It seemed to me that the instructions where a little vague and didn't explain much. Also to us the screen you need to go out and buy the songs and wait for them to send you a cd. You do get four songs free. But what I like most about it is that you can use the Aux port and plug it into a tablet and use youtube for the songs. most songs have a Karaoke version of the song and it works just as good if not better than the on board screen because it is bigger and you and put it in front of you. It also sounds great. As a family we have been having lots of fun with it

Purchased this for a family with boys aged 3.5 and 2 years - they really loved it and it was fun for our party. The sound is good and it's easy to set up and use. There was only one microphone included, but it has capacity for two - purchased a second mic at Radio Shack (omni directional) for $35 and it worked great. Also, the screen is very small, so there's really no way to read the lyrics while "performing". That said, for the price, we considered it a good purchase and really enjoyed it.

Nice sound. Fun for the kids. The controls are big and easy to use. Just plug in and play. The device can be plugged in to the TV for easy view of the words. The small 4 inch screen is hard to see from a distance.

I bought this about a month as a gift for my young kids, and we have used it about 3 times so far. It's very easy to use on its own, or it can be hooked up to a television so the font of the lyrics is easier to read. I believe it can be hooked up to a receiver for better sound as well. The unit itself is portable - so you can take it to grandmas, etc. It comes with one microphone, but a second mic can be purchased. You have to buy the song discs separately, but there are lots of options with those. The price of this unit is very reasonable and it seems suitable for ages 3 and up.

This is a pretty good machine so far. My kiddos were so excited to open it up and start singing. The two don't really want to share the microphone, so we just went out and bought a second one. The only problem is that you have to get special CD+G CDs to make the words appear on the screen. These seem to be pretty expensive and not geared towards my younger (7 and 5) kiddos. Other than that, the machine works great and they are having a blast hearing their amplified voices.

Bought this to carry with me to places with no sound systems like nursing homes. Excellant product for the price. Has a great sound quality and is light to carry.

I bought this for my daughters (age 10 & 6) for Christmas. The price was good and reviews I had read were pretty good. I purchased 2 karaoke tyme disks to use with this but on Christmas morning, my excited girls were severely disappointed because the screen did not work. We called GPX and surprisingly a representative answered their customer service number and tried to tell me that the cds were causing it not to work. I explained that they had nothing to do with the screen due to them being cd+rw but the man was ride and unhelpful. I returned the machine to best buy and they promptly got another one for me and opened it up in store, and plugged it in to ensure it worked. Best Buy customer service is top notch, my girls LOVE the karaoke machine, and def worth the money however, just make sure it works before buying :)

We bought this for our 4 year old, but all of our kids love it. It hasn't broken yet, and the sound is quite good. We've been very happy with it. Would it suffice for an adult party? Probably not, but it is perfect for just messing around at home. I do think that we could use it as an informal PA system if need be.

I bought this for my daughter for her 9th birthday. The microphone stopped working about a week after I bought it but Bestbuy exchanged it with no problem and the new one has been working fine. My daughter loves it and it's also fun for the whole family, especially at small parties or get togethers. I would recommend getting the best buy extended warranty for $20.

easy to use, good screen as part of machine to read the words, good sound quality

I bought this for my 8 year old granddaughter for Christmas and it was the hit of the day. We did not hook it up to a TV and only used it with CD-G disk so I don't know about all of it's functions. Having the built in screen made it's use very child friendly and following along to the words is good reading practice too.

Easy to set up, worked right out of the box, after we purchased a separate CD-G.

It is easy to use and my girls love it! They are 6, 8, and 9 and they have no problem operating it. I love it because it encourages them to be better readers (learning the lyrics). They are dancing while singing, which encourages them to get up and move. Its very mobile so we can move it from room to room or to a friends house easily. Hours of endless fun!

A lot of research was done to review the available karaoke machines available. This one had the best reviews and was priced reasonably. The features appeared to be well thought out. This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my grand-daughter.

This karaoke was a value purchase when considering the features included with it. The sound quality is as good as many regular CD players. We have entirely enjoyed our often "off keyed" group singing sessions as a family, or just taking turns individually in a fun atmosphere.

Very easy to use, even my 10 year old nephew was able to operate this device. Easy to set up, and as soon as we plugged it in, we had access to everything we needed to spent a fun weekend with friends and family. It is definitely a must have.

MY KIDS LOVE IT!!!! IT'S VERY EASY FOR BOTH GIRLS TO MANAGE ON THEIR OWN AND WITH FRIENDS.THEY THINK IT'S SHOWTIME AT THE APOLLO. IT DOES THE JOB I WAS LOOKING FOR, TO ENTERTAIN THE GIRLS AND GET THEM TO PRACTICE THEIR MUSICAL TALENTS.

Overall the machine is fun and serves its intended purpose. It's economically built with a pressboard back that is less than attractive. The VGA monitor is disappointing as It is small and hard to read. For the price, the unit is satisfactory and is fun family entertainment.

Good product for the price, hard to find old fashioned systems this was great for my mom.

Great for the kids. Even the adults enjoy it from time to time. The only thing that we don't like about this particular machine is that you can't hook and iPod to it :(
