The good: This is the best GTA since Vice City IMO. The story is engaging if a little difficult to follow at times. The ability to switch between 3 characters is genius and a step forward for open world games. The amount of stuff to do is just ridiculous. Voice acting and music is great as always. The not so good: Driving and flying can be difficult until you get your driving skill up, even then doing stunts in planes is still pretty hard. Figuring out what to do during some missions is simple trial and error, often requiring you to play it at least twice after you screw up the first time. Some of the animation is odd, such as when guys walk down stairs looking like they just got off a ten-day horse ride.

I love the game, good combination of the things that made GTA 3 and 4 great. Less dark than GTA 4. Really pushes what is possible with the graphics on the XBOX 360, very few artifacts. I was not sure before I got the game that I would like the multiple character game play, once I played the game it feels natural. This element works very well with the story. The vehicles finally drive decent. As always a great soundtrack. One of the things that makes a good open world game in my opinion is that you are often distracted from doing the main missions in the game by finding things to do as you explore the city, I would have never played the golf game otherwise. Great game, recommend that you give it a shot.

This game is as hardcore as it gets. Great story so far (18%). Driving, shooting and camera work is ten times better than GTA 4. Graphically there are no complaints. A lot more detail has been programmed into the game and that should be expected on a next gen console paying on large hdtv's. To all the fathers out there with young kids. This game is definitely not suitable to be played around them. From the nudity at the strip clubs and the foul language, you would be better off waiting for bed time to fire it up. But that is what makes this game great. There are not many "adult" games out there these days and GTA5 fills that void.

This game has a great story, with 3 PLAYABLE characters. Which makes the game even better. There so much to do from Golf ,tennis, racing, stealing from banks, side quest, stranger stuff, and just a great overall experience. I cant wait til the online is out. MMO GTA hell ya.The driver and the core mechanics of the game is so much better then any of the others ones. The only downside i have about this game is the radio stations are horrible. There is suppose to be over 250 songs and all i hear is the same boring songs. Also the shooting mechanics still need some work with lock on and off but over i would give this game a 9.5/10

GTA 5’s great innovation is the use of three protagonists rather than one. After a brief prologue sequence you start the game as Franklin, a young, ambitious former gang banger working for a suspect car dealer. GTA 5 uses this initial period to get you used to the fundamentals of the gameplay before throwing in Michael, a retired master thief supposedly living in a rich, domestic dream, but actually in the grip of a disastrous mid-life crisis. Franklin becomes the catalyst for Michael’s return to crime, and this in turn introduces Trevor. Unhinged, ultra-violent and psychotic, Trevor is the most extreme anti-hero GTA has ever produced. It would be doing you a disservice to tell you more of how this all pans out, but we can talk about how it works in the game. Some of the time you’re restricted to the one protagonist, but generally you can switch between the three, doing a mission or two as one to move the plot forward or waste a little time, then switching to another when you want to move their storyline onwards. At specific points the plotlines intersect, and you have missions involving two or three of the protagonists. Here you can switch from character to character when it makes sense to do so, and sometimes the game makes the switch for you. Each has his own set of talents, not to mention his own special capability – involving slow motion, increased damage, added resilience and faster reflexes in motion – making switching a crucial part of the action. There’s more to this choice than gameplay. Having three protagonists enables GTA 5 to explore different stories, different themes and different styles of GTA. Michael has the smarts and the experience, but is trapped by the choices he’s made. His missions focus on setting up jobs and protecting what’s his. Franklin wants what Michael has, but might not know the real costs of getting it. He’s looking for the money, but also the respect. Trevor, meanwhile, is the rogue factor. In some respects his tale plays out like a redneck Scarface, and he’s a natural focus for the mayhem that GTA 4 was missing. Yet there’s also more to Trevor than at first appears. He might be a monster, but he still has principles, maybe even feelings. Read more at http://www.trustedreviews.com/gta-5_Games_review#3H5LzCx5dj8pXMLp.99

I got GTAV on release day and have probably logged in about 15 hours thus far. Still feel like i've barely scratched the surface. The map is enormous and everything seems upgraded from the previous installment. Driving is more finely tuned. All vehicles one can think of are usable. The 3 main character setup makes for very interesting gameplay. As a die hard Grand Theft Auto fan this to me is the best one to date. Get it. You won't be disappointed.

