The first thing I had to learn about the Greenworks 80 Volt (V) 2.0AH (Amp Hours) was what Volt and Amp Hours were - Volts is how much juice the battery can push out into the device, and Amp Hours is how long it can push that juice from fully charged to charge again. Greenworks batteries range from 2.0 AH to 8.0 AH. depending on how much power is needed for the tool type. Some products take multiple batteries, while others take only one. and small products need less AH than the bigger ones like lawnmowers. Be sure to look at the product specs to determine which battery is needed for each product so you can get the right battery for each device. This product when compared to other models is physically ligher but offers a shorter run time. It recharges quickly, in about 30 minute. It shares the same formeatures as the Greenworks - 80 Volt 4.0 AH Battery and can be charged in the same dock. I appreciated the rubber grips on the upper/ lower on the top and bottom of the outside edge of the battery to make it easier to grip when putting in and pulling out of tools. I appreciated the way the batteries can be swapped on the go with little or no downtime between. It is easy to grip and slip out of the charging dock as well, which can sit on the table or be mounted to the wall for up and out of the way use. The the battery charge indicater LED display is user-facing, and operated by the push of a button. No need to take off gloves or stop to check. You'll know in just a moment how much juice is left and when I'm in the groove, I like that there's no guesswork. One simple button tells me if I'm ready to go for the next job, or if the battery needs a top off. I would recommend picking up an additional charging dock and an additional battery or two if the products you have don't come with enough to have one charging while one is being used. Batteries work great. In fact we want to purchase another battery for our collection. Waiting for a good sale price.

a little hard to seat in the cradle but overall it works great. has good power and when used in my snowblower it clears the walk and driveway with very little effort.

Defintely freat to have on hand as a back up, and is much needed ifnyou have multiple electric powered items.

Saw this more expensive than the other battery option and still to this day have no idea what was the difference between the batteries. I did know that I would most likely need more than one( One came with a package I bought.) Not sure you will feel all that good spending the more money. This battery though is decent. will mark it to recommend but I can not say with 100 percent confidence that it will meet your expectations.

Green works battery works as intended. Of note, battery will not charge if warm after using.

Battery is very heavy and quite expensive. Does provide adequate power.

Yes these batteries cost a lot, but they are defintely worth having!!! They don’t take long to recharge.

Last much longer than 2.5AH battery that came with original tool. Glad i purchased this when i did, really help clean up yard. Extended the life of all my Greenworks tools.

Works good. It has to be in a warm place in order for the charger to charge the battery.

1 battery was barely enough, had to get an extra one to mow both front and back yard in one go.

Good replacement for all greenworks equipment. I think it charges like 30 mins and it’s full.

The battery lasts less than 20 minutes, which is far below expectations. I purchased it along with the mower, believing it would be sufficient for my 5,000 sq ft lawn. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed—I have to recharge it at least three times just to finish mowing. When I reached out to customer service, I was met with a long list of operating instructions and excuses rather than support or a resolution. They seemed more focused on avoiding responsibility than helping. I strongly recommend staying away from this product.
