The graphics and story were really amusing and not bad. The game play its self though got really repetitive really quickly. The difficulty increased which was nice but there wasnt much variation in play style. It was a bit like Catherine where youll have story and then a level. Each level you have to use a set form of magic types to attain a goal. The better the strategies the betrer the rewards towards leveling up.

Once again, Vanillaware puts out a visually stunning game! The included artbook was really nice, and has been a really nice addition with recent NIS published titles. It's great to finally have this PS2 classic on a portable system

GrimGrimoire is essentially a tower defense game. It has a unique take on the genre, and as expected of a Vanillaware title, it has beautiful artwork. The story is not very interesting to me, but it's still a good game overall.

One of Vanillaware’s first title. Inspired by RTS titles, such as Star Craft; this game has a higher than average learning curve. But unlike the original they have made it more accessible with quality of life improvements. This is a great title to have in your collection.

Loved the PS2 Version of this game and I'm happy to have bought it once again for the Nintendo Switch. It's a good little combo of a 2D RTS and a linear visual novel. The game is on the shorter end and with the fast forward feature in this so you can make battles go faster it can feel like a breeze, but it's a great experience.

Longtime fan of NIS and their library. GrimGrimoire OnceMore is an excellent remaster of a classic NIS title. As someone who extensively played the original, I'm very happy with the additions they made. The Study function adds some flare to completing missions, the personal missions help create some extra challenge, and the already unlocked Hard Mode and the unlockable Hell Mode add to the difficulty of the game and further the challenge. Physical copy also came with an artbook and character list, along with a free code to download the OST, so that was nice.
I do wish they had left the Sweet Mode difficulty in just for the sake of it, but the massive gallery of unlockable images instead was a fun surprise. I also still wish this game had a map editor (the original didn't have one either), and it would've been nice if there had been new missions. I also am disappointed it doesn't have online multiplayer. The original was on PS2, so I know why it didn't then, but a port in 2023 should have. If Capcom could add one for the Mega Man Battle Network Collection, I don't see why an RTS like GrimGrimoire doesn't have one.
Would recommend.