Great gameplay mechanics, i.e. shooting and driving, graphics, sound, music and overall living open world. The story is well written and missions are fun. Most people will love this game. However, some like me, will not enjoy it much because you have to play evil. I cannot immerse myself in a game that force you to kill, even innocent people, to progress. The police is too forgiving and the living world is unrealistic. I know this is a game but you should pay for bad actions. You can crash other vehicles, steal cars and even kill people at will, and nothing will happen to you. If at least the police will chase you a little harder, you will think before committing a crime. This would be one of my favorite games of all time if it did not force me to play like an untouchable super psychopath.

If there is one lasting memory from my teenage years, it’s staying up late at night playing the latest iteration of Grand Theft Auto. I could spend hours on end on the game trying to complete missions or simply driving around killing hookers among the many other pedestrians in the game. My favorite was always San Andreas because of the sheer size. GTAV too is based in San Andreas and it has a huge map, very huge! In fact the game has mimicked the Pacific Ocean floors as well. Sure there’s a lot to do, but what really makes GTA for me is the stories. If you’ve ever watched a great scene from a TV/Movie drama and wished you could relive that scene, GTAV is about the closest thing available that lets you do that. I loved this game. It was so well written. The script on this game rivals some of the best from Hollywood. In fact, there are parts in this game that will remind you of the show Breaking Bad. Some parts will remind you of The Wire. But do not discount the original story line either. You take on the role of Franklin, Michael, and Trevor. I’d tell you the background of the characters, but I might ruin the story. The controls have been updated and refreshed as well. It feels like GTA’s of old, but they’ve improved a lot! What would a GTA game be without a great soundtrack? This game has it all. About the only issue I had with the game is that the graphics shutters sometimes. This was observed both on the PS3 and Xbox versions. The cops are a little ruthless as well, but that’s about it. Get the game. Don’t read this review, just buy it.

Rockstar games has routinely struck gold with the Grand Theft Auto series and this latest installment is no different. With GTAV, Rockstar has outdone themselves in every department. You play the role of three different characters with very different personalities as they all come together to get heist jobs done. In addition to experiencing the main campaign, there seamlessly seems to be over hundreds of other side things to do, whether its playing a game of tennis, to street racing to investing money in the stock market...there just seems to be a niche that everyone can find. The voice acting is top notch, the music fits the game perfectly and the graphics are the best this current generation of consoles can push out (PS3 and Xbox 360). You can tell that Rockstar has pushed everything to its extreme limits. Rockstar (alongside with Bethesda) have mastered sandbox-style, open-world gaming and with GTAV, they have polished it to as close to perfection as you can get. Parents should be aware that this game has heavily mature themes, with strong content, including racial slurs, swearing, full topless nudity as well as other graphically mature content.

The game has great graphics and an in depth storyline. The map is larger and has more items that can be interacted with. The game, was done correctly. The only thing I've noticed is the language in the game is much heavier than all previous games and there are a few parts that I question, for example a torture scene, where you control the torturer. A little over the top. Overall, the game was well done.

GTA never disappoints. Better than GTA 4. Graphics are a better. Great story line. Only played for short time and already consumed. This game has everything. Bikes, airplanes, scuba diving, racing, off roading, etc. Game is not for kids, lots of adult content here. When I went to the gentleman's club, that caught my girlfriends eye to ,"What are you playing?" LOL! Cant wait to play more. Rock on GTA V!

It's amazing how the next generation of gaming consoles are right around the corner and already being demonstrated, but the most mind-blowing, amazing game has just been released for the near obsolete consoles we already have. This shows that game design will always trump hardware capabilities. It's better to have both, obviously, but great game design with ok hardware is much better than great hardware with an ok game. I'm a casual gamer with limited time. I've played all GTAs going back to the beginning, but never finished one. GTA V is the absolute best yet, and I'm eager to try to finish this game. The storyline is much more compelling, and when I drop in to just play a mission or two, the missions never feel like every other mission. There's always something cinematic, surprising, and challenging to do. When I'm done and I do a little free roaming, it's amazing the variety of locations it's possible to get lost in. Just get on the highway and race full speed weaving in and out of traffic, stop somewhere and look around and realize that everything to the horizon in every direction can be explored. If it's time to turn off the XBox and you're too far from any safe house, just use the new quick save feature and turn it off. When you come back to it, your progress is saved but the character you were playing might have gone off and done his own thing, so you start from somewhere else altogether. It's possible to lose a lot of hours on this game.

