I purchased this for my husband for christmas. He has had previous versions of it and really enjoys it.

Great game! I purchased this gift for my husband for Christmas Eve because every time we went to the store I saw him eyeing it. He was very excited to open Guitar Hero and he started playing it on the spot. There are a lot of great new features and the buttons look a lot different from the 360 version. This one also provides more of a challenge compared to the earlier version. We loved it so much, we had to purchase another guitar for me.

Finally GH returns with one of its best. Extremely entertaining game with a new layout on the guitar.

I was one of the best fake guitar players around when the original guitar hero and rock band first came out. Now, I can't help but feel the franchise is tired and so are my eyes and fingers. This new version just didn't give me the excitement and fun I was used to having back in the day. One of the major changes is with the guitar itself. Instead of the iconic 5 button fretboard, It now has six. 3 buttons up top and 3 bellow making a column. The track list is ok at best, but does not come close to the songs of its' predecessor. If you're a die hard fan, pick it up. If you're like me, it wasnt worth coming out of retirement

New controller is a little tougher - only 3 sets of buttons, but with a top and bottom. Takes a little to get used to it (I'm not a regular guitar player). Presentation is good, and the same fun is there in the game. The songs are a little more limited, with the ability to play what you want when you want based on in-game credits (which I think you can buy, too, of course), which brings it down. While selection of music is pretty wide, a lot of old songs from previous games don't seem available.

I played a lot of these games growing up, so I decided to purchase this for my nephew. He ended up really liking it once he got the hang of it (he's 10 now). I like how they've changed up the buttons from the old 5 different color ones, as it adds a new challenge to those of us that have played before. It ended up being fun for the whole family and everyone was fighting to play. Hopefully a full rock band set comes out for xbox one soon, so I can get him that as well.

What can I say, music is the soul of the heart. We love this game and it really provides family fun.

I enjoyed the feeling of playing live on stage but the songs that are available to play are mostly top 40 songs that I have never heard of and the songs that I did recognize, I hated. Then there is the Guitar Hero TV which has a ton of songs that are way better but it only plays the official music video to the song in the background while you play. On top of that you have to earn coins in order to unlock a song to play. And if you want to play a song that you have already "unlocked", you have to pay again with the in-game currency (coins). I tried to trade the game and guitar in at Gamestop and they wouldn't take it.

I have been playing guitar hero since the first one came out, I have been really enjoying this one.

This is more challenging then the old guitars to use. The game play is good and better graphics.

The game is really fun. I like the idea of paying for plays instead of songs on GHTV. It opens the game up to more songs for free and a larger variety especially if you play the channels more than individual songs.

Lots of fun great for the whole Family! Bought for my 13 year old as gift plays it for hours.

It’s a great game! Tons and tons of awesome songs to play on it. You really feel like your live on stage playing for a crowd. The only thing I don’t like is the guitar is completely different from the original so you have to learn how to use it. It takes a while to figure it out and I don’t like that. If you already know how to play an actual guitar, then you probably won’t have any problems. But I had a lot of issues trying to get the hang of it.

The new spin on the guitar for this game has mad an old game seem like a whole new concept.

Such a great way to get everyone on the house up and active! Awesome family fun
