids, and while the quality of the picture is essentially the same, the fact that the image is stablized instantly raised the overall quality of the video. I'm a believer through and through and highly recommend for anyone interested in improving their GoPro footage.

Definitely takes the shakes out of your videos which make them easier to watch. Disappointed I could not pan the camera as it generally tried to focus on something random to keep it still.

Works well with my GoPro Hero 5. Would like to see GoPro come out with a version that someone could use with both their Hero 5 and Hero 4 without having to purchase additional accessories.

Excellent quality gimbal. Only downside is that the battery life is not that great compared to the Feiyu Tech gimbal. But the external record button is very handy. I would recomend it.

If you are loyal to GoPro and the quality they have provided throughout every generation of camera then the Karma Grip is a must have accessory. The image stabilization will perfect your videos and is well worth the investment.

This thing is great. I play in a band and typically put out videos from our live shows. We have someone who runs around with this grip and records our live shows. It's always been a great tool and I highly suggest if you want some buttery smooth video. Just get it already.

Found it to work easily, yet the results are not as “professional” as their demos show. Not the same smoothness, yet a fantastic improvement over hand held

The GoPro Karma Grip seems like a very well made product with strong, solid construction and good fit and function. However, the way it behaves is strange at times. It does provide very smooth, steady video with my GoPro Hero5 Black, but sometimes it tilts to one side or the other and you get crooked video. I have a DJI Phantom 3 and its camera is rock solid steady and stays level no matter what, and it's flying around on an aircraft that is tilting and turning in all directions. I was only using the Karma Grip mounted in my car when it was tilting and turning on its own for no apparent reason. The Karma Grip is also advertised as wearable and usable with any GoPro mount, which is what sold me on it. I have many GoPro mounts but the only way I was able to wear it was with the GoPro harness, but I had to wear it incorrectly to get the camera where I needed it to be. It worked but not very well and only as a workaround. It might be more wearable if the accessory cable was available so you can detach the gimbal from the grip and mount just the gimbal on the mounts. I might have considered keeping it and waiting for the connecting cable to become available so I could try other mounts, but I only had 15 days with Best Buy to try it out. But even so, the random tilting and turning was a deal breaker anyway. There's also limited functionality with the Karma Grip compared to some other stabilizers coming to the market that can control the camera's tilt and pan remotely, which would be very useful to me so I'll wait to see how that works out before buying another.

Just get the new GoPro 7, has built in stabilization. Stabilizer is too big and impractical in real world use.

I purchased a GoPro Hero5 for our trip to Zion and Havasu Falls. While in Utah I stopped at Best Buy and picked this Karma Grip and it was the best decision. Super smooth video even while climbing down a steep cliff. Check out my video on YouTube, search “ezkobar87”

    Best gimbal out for GoPro

I purchased this gimbal prior to my vacation to use with my GoPro Hero 5 Black. Although GoPro Hero 5 Black has digital image stabilization function built in, it's not good enough and crops a small percentage of your footage. It's also not available for use in 4K mode. This gimbal is easy to use and worked for me flawlessly. One tip is to not mount this gimbal to a hard surface. This mount isn't made to withstand a lot of impact over time, and your GoPro will start showing "horizontal tilt" symptoms. For mounting to chest or hand gripping during snowboarding, or for vlogging, this is the perfect tool.

This is a great gimbal for the GoPro. I appreciate the integration with camera control buttons right on the handle and that it charges the GoPro as well. Battery life is good, but charging is slow with the included cable. I have the GoPro Supercharger, which I highly recommend as it cuts the recharge time by 50-75%.

You cannot own a GoPro without having this stabilizer! I will not use my GoPro without it. The difference isn't even funny with how smooth your motions are. The only downside is there is no way to use an external mic with it. GoPro had got to figure that piece out!

So I thought about the DJI Osmo, DJI Osmo mobile and the karma grip. The thing about the grip vs those is that the grip can be attached to almost any GoPro mount. I attached mine to a chest strap and took it on my dirt bike in the rocky New England woods. Editing the video and my jaw dropped! So smooth. It lacks some of the controls of the DJI like the horizon lock and the phone app controls. (GoPro could add app controls in the future) I got the damage protection plan. Best part is you can put a battery pack on the bottom and get extra juice but as it is the grip charges the GoPro too.
