First of all I would like to say that the frame that I am reviewing is the one that came with my GoPro hero5 black and was not purchased separately, however because my opinion of the GoPro is much higher than that of the frame I am writing it on this product page instead. Just as the description says this product is small and light. However after owning my GoPro and frame for less than 3 months I have found that it might just be a little too small and light. Despite the fact that my frame has not taken any extreme hits, the lower part where the frame attaches to mounts has already broken. This didn't even happen while I was using the camera; I simply had it in my relatively empty bag as I was walking across town. When I removed it to use my camera I found that one of the two mounting pieces had broken. On a positive note, it is light and the sound is not heavily affected by the frame. As far as functionality goes, it was good about not opening accidentally and not getting in the way. So all in all, worked well for me until it broke. Unfortunately I was dependent on the one that I had and cannot get to a store right now to buy a new one. The frame works just fine, however is not the most durable. Consider looking into more durable alternatives to have as a backup in case the one that comes with your GoPro breaks like mine did.

Great replacement frame. It fits just like the original.

It works good on my GoPro. The only concern is it is plastic with moving parts. It breaks easily.

I use my Hero 5 on multiple bikes, and various mounts. Having extra frames makes it effortless to swap from one use to another.

If you have a go pro hero 5, you need to have at least one of these frames if you want to mount it on anything. I suggest a few so that you don't have to take it off and move it around between your gear.

GoPRO knows how to make accessories that works great for what you want to do.

The camera comes with one but it's good to have an extra one just in case.

Provides average protection. Not expensive at all, but not too sturdy. If you're not going to be doing extreme sports, it's just fine.
