I like it, because you can wear your gopro like a watch and take cool videos wherever you go. You don't have to worry about losing your gopro, because it is pretty sturdy in there. And it's pretty strong too, because I fell on top of it, but I didn't get any scratches or nothing on my gopro.

Okay on bare wrist, better over a jacket sleeve

I primarily got this for recreational use with my kids. I took it on a hike and the way they made it was a little hard to use. When you flip it up, it has to be semi cockeyed on your wrist (it cuts into your radius since there isn't much tissue there) in order to capture something. Also your wrist gets very sweaty on a hot day from the padded part.
However, if it was on a ski jacket or wrapped around a bar (such as my stroller), it works great. When you tighten it down, it stays put.
Conclusion: I would recommend it. It has its purpose just like the harness they make (I use it the most), and I'm sure you'll have a purpose for it too.

I used this to take first person shots of my kids riding on the roller coasters at Disneyland. It's small enough that I had it on my wrist most of the time while I was walking around the park and didn't notice I was wearing it. It was like wearing a bulky watch.
When we got on rides I would try and Velcro it on to a bar in the front of the ride so I could capture my kids expressions while they were riding. Some rides it worked great on( California Screaming, Goofys Sky School). Others I could not find a decent bar to strap it to. For those the strap was a good way to wrap it around my hand and shoot videos while I was on a ride.

The strap is good quality and makes me feel better about it not falling off. Which is def a plus considering the price of the go pro. the strap is diffcult to get used to but you can unhook the top part of the housing use the camera better with your opposite hand but if your doing anything active, you might not be able to do that. Some attractions at amusement parks wont let you use the go pro with the wrist strap because of getting your arm caught or damaging equipment so you may want to think about the chest strap. I don't know if I can bring myself to wear the chest strap but I may have to.

This wrist mount solved our problem of having to hold onto the grab bar to video while snorkeling. It frees up your hands, with no worries of dropping the Go-Pro

GoPro wrist housing works well. Fits securely without feeling bulky on your wrist but it did take me a little while to train myself to keep the wrist steady for a better vid. My only complaint is that there are a few bits of sand that got inside the housing when i was taking the gopro out after a snorkeling trip. they are stuck in the front inside lens area and while it doesn't effect the shot, my concern is they come loose when the cameras in there and cause an issue. Tried rinsing them out to no avail. So be careful if you've been playing at the beach.

Has an improved latch over the wrist housing on my hero 2 that adds some safety underwater. Great for close ups of fellow divers but you may want to use a stick if you want to get close ups of creatures....keeps you farther away from sharp teeth

This is the camera to get, its rugged, small, and has great quality. Though a bit pricy you get what you pay for. If I had a choice I would get another one.

strap is uncomfortable and the rubber that holds the housing in place stretched way too easily. Used it once and now its really loose that it barely holds the camera in place

Using this for snorkeling was the best b/c I would wear it swimming and then take it off too film the fish or sea turtles when I got to the location. Its very hard to film wearing it on the wrist b/c you have to hold your arm at a weird angle but you can easily strap it on or off to start swimming or filming again. It's worth the extra $20 if you are snorkeling

A lot of the helmet cams don't have many options for mounting to your chest. With the Go Pro you can. It gives a great view while skiing or riding your motorcycle. With the chest mount you can look around and the camera will stay straight.

This is a great product, and easy to use with a lot of comfort, buy the problem is the direction of camera when you use this band. The direction of camera is your left or right side, but I prefer the front side bands.

This is a very well built mount. Unfortunately I really haven't found a good use for it yet. I originally bought it to go skydiving but then was not allowed to wear any camera gear when I jumped. I tried to use it more surfing but really couldn't find a good was to use it. If you find a good use this can definitely be a solid mount...

I used it while scuba diving off the coast of Mexico. It's good for what it is. Minus one star for its lack of mobility. You can't really move the camera any other direction than up and down the wrist band.

This accessory helps a lot! It keeps your hands free and still allow you to carry your camera to shoot your videos. Easy to "dress and undress" in your wrist and even easier to insert and remove the camera from it.
