Got it for my wife. She likes it. It's got a bigger learning curve than the original Guitar Hero games (which could be played with just a 360 controller), but still fun.

Certainly different than other music games, even old guitar Heros... The controls take some getting used to (they are not easy) and I usually love the games you can sing with (ex. Rockband) cause you don't have to have other players to sing, if you want to sing you just do it. Sadly this is not the case with this game, you can't do anything without the guitarist present, this unfortunately renders the game useless to me. If your looking for more of a challenge on the guitar games though this is certainly a challenge, the "live" aspect is pretty awesome, basically a constant "live" stream of music videos to play along to

Glad that the GH folks decided to tweak just about everything--great to have a new experience with something that still feels familiar.

I love the new guitar frets/buttons, it makes it feel more like a real guitar. There's more variety (in terms of genre) in songs. I'm a big fan of GHTV, it let's me play against other players as well as discover new songs. GH Live is okay, but I prefer using a character than playing onstage through a first person point of view.

I was able to get this for less than $20, which has tremendous value with the guitar controller alone. Game model could be better but still great for price.

The control is different from the earlier version with the colored buttons, but over all it is still good. Love the game. You can play Live or TV.

The live concert sections are a lot of fun even though it seems really cheesy. My problem with this game is that you cannot buy specific songs and most of the soundtrack does not belong in a guitar hero game.

Solo mode is a quick play through and multiplayer is essentially just more songs. Good features for kids to play (he just has to strum the white line)

Fun new challenge with the new controller, but song selection in quickplay and story is weak. Live has some good picks, but it costs to play

I love that the game has a TV feature where you can play newly updated songs weekly which adds to a better gaming experience

Makes Guitar Hero fun again with a new guitar and game layout. Don't particularly care that you only have a limited amount of "Free Plays" though.

I enjoyed playing this game for about 10-20 hours of gameplay. It does not really worth going back to unless you're a hardcore guitar hero fan.

Still a great game and the online mode kept it worth playing. Hopefully the song set lists continue to grow even larger.

Still fun, but I was so used to the old one. Still, I am having fun and my kids like it much better.

Bought it for our daughter for Christmas to upgrade the old guitar hero. Worked out great she plays it almost every day

It's hard to get used to the new guitar. Changing to rock band. Should have gone that way after reading the reviews before this purchase but I thought he would like it since it's the live version.

My child loves this game! He was unsure about the new controls but now he loves it! Great song choices!

I was really excited to purchase this and play as I use to play it when I was younger. But I've been nothing but disappointed since I got it. It took me five times to calibrate the audio with it. Which needless to say is super annoying and honestly don't think it still is right. The guitar itself has a button that is hard to press. Honestly it would almost be cheaper and better to buy and xbox 360 with guitar hero used then it would be to buy this new one.
