I have used 3 or 4 air fryers now and this one is one of my favorites. It's large, has just about all the presets you may be looking for, and cooks great and fast. I got it on sale for 49.99, which is a steal for a 6qt unit. At the regular 99.99 price you could get a stainless steel model at other retailers, but at 49.99, you will be hard pressed to find a better deal.

I have no idea how this thing works, but everything I've cooked (mozzarella sticks, country fried steaks) has a nice crispy outside and cooked perfectly on the inside. No oil; no mess. Easy to take apart and clean. This specific model is even large enough to hold a full 5 lb chicken for a rotisserie style chicken. I fully recommend.

The reasons that I picked were 1. size (it's big) and 2. price (I got it when it was 50% off). It did not disappoint me. Worked as it supposed to be and prepared food very fast. I knocked down one point is because it had a plastic smell during the heating (there was no burning, just the smell which I did not like).

First of all, the first one I received was apparently a return because there were not books or paperwork with it and it did not work. BUT, the local store happily took it back and exchanged it for me. Way to go Best Buy! Love the unity between store and online service! The second one I received works great! We love fried chicken (among other things) and it came out very nicely browned, tender and juicy inside, and delicious! I was able to get 4 large chicken breasts in it. I am anxious to try some of the recipes in the book, like the Southwestern Stuffed Peppers! YUM! It has a big basket (6 qt) and would be good for medium to large families, although you may have to do multiple baskets (but this is no different than a regular deep fryer). The basket is non-stick and cleans up easily and quickly. The digital features are easy to use and are adjustable to suit your individual needs for larger or smaller recipes. I bought it on a DOTD offer at 50% off, so an EXCELLENT value! I would definitely buy it again and possibly at full price. :-)

I am so happy with my air fryer. It beats having to turn stove on especially on these hot days. I cook everything from chicken tenders, french fries to meatloaf in mine. Food taste so much better than regular frying in grease and baking in the oven. Much healthier also. Oh and let me tell you, if you love wings, you're going to love them in this fryer. I marinade mine and put them in. They come out so crispy and moist. A must have!

Perfect for a family of four. Does exactly what it says. Food is healthier cooked this way and tastes great. The only complaint that I have about this is the plastic smell it gives off while cooking. Have used it about 5 or 6 times and the smell of hot plastic is still strong while in use. I love it even with the smell and will continue to use it.

I have been eyeing air fryers for a couple of years. This showed up as a deal of the day and I thought.. why not! Ordered it, and it has been used every day since it arrived. Easy to use, cooks everything I have put in it flawlessly! Wings, broccoli, brussel sprouts, chicken thighs, chicken breasts, and BACON! Do yourself a favor... if you cook bacon at least 4 times a year... buy this appliance. You will thank me the first time you cook bacon in it.

I had been looking at this type of appliance for some time and couldn't decide if I wanted one or not. The prices were always more than I wanted to spend for a product I wasn't sure I would like or use often. When I saw this sale I took a chance and got one. I'm glad I did. It's easy to use and easy to clean up. I taught my teen son how to use it to cook up some quick meals and snacks because he eats all day. It was a good purchase for us and the price was good as well. When you use it especially for the first time, there is a strong "new" smell that took over my whole house but it got better with each use. It does make a noise as it cooks but it's pretty quiet.

I really enjoy the technological design of this air fryer. 6 qt. is the perfect size if you are considering of which size to get for your new air fryer. The price makes it affordable and makes me daily meals much more convenient.

You hear good an bad about air fryers. One person says they're great, another says they're crap. So far, over a few weeks time our experiences has been mostly positive. We have tried many things but by far my favorite has been wings. Just sprayed them with some oil, applied wing dust liberally and let the air fryer perform it's magic. So far we've enjoyed restaurant taste fries of different varieties, cheese sticks, wings, chicken planks and fish. With this particular fryer, the controls are easy to figure out and pretty intuitive. You do have to experiment with cooking times and keep an eye on things so they don't over cook and get dried out I'm sure we'll develop a system over time. The nicest thing is, everything cleans up very easily. Instructions say to hand wash and it would be nice to put in the dish washer, but oh well. Over all I'm able to enjoy wings and tasty cheese sticks much more often because I always hated cleaning the Fry Daddy.

