I've been mowing lawns for 55+ years and know what I like in a mower. Although this model was fairly light in weight, it was more difficult to handle than I would have liked. Also didn't care for the battery charge-life - it was too short.

We are sad to hear the rear wheel drive is a match for your needs. For all Greenworks mowers, we advise against operating on slopes greater than 15 degrees. This is not a limitation of the unit, but rather to ensure safe operation for the user. An operator should not attempt to mow on a slope until they are very familiar with the equipment. RWD mowers offer better traction, particularly on hills and uneven surfaces, as the rear wheels can grip the ground more effectively. They also tend to maintain traction better when the grass bag is full. We have a video that will show you how to operate your self-propelled mower. Works, but battery doesn't last

However, the battery doesn't last very long. The 1/2 acre on one charge doesn't take into account any hills or thinkness of grass. The auto-power-up boost will drain the battery before you get even close to 1/2 acre.

Posted .Hello DPar - Thank you for sharing. If you are using the self-propelled feature, the mower will attempt to move forward and will be difficult to move backwards. You would have to release the self-propelled lever to pull the mower backwards while still holding onto the start lever. We hope this helps.
