Ordered this dec 2025 arrived Jan 2026 forklifted into my garage and was able to assemble the rest of the unit in alittle over an hour. Had a battery that wouldn't take a charge but called the greenworks customer service directly and I had a replacement in 2-3 days. Haven't had the chance to mow and grass with it yet but really impressed with how the unit functions.

Buyer beware - if anything goes wrong with this mower, the Greenworks customer service is beyond horrible. I bought this mower and during the second time mowing my 1 acre lawn, the blade suddenly malfunctioned and literally cut 3 inches into the housing steel of the mower.....very fortunate no one was injured. This was two months ago and I have been dealing with the "customer service" ever since trying to get the warranty to fix it. After two months of not having an operable mower, I still have zero answers on what happened or where to take the mower to get looked at/serviced. I get the run around every time I call them - "they are looking into the possible cause" and "will find a service center" to take the mower.......they even suggested I take the mower apart myself to diagnose what malfunctioned. Beyond ridiculous.........I would highly suggest buying a different $5,000 mower.......Greenworks is absolutely horrible

Mostly Good but Battery Life not as promised

Into my second season with this mower and I’m mostly satisfied. I bought this mower to cut a large property. Approximately 2 acres including the house and a few areas that don’t need to be cut. So maybe 1.6-1.7 acres of actual cut. Batteries (4ah) charge quickly but I can only cut about half the yard on a single charge with the most battery conscious settings - the speed is great but it kills the battery making it jump from 35% battery life to 5%. In fact, if I jump the gun on the batteries before they’re fully charged then I find myself waiting for a 3rd charge. This is not a new phenomenon, I can’t imagine a scenario when I could cut 2 acres on a single charge, might be true for the 8ah batteries. It makes a big difference turning a 2hr cut into 3.5hrs. No complaints otherwise, it’s a great mower but personally if I had known how out of reach 2acres was then I might’ve chosen differently. The cost for additional batteries is like $1400 for 6 4ah or $2200 for 6 8ah. I’d be about halfway to a 2nd mower to fix my problem. It’s possible that a couple of my batteries are just defective and I’m living off 4 working batteries but it’d be quite a project to isolate battery combos and try to find the weak one (15 unique battery combos to test ,time and track) If you’re looking to cut a larger property just expect it to do an acre per charge.

Hello WilliamC. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry to hear you are not fully happy with the runtime you are getting with the battery included. As we are not sure of the condition of your lawn, we are not exactly sure why the battery did not meet your expectations. The maximum runtime often applies to a relatively flat, open yard. Slopes and obstacles require more power, and users can expect running time to be less, if this is the case. Runtime measurements are also related to the condition of the grass and if it is well-maintained. Tall, thick grass requires more power, and you must mow it slower, consuming added runtime. Here are a few tips to ensure the max runtime is achieved. Ensure you charge the battery fully before each use, maintain the battery properly by cleaning terminals, avoid extreme temperatures during storage. Consider buying a second battery for larger lawns, this mower can be used with Greenworks 80V battery. Mow in a straight line and choose a mower with a powerful battery suitable for your lawn size. If the grass has been left to exceed 4 inches, we advise that you raise the cutting height and cut no more than one-third of the length of grass at a time, wait a couple of days and do another one-third, cut when grass is dry and walk at steady pace to allow the blade to work more efficiently. As the lawn becomes consistently maintained you will see the cut and runtime improve. Hope these tips help! If you ever have specific questions or concerns about our products, contact Greenworks via Live chat on our website (www.greenworkstools.com), call Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934 or refer to the FAQ ask section of the tool or ask us a question, anytime. Mower arrived but had incorrect chargers (chargers were for an 82V commercial mower instead of an 80V pro model. Called customer service - they apologized and shipped correct chargers same day. Outstanding customer service! The mower is GREAT! I have .4 acre and I get 3 mows from 6 4ah batteries. It’s quiet, does a great job, and doesn’t stink or get hot.

Purchased JULY 2024. Bought a snow blower (also 80V) 4 months later. Both still under warranty and batteries are not compatible. GEN2 changed. Can't share batteries. Offered to exchange new for old and they refused. Takes 1 hr to get a hold of customer service. Two of the dual chargers broke already. Will take 2 weeks to get more. One side goes different max speed then the other.