I highly recommend this Gourmet air fryer. I bought it to replace a NuWave 6 quart air fryer that I had to return, after two weeks, because the non-stick coating was flaking off. The coating on the Gourmia is much more durable and non-stick; you can feel the difference just by touching it. I have used the Gourmet to cook fresh meats including steaks, chicken, lamb, pork and fish, as well as pre-cooked frozen items like french fries, onion rings, tater tots, pierogies and chicken wings. Some items, like potato products and pierogies, benefit from adding a little bit of oil to get a similar mouth-feel to deep fried foods. Just place the food in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag with a couple tablespoons of oil (I use olive oil as it has a higher "smoke" temperature than regular vegetable oils) and shake it until every piece is slightly coated. Some people complain about the Gourmia in their reviews, saying it overcooks food. Let me explain something here: the cooking times listed in the manual are not set in stone. They are approximations, and it even says so if you bother to read it. Like any other cooking device, you should get to know it. Also, don't hesitate to check the progress of the cooking by pulling the basket out a little early and looking at the food or using a meat thermometer to gauge the doneness. Remember that there are two factors, other than the cooking temperature, that will affect cooking time; the amount of food you put in and the temperature of the food (ie frozen vs. refrigerated). Also keep in mind that air fryers can't cook "wet" battered foods; save those for the deep fryer, but it does a fine job with dry breading like Shake 'n Bake or just regular bread crumbs, just be sure to spray on a little cooking spray if you see any dry spots. With a little common cooking sense, you will love this great addition to your kitchen!

Can not beat the price for a 6 qt air fryer. No setup. A bit of a new machine smell during first use. Easy to follow instructions. So far I've just made chicken and pork chops they were both great.

We had a 4.5 quart with all the bells and whistles but need one with more room when cooking larger batches. Easy to use, easy to clean, food comes out perfectly. Highly recommend!

Where has this been all my life? This is the most used appliance in my house. I’m a busy mom with 3 kids. There are nights that we don’t get home until 9pm and we’ll only be having dinner by that time. So easy to pop something in the air fryer and in minutes food is ready! Whatever it is you’ll cook in this comes out fresh, crispy, and mess free every time! Best purchase I’ve ever made.

I shopped around a LOT and finally decided this would be my Air Fryer purchase. I have prepared fresh and frozen products in this. Fresh: Bacon, hamburger patty, fries, sweet potato fries. Frozen: Empanadas, battered fish, fries, breaded shrimp, chicken tenders. Cooking bacon is a whole lot easier and neater utilizing an air fryer and also will not give you a bacon smell in your house for the whole day (not that there's anything wrong with that :)

Much larger basket than our first air fryer. No warm up or preheat time required with this one. Unit is much quieter than the other one. It cooks the food much better, fries are very crispy. We are very happy with this purchase and the price on this unit was almost half of what similar sized models were. This one is a winner!

I’ve had this for about a year and still love using this thing!! Rarely do I ever use the over now, pretty much for storage. It cooks fast and being single the size is great for making meals for 1-2 but it is large to accommodate for more than that if needed. Clean up is easy as the nonstick works find and clean in the dishwasher.

This is a nice appliance as far as ease of use, speed, and size. If you're all about jumping the band wagon on an air fryer, I'd recommend this one. It's great if you want to make a side dish that you would usually make in the oven because there is no waiting for it to warm up. However, if you're planning on making the main course (i.e. "fried" chicken), I hope you're only making enough for one or two people at a time. Also, basket doesn't really lock in too well. It can be pulled out without having to engage the button.

We purchased this air fryer on black friday for $50. It was one of the best purchases I have done this year. The presets are good and the temp and time can be adjusted manually if you're not satisfied with the presets. I was even able to toast bread with the bake preset. I'm able to fit a whole bag of frozen fries without issues. I'm still figuring out how to cook meat or poultry, I can fit 2 decent size pork chops or 2 full chicken breast in the airfryer. I have cooked a 14 pack of chicken wings and they were all cooked to perfection.
