A bit over the top relative to Tarentino's best, but that's what he and Rodriguez had in mind here. Some good crash it up/blow it up type action with plenty of pace in just over 3 hours combined.

This release was of the theatrical versions. I like the films but I thought this release included the extended versions of both films which I have on DVD. Good thing I read the small print & realized it wasn't what I wanted & returned it. I do not understand why the extended versions/directors cut of many great films are not released on Blu-ray. Both version can be mastered to one Blu-ray so what is the problem?!?

Special effects are ok, story line is ok too. There’s better stuff out there

I definitely preferred Kurt Russell performance in the 2nd movie. It was a good quick buy.

Would be a good set of movies if you could watch each movie separate ...both movies run into each other instead of standing on their own

This version is edited, it's not the full version of both films it was annoying watching the films

Intention to upgrade from DVD format, this disc had deleted scenes

GIGANTOR fan of Rodriguez and these two movies are legendary to say the least. I will try to be the first one in the world to buy this edition. If this means I have to build a time stopping device then I will. See what I plan on doing is stopping time and picking up this edition. I will then re-start time when I am at the register and gladly pay for my copy. Another idea I have is to build a leap portal. Then I could "leap" to the release date of October 5th 2010 and buy the movie. However I am still ironing out a couple of details with this idea. For instance if I leap forward and get the movie then leap back will the movie leave my hands because in essence it hasn't come out yet? I was also thinking of just leaping forward and not coming back and just forgetting about the time I lost. But then I would miss the season premiere of The Apprentice, Glee and the Eminem concert I am supposed to go to. Also this Sunday we are making THE BEST marinated steaks from our favorite butcher. Either way I plan on figuring this out soon. Because I really want to be the first one in the world to own this. BTW I highly suggest pumpkin iced coffee.

Neither movie features either Director's greatest work, but the way they are featured together with all the coming-soon "trailers" and nostalgic interludes (and now your feature presentation), really make this an overall enjoyable night at the home theatre. Get out the popcorn, pickles and sodas! Great action sequences, especially the car chases!

The new rerelease of this package mistakenly misprints BOTH discs with the wrong versions. For context, it’s supposed to be both films on one disc and the a second disc for bonuses. This mistakenly prints the single disc editions and is NOT what is supposed to be included, nor what was advertised. Very disappointed in this, this needs to be fixed.

While it's not the best work from Rodriguez or Tarantino, it still is a fun experience that gives you an experience of what it was like to go to a Grindhouse in the heydays of the 70s and early 80s. The fake trailers are very entertaining.
