I have watched this series more than once and finally sprang for a physical copy thanks to a great sale. Story: The story isn't exactly original and the fantasy setting is more a variation on a theme than anything else. From start to finish there is plenty of action, drama and elements of fantasy and science fiction alike. The only real issue I had with the series is that about halfway through the story takes a very dramatic turn. A first time viewer might be a little put off by this as the characters you have started to like suddenly begin to alienate you. Having watched the series more than once you can appreciate a little more why the writers decided to do this. In reality I think it makes for a nice change from the norm. Visuals/Art: This is one of the areas that absolutely sets this series apart from other genre entries. The art is absolutely amazing and it's almost worth watching for the spectacles alone. Music/Soundtrack: Like the visuals, the soundtrack is absolutely amazing and worth listening to as a stand alone. I actually heard the soundtrack well before I saw the series and decided to watch it on the strength of the music alone. Hiroyuki Sawano composed the score and Egoist did many of the theme/opening songs and there isn't a single song between them that doesn't fit perfectly with the show. It feels more like they composed an amazing soundtrack and built the rest of the show around it. Seriously, it's that good. Characters: This is an area that the series fell a little short in. The characters are likeable enough and fleshed out enough for the continuation of the plot, but they didn't feel nearly as well fleshed out as the could have. The only real exception was the main character, Shu. His character goes through a lot of changes throughout the series forcing the viewer to like, hate and eventually appreciate him at various points. Overall: The strength of the visuals and music would each be enough to make this worth the watch. Together they make this show shine even with the relatively simple plot and somewhat flat characters.

When I saw they had one box left I immediately look at it for price. To my utmost surprise. The price was less than buying the two seasons separate and it had just come out recently. I couldn't resist and bought on the spot. I love this Anime and owning it on Blu-Ray was absolutely beautiful!! My only con is they included the DVD quality which was 480p (I think) and that is really bad quality and don't know why they would include that. But for the price of $32. I can't really complain with all the discs in Blu-Ray. If you loved Guilty Crown with Shu, Inori, Hare, and the rest of them as much as I did, don't pass this up!

Guilty Crown has gorgeous animation and an action packed storyline! The characters are likeable and although the show may have some faults, they don't detract from its overall level of enjoyment. All in all, a worthy addition to my ever growing collection. The Blu-ray presentation is beautiful--crisp, clear with vivid colors that really pop. It's nice having the entire series on both Blu-ray and dvd--the set comes in a standard height Blu case that is about twice the standard case in thickness. If you like anime that has a sci-fi or mecha theme, you should enjoy Guilty Crown!

This show is incredible and Iv'e been wanting to buy it for a long time. It shipped in great time and no damage at all to the case or paper cover. I would definately recommend that any anime fan try this out and tgis was the cheapest one anywhere online.

This series from start to finish was fantastic. The music used fit wonderfully to all the designs used for the characters. The art style was phenominal i watched it straight through in one day cause i couldnt put it down. I cant say enough about this great show.

A lot of great work came together to make this series, and it shows. Great direction, voice acting, animation, writing, all telling an intriguing story. While I do prefer the first half of this anime to the second, it's overall a very good show that I would recommend to newcomers and veterans alike.

The physical quality of each of the Blu-rays was perfect! While I purchased the set for my son (and didn't actually have a chance to view them myself) it is my understanding that the storyline of entire series was excellent!

It tries to be this romance at the beginning, but changes over to an action anime . . . sort of, the key word is try. Usually we see a long struggle with the villain and the hero, and by the time the last battle happens we feel relieved that it is over, but we never see a true villain until the last 7 episodes; it hints to one, but with no back story until later. The romance is all but forgotten at the second half of the anime and the action only happens for split seconds. I don't know what they were trying to accomplish but I would have preferred more action. I found myself waiting for grand things to happen and for only 5 episodes I was happy with the turn of events. The other episodes were boring.

First half is fun a resistance n a kud trying to help. 2nd half the kids in charge n i get lost. If your an anime fan of sword art online or death note this may be for you. If your into dragonball or pokemon it may not.

This was a very unexpected buy and pleasure to watch. It was different: soundtrack, story, characters, I enjoyed it all because it was good and different.

Went into the series not really knowing what to expect. After completing the series, it left me wanting more. It definitely does not disappoint!

It's a decently priced complete anime series. It's full of action, drama and suspense. It leaves you wanting more as in a longer series.

This was for my stepson, who was on a blu-ray buying spree at the time. He's an anime buff and he says it was a good buy. Four stars based on his recommendation.

The series starts off with promise, but ends up showing the standard cliches that plague action shows. Still a fun watch if you just enjoy it for what it is.

This is a awesome show it has action, drama, some comedy, and suspense. Great buy for the price.

This was a pretty entertaining series. It feels like a cross between Code Geiss and the game The 3rd Birthday.

Kiddo loves anime series. He was happy to get this series to add to his collection.
