Guitar Hero Refreshed

Brings back the nostalgia with a much smarter guitar design. The career mode is disappointing (awful set lists, playing dubstep on guitar is not ideal)... but GH Live is pretry awesome. Makes me pine for the glory years of MTV.

If you had play previous versions in the past, it takes a bit to get used to the new guitar layout. Once you have gotten used to the controls the game is enjoyable with a great set list, and updated DLC.
Only complaint I had was fair amount of stuttering/lag issues even after calibration.

Got this as a gift for the kids - the game is great! Also, want to thank Best Buy for a great price and fast shipping on this item and all the other items I purchased for Christmas. Nice job!

Pick this up as a black Friday deal as I played this years back and thought I would give it another try. Great game and new features. if you liked the old ones give this one a try.

I'm confused right about now. Is this just the CD for the game? Or this comes with the guitar also? because how could it be $70 and other websites have it for $100

Set up was sort of a hassle. I dont like the new GHTV button on the guitar because you can accidentally hit it and it will end you game and take you to that micro transaction nonsense they have going on.

New Twist on Guitar Hero

It took a bit of time to get used to 2 rows of 3 buttons instead of the old single row of 5 buttons on the guitar controller, but it makes the game feel "new" to play. Playing a lot of the older games, it really did mess with my muscle memory and took me out of my comfort zone. I'd say pick this up if you are looking for a new challenge, or stick with Rock Band 4 if you want to play the same old control scheme on the new consoles.

I was a little skeptical about this product since there were six buttons. But I like a challenge and now I cannot stop playing when friends come over. I think I'll have to get another guitar just to keep everyone playing.

42 songs and maybe 5 are good. Wife got me this for christmas. Usb connection was a big pain in the butt since I got 2 guitars. I beat the game and I'm sitting here thinking what is this! Old guitar hero was awesome. Guitar hero live is s***. New guitar buttons are cool and challenging. Still s***

We keep buying all Guitar Hero games because it's always fun to play with family and even alone. The sensation of playing to a live audience is the biggest feature!

I would have put 5 stars but I'm not really a guitar hero player. My wife is happy and she loves it!! they could have started you out with more songs.. but they have to sell dlc so I get it... 4 out of 5 stars!!

So i had my friend tell me he got the new guitar hero game which i didn't care for. I played it and liked it. Went out and bought the game and about 2 weeks later the wireless guitar starts not responding anymore. Didn't bring it back because i would have been told you broke it after 2 weeks of having like any other store. So no i hate having it because the controller doesn't work due to faulty components. I love guitar hero but i am never buying anything from best buy again due to this being the 7th time i got something and it being in someway broken.

The game is good, the guitar not so much.

After playing the game for a few hours, the guitar starts to suffer from an issue with the strum bar. The strum bar will either not register a downward press or do a double strum which renders the game unplayable. This issue has been reported on the official support forums for Activision and on the guitar hero sub reddit with little to no acknowledgement of the issue. This appears to be a growing widespread issue.

Guitar hero just got way more complicated than it needs to be. The new button layout is frustratingly hard to nail down coming from the older games, and is even harder to master on a controller that shouldn't have even made it past quality control. My controller shipped with a black #3 button that sticks, and a strum bar that double, triple, and even quadruple strums in both directions. As for the gameplay itself, as long as you're doing well, its fine once you get used to the controls. However, once you star doing poorly, the fans, your bandmates, and your stage crew will start telling you how much you suck at the game (in "live" mode anyway), which is very degrading and would make the average player not want to pick up the game again.
