Really takes you back. A film fort eg whole family.

Gremlins is a well-loved classic, but I was surprised that this presentation was much better than I was led to believe by some reviews. It's wonderfully filmic and carries a beautiful grainfield that was thankfully reproduced properly. For being a relatively modestly-budgeted film, this 4K presentation holds up exceedingly well. I do wish WB had included a new 1080p disc based on the new master, though.

One of the prime examples of Comedy Horror; the gizmo creature is adorable...and you're left screaming at the kid whenever he inadvertently harms gizmo in some way XD When the Gremlins do pop up things gets hilariously terrifying, props to Joe Dante and Chris Columbus for giving this movie it's all. And that "Mega Madness" song...THAT is gonna be stuck in my head forever...along with a Gremlin doing the "Flashdance".

This review is for the packaging, not the movie. The movie is a 5 star movie in my opinion. These new slim "Magno" cases that are coming out look nice, but have some flaws that I would like to point out. The material used is like a thin metal or aluminum. Fresh out of the shrink wrap, you can already see several scratches & scuffs all over the case artwork, inside & out. The discs are held in place by a round disc shaped cutout and a small lip on the bottom of the cutout to stop the disc from slipping out. This lip can potentially cause scrapes when removing & replacing the disc over time. Also the disc makes contact on the metal case when placing the disc in its cutout space. I feel this will also cause scratches over time. Overall, I think the design looks nice but some of the features are poorly thought out. I think Digibooks are better designed than these new "Magno" cases.

Nothing better than reliving this Christmas tale horribly gone wrong. In the 80s Gizmo was everywhere. Pop culture was much different back then. Movies for kids were entertaining for adults too. Unless it’s a marvel movie there is no connection kids can share with their parents. Enjoy this movie for the wholesome innocent fun that it is and remanence about a simpler time in life, movies, and family bonding.

Gremlins is a classic! Saw in the movies as a kid and used to watch it all the time. Christmas movie? Horror movie? Both to be debated. At any rate, bring back nostalgia from my youth. The steelbook itself is very nice. The transfer looks great to me and better than the Blu-Ray but there's is some debate on the quality on some websites. It's worth the upgrade if you have a 4k player!

So Best Buy wants a review for the classic Christmas movie, Gremlins...ok. I first saw this movie when I was about 6 years old and it was terrifying! Cute creatures become little blood thirsty monsters with twisted sense of humor. Now in 4K! Seriously great movie. Buy it. Watch it. Don’t get the case wet.

Gremlins is a classic movie that set the standard of film making..I just loved how cute the Gremlins were before a rule was broken. In This case they tricked the main character to feed them after midnight By messing with his alarm clock..So all mayhem turns loose as the Gremlins are set loose on the town...I would not say its a horror movie...But more comical than anything..But im 35

A great holiday classic! A must see every Christmas. The Blu Ray disc looked a bit like an old transfer of the movie. I haven’t had a chance to try out the 4K version yet. It’s still an enjoyable movie, and one of my all time favorites. If you’ve never seen it, I highly recommend this movie. If you have seen it, it’s time to see it again.

Great 80’s movie. The picture looks great and the sound is just about the same as that of a blu-ray. Would have loved for the audio to be Dolby Atmos but have to settle for Dolby Audio or DTS HD. As for the movie, just loved it and will watch during Christmas being that it is kind of a holiday movie. Steel case is a plus, just loved it.

Gremlins has always been a fun movie and I have wanted to get this on 4K for my collection. The movie transfer is pretty good on 4k, it definitely beats my older blu ray copy. I also like the steelbook it comes in. I do wish the second movie was also available in 4K but im glad we at least have the first one.

They’re cute. They’re cuddly, and if you don’t show your 10-year old the alternate cover with the menacing hand, it will make him cry. Terrorize your six year old by suggesting that Santa died in a chimney, which is why she didn’t get any presents under the tree (not that it had anything to do with being layed off by Ms. Deagle). Happy happy!

If you're new to 4K or only have the dated transfer on the 2009 Blu Ray release, I think it's safe to say get this disc if you are a fan! Go in with modest expectations for a 1984 film. This newly created 4K transfer is well worth a purchase! The film has a softer look to it, always did. Where the transfer excels is in the warm colors and high contrast during many of the night scenes. I especially thought the neon glow in the bar scene looked great.

This movie is a must to see and is a classic. You can tell it was made with care, love, passion, and hard work with all that went into it. Its full of charm from its characters, originality, and set design, and is a lot of fun to watch. Really glad to have this one in my collection.

If you grew up in the 80’s there is no way you don’t have this in your collection. I love it every time I watch it. It’s worth it for the bar scene alone. Good old school documentaries included. I like seeing the originals. Excellent picture and sound and nice case.

Memorable characters, top-notch creatures, and incredible music. The 4k treatment isn't the best I have seen and is often quite soft but in areas with a lot of light or shadow it is still a huge step up from the blu-ray. The opening in Chinatown is pretty stunning.

What a neat Christmas story! That's right, it's a Christmas story. I love little Gizmo, cute little Mogwai that he is. The whole story is done so well, and is a lot of fun to watch. I am really happy to have little Giz and all of his pals on Blu-ray and 4 k.

I grew up in the 80’s I’m 45 now. I remember watching this as a kid but haven’t watched it since it came out. I bought it for my 13 year old son and me to watch. We laughed our buts off at the gremlins the funny stuff they did. It was a nice movie night with my son.

A Great 80's Classic film that holds up today for comedy, thrills and family fun. Loved watching this film as a kid of the 80's and finally bought the bluray to have. Your family would enjoy this film.

I bought this to upgrade my Blu-ray collection from the DVD. This is a must have for anyone that loves movies. This has it all, Christmas comedy with a little scary parts and a twist of suspense. This is a cult classic. If for some reason you (or someone you know) has not seen it, you need to buy it now. Turn down the lights, get the popcorn ready and hit play.