This game is a really unique experience. The sheer scale of the game is massive. In just one day I played a round of tennis, a round of golf, participated in a triathlon, bought stock, and took in several story missions. Going into this game I was a little worried about the mechanic that would be used to run a 3 character system. But it works well and is a nice way to switch between rolls. The story is interesting and pulls you in. I even enjoy the references to the last game. They brought in what worked for them from the last few games and combined it with what worked in 4. Tweaking the features to make them better. The car damage in this game is high quality as well. You can even break the axels on the car making it fun. Cop AI also seemed to be much better then in past games, but it's still not infallible. I was able to escape them twice in a stolen bus! It's also impressive to see how you can customize everything in this game. You can change your clothes, hairstyle, weapon colors and accessories, not to mention the items you can put on your car. I'm even working on a special project car that I am putting money into to make the best possible car. Only major drawback to this game would be the song listing. To me it just doesn't seem to be as strong as the past games. Don't get me wrong it's not horrible. But it just doesn't seem to be as filled out as the last few games have been. But overall this is a fantastic product from rockstar.

Yeah, yeah. So there's a new GTA. Yet another iteration of another heavy-hitter. It seems that the mainstream gaming market is parched and all but the most hardcore gamer seems to have stopped caring. Gaming needs to look to motion picture as an omen, not a business model. Perhaps if developers risked fiscal certainty for creativity, or abandoned the 'familiar franchise + massive open world = good enough' formula... Or Maybe we should just play Skyrim until revisiting Ironman sounds like a good idea again. I planned on entertaining myself on that very soapbox while NOT buying GTA V. Somehow, though, my boyfriend presented a compelling case and convinced me to order it for him the day it came out. After hearing tale of Call of Duty: Black Friday, I didn't think there was any way I would get my hands on a copy. Wrong! Ok, so this game must not be that good, then, right? Wrong-er! The soundtrack is pretty awesome. That's quite a feat, in my book, given that people seem to be more likely to share a thumbprint than taste in music. The story is engaging pretty much from the start. The voice acting is good to great. The characters are likable. The graphics/design were obviously given a lot of consideration. I guess the only thing I can think of that is even remotely deserving of criticism is the iFruit app. I will leave it at that, since I'm happy that efforts weren't wasted on an afterthought--at least it was a novel idea..

This is by far the best Grand Theft Auto game ever! I love how huge they made the map in this one and love the incredible attention to detail. I also love being able to interact with more of the characters, including many who have nothing to do with the campaign or story. I love being able to customize my vehicles with armor, bullet-proof tires, custom paint and wheels, and performance mods. And I love being able to buy planes, a hanger at the airport, helicopters, a helipad, boats, a boat slip at the marina, cars, garages to store more cars in, and businesses. I love the inclusion of forest covered mountains, deserts, an ocean, an inland sea, a river, wild animals, small towns, and a sprawling city based on L.A. I also love that it has a very intricate story, but allows players to ignore the story and do their own thing for as long as they like. The only things that would of made it better is if they made the real estate website functional for browsing and purchasing homes and businesses, allowed the player to buy furniture, pool tables, and dart boards for the homes, and offered downloadable content to turn the implied scenes into graphic interactive scenes. Overall, it's the best Grand Theft Auto game ever, and at least one of the best games ever, if not THE best. But, it is really a game that is only suitable for adults. This is NOT a game for minors!

I really love the game so far, it has had an amazing story and wonderful game play. The driving is much improved along with overall feel of the game. The only downside is that occasionally some of the textures in the game load slowly. This minimally takes away from the game experience overall but it is noticeable. I wonder if the Xbox One will have the same issue or not.
