I don’t regularly write reviews but this needs one. 4 years ago In the middle of 2018. I bought my very first smart bulb it was a cheap one from Amazon like 10 bucks. But it was not bright at all it was like 100 lumens. So I discarded it. Then in late 2018. I bought my very first LIFX smart bulb at Best Buy and the LIFX 1100 lumen was super bright. I was happy with it until it hard reset itself. And it took me like an hour to set it up again. When I set the LIFX up again it worked until I think late 2020 when LIFX updated the app and the bulb did NOT work again! I tried to set it up with the app again but this time I couldn’t do it again I was sad because I loved the LIFX smart bulb. So I just left it in my lamp and forgot about it. Then I wanted a smart bulb for the living room and in late 2020 I wanted to try something different. So I went with the TP-Link Kasa 800 lumen Smart bulb. It was Okay. And the app did not has as many features as LIFX but the brightness was not the best but also not the worst. It still works But in late 2022 they updated the app and I realized that I cannot create scenes no more and I tried 30 minutes to try to fix the scenes and I couldn’t fix it. GOVEE 1200 LUMEN SMART BULB REVIEW COMING UP! So I researched best smart bulbs for brightness and app control but it was all different opinions some say LIFX some say Phillips Hue some even say TP-Link Kasa. So I was lost until Govee came out and it looked promising. I had Govee products before and it lasted with great app quality and still have Govee. So I found a 4 pack 800 lumens Govee WI-FI smart lights H6008 on Amazon but I wanted to buy it at Best Buy. So I went to Best Buy online and found something INSANE! And I found these 1200 LUMENS! Govee smart bulbs H6009 but it was a 2 pack but that’s fine because I just need 2 bulbs. So I went to Best Buy in person and bought it. Came home set it up and IT WAS JUST AS BRIGHT AS THE LIFX! it took like only 2 minutes to set up the bulbs and the reds and greens and blues was super vibrant! Almost as vibrant as the LIFX bulbs. This app is super easy and packed with more features then LIFX. It has brightness, colors, color wheel, scenes, diy, music mode, create your own scenes, and a lot more! But there was only one thing I didn’t like about these bulbs. Is when I mix colors with white. It does not activate the warm white leds it only activates the RGB whites. And when I do that it gets dimmer. I tried using the warm white leds with colors to make the color peach, lavender, etc. But it only activates the RGB white. Which is ugly and makes it very dim. But when I try to activate the Warm white leds then the colors won’t work. I also have 2 Alexa’s in my home and it works flawlessly. But overall these light are high quality. Super advanced app possibly more features then the LIFX app and cheap for the price of 2 ______________________________________________________________________________ Pros: 1. Feels heavy premium quality. 2. Easy to setup 3. Bright saturated colors. 4. Nice whites. 5. Has both Warm whites, Cool whites, and RGB whites. 6. Nice app with a lot of features. 7. Very cheap for the price. ______________________________________________________________________________ Cons: 1. Colors mixed with whites only uses RGB whites Example with blue and white in the photos. 2. A tiny tiny bit dimmer then LIFX. Might not be noticeable. 3. Doesn’t dim that much. ______________________________________________________________________________ Overall. This Govee smart bulb is like the Hyundai or Kia Of bulbs. The Hisense or TCL of bulbs. It has many features at a budget price. I only removed a star because the color and white only uses RGB whites. Maybe can be patched with an Update on the app. ______________________________________________________________________________ WARNING! This review might not be relevant in a few years from now. I only had this bulb for 1 day.

I was buying other brand bulbs and then I checked reviews and the Govee was highly recommended. They are extremely easy to set up and the high lumen is just what I needed.

I've added these bulbs to the arsenal of other Govee products in my home. After getting the app, these bulbs pretty much set themselves up if your phone is connected to the WiFi. Both bulbs are outside my home across the steel siding barrier but both are getting very good Wi-Fi reception and I've had no connectivity issues over the past 2 months. I will say the Govee app can be a bit daunting to navigate but I've gained plenty of experience with it since using the app for my Govee permanent outdoor lights. First and foremost, these bulbs are bright. They are currently set-up in my Google home routines to turn on in the early morning, turn off at sunrise, turn on at sunset, and turn off at night. I have both lights set to run at 1% and they still throw off ample light. When set to 100%, you'd better be wearing sunglasses as the sun is probably easier to look at. For the vast majority of the time I have these lights set to a warm white which provides a friendly warm and welcoming atmosphere to enter my home but these bulbs can literally be set to just about any color you can think of. There are countless themes that can also be used depending on the holiday or celebration. As for durability, only time will tell. The bulbs have some weight to them and overall feel solid. I have both bulbs outside the home within a light fixture with open bottom so they ware somewhat protected but still exposed to the elements. I anticipate as long as they're not exposed to water they should do just fine. Their first challenge is right around the corner as they will go through a true north winter where temps can reach as low as -60 with ample snow. The review will be updated should these bulbs fail. Overall, I would highly recommend these smart bulbs for anyone looking to jazz up their home or any kind of lighting. I would avoid these bulbs for anyone who has a difficult time navigating a smartphone or app. That said, these bulbs can function as a standalone product without using the app and more of a traditional light. What I mean by this is right out of the package you can plug these bulbs into a light fixture and the light will turn on and off without any setup. But if all your looking for is a traditional light bulb there are way cheaper led options.

Good product works well would buy again bright output

The app takes a little time to get used to but after you figure it out it's a breeze to navigate. The app has a lot of settings for different moods and functions that are fun to play around with. Even if you just want to use it as a normal lightbulb. The business, reading, and study settings are my everyday favorites. Personally I use the study setting and turn the brightness down.

Works fine and easy to set up. You will have to install an app to make it work. It set up easily with Alexa.

Easy setup and connection. The bulb is bright at full illumination. White light has a slide to switch between a cool or warm tone. Preset single color options as well as a color wheel to set a custom color to save. These work excellent with other Govee products via their app as you can put lights (if you have other products &/or other bulbs) into groups that you can assign individual colors to each light source, or have all lamps share a blend of colors (preset & user made). I plan to replace all my lamp bulbs with these RGBs. These are not designed to be used in closed light fixtures, so keep that in mind.

These are very nearly perfect. For all of the colors on the white spectrum they're very very bright and good at lighting a room. I have mine transition from a bright daylight setting to a warm white through my workday in order to help with sleep. The only downside and the reason I rated it 4/5 is because any color that isn't white is quite a bit darker, even things like a hot pink relatively close to white is only half as bright as the white options.

Seriously worth the price. I put these in my bedroom, they’re great. I’ve had cheaper no-name color changing LED bulbs before, and they just aren’t great. Spend the extra money on these bulbs, especially if you already have other Govee devices. The app is great and the bulbs are very bright (and dimmable to be dark if needed).

Easy set up. They work great - connected to Amazon.

It fit most of the bulbs in my house but just not under the cover that I had on my fan but overall great use and purchase no complaints
